Continuing the jiyu ippon kumite series is this video on the yokogeri attack. There are three main defences against the yokogeri (side kick) attack in the SKIF system. Each defence is shown in this video.

@PETEtheTRAINER Hi Pete, Thanks for the positive comments on my videos. In answer to your question about the Japanese word for "timing". It is "hyoushi". The "ou" indicates a long vowel sound on the "o". Thanks again. Paul

In the book of "The Complete Kumite" by Hirokazu Kanazawa. The Yoko-Kekomi No.3 the elbow strike is to the back of the head. (see pictures on page 127)

Oops hit wrong key! I left to train with Sensei N Adamou, back in the eighties, when Sensei Adamou formed his own association with Sensei Kanazawa's blessing.
