The NewWaveToys teaser is most definitely an arcade control deck, it's literally the same shape as both of my Mortal Kombat Fight Sticks... just without the control layout and artwork. I would make a big bet that this full sized control deck is going to be a precursor announcement to coincide with a future 1:6 scale arcade cabinet that can't be played (easily) at that small of a scale due to the control type. I think that this is going to be their answer to many of the Replicades that we want made, that can't really be played at 1:6 scale. This might start an entirely new line of control decks, or it might be modular. I can also pretty much guarantee that this isn't 1 piece of an entire full sized cabinet slowly being revealed, control decks aren't designed this way to install on a cabinet... this design is made for stand-alone.

Loved this stream! I found it hilarious that Danny is unintentionally catfishing people as MrsCC 🤣 (Nothing but love for Mr& MrsCC!) Also them people trash talking B need to step back. So bizarre this self appointed Gatekeeper crap. You’d think in the land of geeks and nerds such as the Home Arcade community, folks would want to shun or belittle others since all too often the outside world does that to us (especially in the past) but instead some want to be “the authentic superior nerd/geek” in the land of nerds and geeks and belittle or shun thier own kind like the outside world perhaps has done to them … I hate to break it to them but they are giving payback to the wrong people. Yeah, A1up went for lower resolution in favor of better gameplay. It's too bad At games 4k is showing up with lag. With their initial announcement, I anticipated them nailing this. At this point I feel bad for Zen Studios......

1:02:51 That's actually what I first envisioned, but then it becomes an Ugly Multicade layout with all thr buttons like anything else. I love the idea of Replica Arcade Control Decks with Accurate Controls and from the Accurate Manufacturer to provide us eith an Authentic Control experience from thr control to be used on a TV. CouchCade. They could standardize the shape which i mentioned a couple of times plays on the History of Arcade Controls, but the actual buttons, Stick, Design and layout of the Case changes on a per game bases.

The question I would like to know: If they used more powerful hardware, does it eliminate the lag? I’d just like to see it tested. I know they’re trying to get the software to run on the current system. Imagine the nightmare of that being the only solution, required recall. I gotta say, everybody picking on Cornercade was really annoying. Lost respect for JR.

That's a great question! Look, we have had life examples of Hardware receiving Software Updates that can reduce Input delay, like say how MS Further reduced Input Delay on their Series X and Xbox One Controllers through a Software Patch which changed some Protocols and how Data was being managed. Obviously we know Hardware can make a difference, but it is yet to be seen if Computing Hardware can fix the issue even through we know that in theory, it can. But what I am wondering about most, is the actual Display used. Look... As a Console Gamer. I have never seen a Display that Wasn't Plasma or a TN Panel, Or an Expensive IPS Panel that had good Viewing Angles, Color Reproduction, and Very Low Input delay at th size being used on the Vpins. Not that they didn't exist back in the day, or even today, just that the speed of the panel is often talked about when it's something worth mentioning. Look at what happened to the BOE. It has its issues but it has become something worth talking about in A1UP cabs for a reason! So at the screen size being used on these Vpins I suspect that the Baked in Input delay from the display is compounding the issue more than the software is, or the hardware that's running it. I would love to be wrong because that could then mean that maybe these guys just need to drop the Resolution down a bit to allow for faster rendering and this decrease input delay. Since they are in 4K, that hopefully gives them enough of a room to dial in on a resolution that is low enough to get the games running full speed, but high enough that they still look Great! It would be a shame if they had to say cut the resolution down to 1080p, but could be a win if they have to go down to 1440p which is 2K. Half the resolution.

From my perspective, Kong can make whatever video he wants, it's a free country. But Stern knew that this gungate thing was an issue very early on and reaching out to people outside of the usual suspects was damage control. And lets face it, some people have a reputation for smoothing over problems that companies like A1up and Atgames have. So deserved or not, that is the perception. I'm in the camp of people that are red hot pissed at stern right now and I wouldn't put it past them to have set Kong up to take heat for them.

It's very simple people wanna play tables, that they know in real life. It's as simple as that. They should find a way to offer the real world tables we know and love they can sell them. Those tables need to be designed for the Hardware and it should work out of the box... And simulating a pinball table is not that resource intense. For licensing, also very simple, the owners of the original tables would also make money from this... I don't understand the problem.

I don't believe JR's comment about the flipper lag being this unrealistically spread thing that happens through social media. The flipper lag is very noticeable. It makes some of the most exciting tables on the Zen system impossible to play, and that is disappointing. My wife has not followed any of the social media on any of this at all. But Twilight Zone is her favorite game. We bought it. Yesterday, I installed it on the game. She played for five seconds and said, "Wow. What's up with this flipper lag?" And that is without getting involved in all the negative talk going on and then the negativity they've got running. So it's still very much a real issue that everyone immediately can detect. There's no moral outrage happening here. It just needs to be fixed, and it's not acceptable.

Until the flipper lag is fixed they shouldn't release anymore Zen Tables. This is Zen's mess and they need to fix it. AtGames is partially at fault because they partnered with Zen knowing there was lag thinking it would be repaired by the time they released the 4K pinball machines. Now they are stuck with tables that are selling for 5 bucks when they could be charging at least twice that. I know I'm not buying anymore Zen tables until it's fixed. I've got 6 great looking Zen tables and don't play any of them because of the lag.

And the AtGames fan page definitely deletes negative posts. every single post I made about the lag was deleted. And it wasn't non stop like you insinuate. It was twice. After that I had them remove me from their page. I don't support censorship in any way. And it also makes the fan page look like AtGames has the actual control. And I'm not hating on the Atgames pinball machine. I love it. The tables that work are awesome and the built quality is top notch in my opinion. When you consider what you would pay for a standard sized 4k table from anyone else it would set you back up to 4 times the cost of this.

47:57 That to me Looks like an Obvious Arcade Control Deck Console. See, For me it looks like the MAS Arcade Stick which is a Retro Home Console Arcade Stick which used American Buttons. So because of that, and the fact that it was designed to replicate the look and feel of an arcade Cab, they were fesigned big and bulky. So for my Eyes, It looks like the Folks @ New Wave and Glen said to themselves, How about we Replicate thr Design of the MAS and Slap a Computer in it since Computers are getting smaller and smaller, and this Arcade Stick Case is so dman Big. MAS Arcade Sticks are Currently being Produced by ScanLine City.

From a business only point of view they are playing a dangerous game. The bad PR from people critisizing the unit could be very damaging for the company, its a shame cos i welcome lots of people to the vpin community. I made myself a 'Steam' pinball fx cabinet about 5 years ago using a 1050ti and an i5 and it was amazing fun and a gateway drug into VPX/SSF/4k. its a shame but they need to be VERY careful. I just cant help but think that chipset is NOT going to run 4k @ 60fps without downgrading the games.

That's why the comparison isn't fair, one thing matters for the safety of people 😂 But given the context of your comment, I would say it would defeat th entire purpose of our society in America if we all just bought in to whatever company did whatever they wanted at whatever quality. The whole purpose of the damn markets is to buy the best product available. So it's insane to entertain ideas or behavior that pacifies someone.

I actually was gonng to make a post a few seconds from the time stamp I used, but it came up naturally when it was mentioned that some people think if no one says anything then it wont get fixed. You know something that I don't understand is why this Community doesnt apply the Logic that's used in th rest of the Gaming Community. That angle or idea that if someone doesnt say anything about a problem then the Company or Corporation won't fix it is absolutely a real situation. What's funny for me is that I was able to see the input delay on Video, a few seconds on steam last night is all it took for me to see it, which is why i said thr input delay looks Palpable. The danger is in a Greater Majority that is either Willfully Ignorant, or Unintentionally misinformed do what they always do. The Majority leads The Minorities, so you can imagine what sense of Urgency Minorities feel when they are seeing, hearing, or senseing things other people aren't. From my perspective as a 35 Year old who has been cutting his teeth in thr Online Trenches of Console Gaming, Whsts happening here and how people are reacting is par for the course. It's just unfortunate that it's a Older Generation that also thinks its ok to berate others. You would be shocked to know that the dudes in their 40s and 50s are no different than the kids in their 20s and 30s. I can tell you this from rhe Outside Perspective that I have. That's why sometimes I don't get what you guys don't get what is going on in a given situation, Because its no different than what Gamers do anywhere else, and everywhere else the Gamer has alreddy been Figured out. I do get a sense that because you guys are Older, You think you arent Gamers, And don't anticipate your Peers to act out for the same reasons as those that are Younger than You.
