But a “ball” is when the pitcher throws the baseball and it does not hit that invisible square and instead goes some absolutely random place, a “ball” does not have to be hit by the batter but a strike does. Anyway the umpire makes the call wether it is a ball or a strike and when there was a “ball” that there was no way the batter could hit, people get super mad when that umpire calls that “ball” a strike

The echo from a gunshot is like rolling thunder instead, and you can hear the gunshots if they hit or not if you're a bit far enough away. So it's technically an echoing but not how you would recognize it, because it breaks the sound barrier you won't hear a true echo.

As you drive, you can feel how powerful it is, and it's fun and exciting, like an adrenaline rush. That also applies to shooting, like targets on a range. It can also be useful, getting you from point A to point B. Same goes for hunting or defense, to feed or protect your family. However, it's not all good. In a car, you can crash, hit a pedestrian, hit another car, hurt (or worse) yourself and/ or others, etc. With guns, the same applies, but bullets can travel a lot further with less warning than a car can. Guns aren't all bad, but it's all dependent on the handling and reason for using them. The biggest gun fanatics I know are also the absolute safest and careful with them because they understand the consequences of making a preventable mistake.

similar thing happened to me. I was at a high school football game, and we were leaving when a couple people got in a fight and two guys opened fire and injured three people. It kind of traumatized and also the fact that the night before, a 5 year old was shot, and a 20 year old man was killed in the same city. To make it worse, the shooting occurred on youth night, so it was super busy, and there were loads of people there. Sad these things happen

This happened at a school near me. Camden vs Pleasantville 2 NJ teams. Some scumbag started shooting into the bleachers and an 11 year old was caught in the crossfire and sadly passed. Sad how these dudes bring these problems to youth games and have zero regard for the community when these games are supposed to be a safe haven from that kind of shit.

For those who don’t know gunshots have a cadence to them where you can almost predict the next shot. Fireworks are random sounding with no particular cadence to them.

I used to go to soccer training in a town that was known for gang violence. Multiple times a month, there would be a shooting somewhere in the distance, as I was a new tryout for the team, I asked my teammates what that sound was, as it sounded far louder than anything a bike could make. He responded nonchalantly that it was gunfire, and that everyone in the team was pretty used to it already. Even me, who after a year of being in the team, learned to zone it out. But there was many times that we couldn’t go home because of a shooting or stabbing nearby, so we would have to stay in the pitch until police came. It was scary stuff, but I only know realize how dumb it was to stay in that team, and that area.

I had this happen during one of my games, big shooting happening outside right field fence. Everyone sprinted away , I really didn’t know what was goin on so I just jogged out the entrance and waited for 30 minutes until they realized it was unrelated shooting, and resumed the game.
