Now that there will be no Diddy after parties to attend, I think it's safe for them to win!!!!! However, BTS doesn't need a Grammy, the Grammys need BTS!!!!! Face it, when the BTS post-award podcast almost doubled the actual Grammy ceremony, you've been proven IRRELEVANT!!!!!!

I don't think they need it at all - pretty much all my favourite artists don't have a nominations or wins from The Grammys but since they want it I hope in their lifetime they can at least get one

I think that they would always be safe--they don't go to after parties, they come back to the hotel and do a livestream with ARMY.

I did actually stumble across your KZbin channel & will be checking out your podcast as well. You did such an amazing job. I really enjoyed it & wholeheartedly agreed with everything that you said. Right down to the empassioned cussing & armored fight mode all Army possesses. Every single person that is Army, has gone through a dark time in their life. At that moment in time, there came a BTS song that reached that person to the depths of their soul. That one song either brought them into the BTS universe, or they immediately became Army. For me, it was "More" by JHope. I became Army before I knew what that meant. We love them so much that we just want them to have the success & respect they all deserve. All seven of them just shine brilliantly. I can't wait to see what they do next. ✨️💜

I truly appreciate you taking the time to stop in to check out the podcast! The old adage in the fandom that BTS finds you when you really need them the most was very true for me. 2019 was very brutal and 2020 wasn't much better and that was when they truly spoke to me through their music. More was so so good - I ADORED the music video for it a lot too!

JK is truly amazing. Euphoria is actually one of my favourite tracks from him period and it's still a long standing song that gets tons of streams from me. Standing Next To You was instantly a hit for me - I knew immediately too!

Same. That was as experimental as it gets and while hip-hop is his main focus he dips into so many different genres I can easily see The Grammys dismissing just for that. I could do an entire podcast on just that album

I’ve loved everything you’ve said about our guys, and I’m thrilled with your enthusiasm. I can be over the top about BTS and it’s good to meet someone that thinks just like me! And yes, you’re spot on about JK’s genius talent, I feel sorry for anyone who can’t see how close to perfection he truly is. I can feel how untapped his potential is, mark my words, this man will become the biggest icon in history. I hope JK can survive his own journey to greatness, it may be a lot to take. I am sooo here for it. I also feel that my bias JHope will also stand out with his unique talents and vision. BTS is truly one of kind - Seven people who truly fit together in a perfect storm of events. JK is such a powerhouse and I can't understand how SNTY isn't bigger than it is. Jhope too is a triple threat ( I miss his singing as much as I love him as a rapper/dancer)

I put a little note in the video with that jump from me talking about RPWP to talking about Indigo and WildFlower. It was sadly an editing choice because the video/podcast was already SO SO long. It's unfortunate choice because I rambled a lot without picking a specific song or two from RPWP . I often do these things with little to no notes so I sometime get lost in talking too much (and somehow even with all that I cut out it was still over 40 minutes lol)

BTS needs to not agree to perform when (not if) they are nominated again - teach those idiots a lesson. Even stateside, we know who wins is not indicative of talent or appeal. They will nominate an artist and get them to perform - which boosts their ratings for the show - but not give them a Grammy. (Other artists have also stated such - I am not just making it up) However, once the Grammys receive enough blowback (& if the artist is still going strong) they sometimes toss a Grammy their way. Also, watch the video (sorry I forgot the title - something like a music insider "spills the beans" on the industry) The video describes about how the corporate money greases the palms there & decides who wins. It's sad, but true. That said - BTS is due for one of those "oh here - have a Grammy so people will get off our case & you will agree to perform again." I have a sneaky feeling they will toss one their way via one of the solo acts. *smh*

That's pretty much how it goes. If they even toss them one, I hope like you that they don't give them another performance - but I have a feeling that they will. The show still has too much prestige that BTS will still find value in the merit of it to perform again. It's maddening

BTS , has less of a chance of getting a Grammy because of the number of categories they submit their music to for consideration. It's rare for them to submitted to more than than one category. Artists like Taylor Swift basically throw everything against the wall and see what sticks. I don't know how much it costs for each submission, but they can afford it. I don't think Bang PD always advised them correctly for US submissions. I feel so sad this year because if their submissions are nominated it pits 5 members against each other. So many artists have spoken out how BTS should have won for Butter including Justin Bieber whom JK admires. He's the reason JK appeared on Too Much. The Kid Laroi wanted to use JK on one of the tracks on his album and Justin told him Too Much was perfect w/ Central Cee as well. Laroi flew out to Korea and they also did some skits as well. If you haven't yet seen it, enjoy it!💜

Totally agree with all you said especially your comment about SNTY. I haven’t watched the Grammy’s in over 30 years because of their habit of only recognizing the chosen few. No matter how much I wish SNTY would and should win I know in my heart it want, and to spare me further heartache I still want watch the Grammys to see our boys being used for views/ratings.

Thank you! 💜 WINGS era was such a turbulent time for them so I know they went through some painful life situations to get to that album but visually and musically it's right up my alley. I still get chills watching the tour trailer for it. Lie is so so powerful - that song is one of a kind. It deserves every accolade that it gets!

I think its more that RM wasn't interested in appealing to the Western audience. RM has made it clear for him its about art more than fame.

I do get the sense like the poster below that Joon wasn't as interested in western appeal for Indigo (or RPWP) but still included a couple of English based singles for a more indie/niche crowd in the west to enjoy. He's been more vocal about his pride in his heritage and paying homage to Korean artists/thought leaders etc...and I think it's deliberate to take the west validation off the pedestal while still enjoying taking new artistic risks in his career. All that said - Closer to me is such a solid hit song that it still irritates me to no end that it's so underrated outside of the fandom. It's sonically too damn good of a song that deserved more hype.

I only watched the Grammys when BTS arrived. This award institution is so crooked and the music industry so disgusting that should BTS ever win a Grammy, it means Grammy is grasping for relevance, survival and hopefully re-engineering and broadening its scope towards foreign talent and domestic talent. Unlike the American moguls, HYBE, by all metrics, is seeking young, trainable talent on many continents. (Keep an eye on Katseye) Instead of exploiting talent via Puff Diddy and signing them to slave, indentured contracts, HYBE is doing the right thing.

The Grammys just have their own skewed politics imbedded within. It's a losing game all around and I wish most artists in general would ignore them.
