My husband had a cardiac arrest and when the paramedics got to our house they asked me if I wanted him intubated, I said yes because he had not been anointed. They got him to the hospital and the doctor tried to get his heart to start. He said that he was able to get one artery slightly open and the heart started beating. He was on the respirator for over two weeks he had a feeding tube, he had another heart attack while he was on the respirator! Thank Almighty God that his Doctor was a devout Catholic and he never gave up on him! Long story short he recovered after many prayers and his brain recovered and was able to golf and enjoyed six and a half more years! Praise God that he answered our prayers! He died a very peaceful death two years ago at home with his scapular on and our dear Blessed Mother with him!! Never give up, pray hope and leave it in God’s hands to do his will, not ours!!

no donor organs except for kidney, bc you can live with just one. organ donors are ALIVE. They don't want dead organs from dead people. Thank you Bishop.

Not necessarily. Eye donation can save sight and eyes are NEVER taken until after death; typically a few hours after the body has been taken to the morgue.

You can give part of your liver as well. The liver can completely regenerate as long as there is about a third of it. Meaning you can donate half your liver, and it will grow back in both you, and the recipient. I believe lung transplants are technically possible as well, because you can live with just one. But I don't think anyone actually does single lung transplants from volunteers.

I removed myself from the donor registry just a few days ago. All these stories of people waking up when being prepped for organ donation has really hit me hard. I worked in the ICU and had to help prep a 20 something year old guy while testing was done on him. He had to be stomach down on the bed, feet raised in order to drain his lungs. I managed the ventilator until ready to take him down to operating room. Then in the hold for several hours, waiting for gift of life to come. Luckily I was able to leave and switch with the next shift RT. It was the creepiest and saddest thing to be a part of, knowing he was still alive. Now I think, what if he too were conscious while having his organs removed?

What if he could hear the conversations around him? How horrific that would be and he could not do anything about it.
@katdunn79343 минут бұрын
@ohwhataday7171 exactly! I really didn't know much about this stuff back then. Just saying they are brain dead and repeating the tests several times, was supposed to be proof enough to use their bodies. I shudder to think how many actually were "awake" and feeling everything.

NO!!!!!! When you sign that you give up your rights to medical care I know this from experience . My spouse had an anurysm that burst. When I called the ambulance when I realized what was happening the cops showed up first and they interferred and falsely accused them of an overdozed which was a bald face lie. They gave them narcan which caused them to go into a massive heart attack. when I told them they didnt do any drugs of any kind outside of perscription they stuck to the overdose lie and they had to take them to two different ers for them to take them. They let them lay on the gurney for 2 hours before they would transfer them to a hospital that could do something. Their heart was still beating when they took them down there and harvested them. They're family interferred and signed the paperwork. when they took the breathing machine off they were still alive and it made no difference to them at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ORGAN HARVESTING IS EVIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OSCHNERS OF NEW ORLEANS DID THIS. BETWEEN THE COPS THE AMBULANCE COMPANY AND THE HOSPITALS THEY RAN IT LIKE A CRIMINAL RING.

It’s evil that’s driven this harvesting there are stories out there about how meds have interfered with person waking up and they were not brain dead. People need to be aware of what their love ones have been given for meds and there effects
@pmreynolds454747 минут бұрын
I think its akin to cannibalism kidneys, blood, bone marrow parts that you continue to live normally after donating is ok but the push to take organs from someone who is still alive but with poor prognosis is murder.no to putting it on a drivers license

There are many stories of people with heart transplants who took on characteristics of the donor. It's pretty creepy in some ways

You'll get them regardless. Just like those who died in fire, or were buried at sea will. The question is whether it's appropriate to let someone else borrow them in the mean time
@PoisonShot2031 минут бұрын
God didn't intend for our body be cut and pieces and give to others. We all got be resurrected, 8magine what mess it will be?
@marvalice34555 минут бұрын
It won't be a mess. Just like it won't be a problem for the holy martyrs who were eaten by beasts, or anyone who died in a fire or even simply had their body decay into dust. Don't get me wrong. I'm very glad you are thinking about this, and that is an important question to ask. And it's the reason why taking your organs without consent would be a mortal sin even if donated organs where admissable. But I don't think that alone can answer the question of whether donated organs are permissible

@@carolynkimberly4021 that's a very imprudent statement. It's much safer to say that the CCC is not as clear on certain topics as we would like.
