Great video! Would you consider speaking on a live to Jenn Jackson about it?

Thank you for speaking directly and candidly on this topic. I'm happy to see that this is being discussed openly and honestly so that both consumers and professionals alike can be made aware. I completely agree with your approach to addressing clients concerns and desires with their cut. At the end of the day, clients just want to be reassured that we have their best interests while offering full disclosure about their hair and service. ❤🙏👏

Very good video Aubrey. I agree that getting your hair stretched for cuts 1 to 2 times a year is the sweet spot. Also i do not think curly cuts are bad. Finding the right stylist to partner with and following an individualized routine is key to healthy hair success.

Thanks for talking about this. I do have question. Lets say you marry the two cuts (blow out cut then dry curly cut to tweak), when its time to cut hair again months later (blow out then curly cut again) wouldn't the person lose more inches off hair? Because you'd have to even everything out again in blow out cut? Im just thinking about all those previously cut "curly cut" pieces. I hope im making sense lol😂❤ Thanks for sharing

Great question! The adjustments are actually quite minor if your curl pattern is mostly consistent. If you are really tight in one area vs loose at the nape or in other areas more adjustments may be needed. Remember that the blow out is to have the easiest view of the health of the hair strands along with the midshaft and ends. Once the foundation is laid then we move on to shape. When I’m familiar with the person’s curl pattern I can most times adjust my cut in the blown out state. However, many that love a good shaping are happy to do loose a little length INITIALLY.. even after the initial healthy hair cut to create their desired look. This makes for a dope grow out that may not need another cut for 4-6 months depending on how much manipulation and how well the hair is maintained. Hope this answers your question. @majormediaproductions
