Begging? Blaming others for failure? No wonder such countries get no respect. Look at Asian countries that were colonised. Instead of giving excuses they have gone on to be successful. Barbados got independence in 1966. So what have they achieved? High crime rate, depending on tourists for income. Even as minorities in the US, UK etc you wont find Asians doing badly and blaming it on discrimination.

@@dr.mobarakali255 many countries have injustices commited against them. But they go on to build up their own countries. But there is this race that can only beg blame. Chased out the white man and then now look to China. Singapore got independence in 1965 and is way ahead Barbados because they look to the future. There was high crime rate, slums, poor amenities, gangs etc but Lee Kuan Yew transformed it. Why isnt there one black country who can do that whether in the Caribbean or Africa? Your mindset holds you back.

@@cuprashoeyou are ignorant of the fact that the wealth you enjoy and the standard of living experienced by these countries are due to the exploitation of the resources of others both material and human and in the process they went a about trying to destroy the minds of those people. By giving repatriation it helps to reduce the time taken for the development of the people to be on an scale as the others who didn't have to go through that ordeal. What we are experiencing presently is individuals making efforts with the necessary support to succeed. But as a people and nations affected we are still way off the mark. Those successful many times have to dance to the beat of the colonisers drum.

Are you saying, let’s pay reparations to those that commit atrocities, then when it suits them reverse their actions? We should praise the UK for fighting to free the people that they enslaved? Really!
@twolanelife7656
@twolanelife7656 3 күн бұрын
@allyomeally-watson3285 Impoverished white people, that did not own slaves, fought against impoverished white people, that did not own slaves, so that slaves could be free. Most of our ancestors did not free themselves. People, who for the most part had no care nor affection for Black slaves, killed their own kinsmen, so that slaves could be free. They were forced to fight to the death, just as our ancestors were forced to work to their death. Both situations are beyond comprehension, as it relates to human's inhumanity, against each other, but had Americans not fought to death to end the confederacy, slavery would've continued unchallenged, just as the enslavement of Africans has continued, "TO THIS DAY." All one has to do is to research Slavery in modern day Africa. It's still going on. I don't know why slavery of the black man has so quietly persisted, from the building of the pyramids, to this day, without much outrage...from Black people. White folks killed each other, to stop the enslavement of Black people. History is still waiting for Black People to systematically abolish the enslaving of black people.

@@twolanelife7656largely true but slavery isn't a Black thing... it's something almost all humans are guilty of... and Blacks didn't build the pyramids it was Semitic peoples... also slavery exists in sections of North-West Africa not Africa.... there's a big difference 😊 some of the slavery in Africa is because of Western neo colonialism and neo imperialism such as France... so there's much nuance here... people have genuine grievances on all sides

Thomas Sowell goes into great detail about this worldwide phenomenon. In my view the World Bank and ImF debt in Africa and Carribean needs to be written off and no further loans taken as the compounded interest is a problem. communities are in need of healing and cooperation. welfare never settles these issues

Did england not enslaved Afrikans for centuries? Did england upon ending the enslavement of Afrikans, not pay repararions to the enslavers for loss of their property (enslaved Afrikans/their labor), and not to the enslaved Afrikans who had done All the work that enriched said enslavers? England i.e., the british empire is to blame and should be held accountable to the fullest degree for that horrific inhumane barbaric period in its history!! And, yes they most certainlu should pay, heavily, reparations, including money to the descendants of said enslaved Afrikans, including compound interest!!!
