For me it’s a fantastic option. A problem I’ve always had with the north curve is that, as good as the displays look, they are much smaller than they could be in correspondence to the size of the ground. The north curve is also not really a stand so if we made ‘the Celtic end’ it is more likely to become one of those iconic stands across Europe for atmosphere

Would be all for this my seat is 117 and we stand for European games and games against sevco but any other game it’s frowned upon and told to sit down, 10,000+ stand for fans who want to stand whole game and create an atmosphere would be brilliant 👌

Only way is to rebuild the south stand - imagine it was anfield size with lower tier standing 🥸 n another note I think the ultras section has ruined European atmosphere - the whole ground used to spontaneously purr, now it is choreographed crap. Also get the SAM song riddy in the bin.

I would to see Green bridge and bhoys and soccer crew join together and create 1 hell of an atmosphere in tht Jock stein stand and make it a 13,000 standing section it would make Paradise even louder just like the jungle days

Real name is Arryn, ignore the channel name, would personally love to see an expanded standing section although I'd rather it was in the LL stand because as someone who sits there week in week out pretty much everyone stands for Derby games, European games etc anyway so I think more people would be up for the idea of it, I'd also maybe throw in the idea of having The Green Brigade and Bhoys Celtic groups being situated in the centre of it next to each other like they are at hampden for cup games, I'm desperate for the atmosphere to be just that wee bit better at league games aswell, I'm not opposed to it being in the JS stand but I think the more realistic and smart option is to have it in the LL where a lot of the atmosphere already comes from

Old guy here one time went to all Celtic games way back and i feel they Should allow standing a whole end today as why not , as many fans prefer to stand and should allow them this , plus gives out more atmosphere to the games . i so recall standing only all time when went to games way back and it was a much better atmosphere than my only time seated at celtic park way back once in old stand ..So yes standing should be whole end of ground for Celtic fans within Celtic park . As for full standing ive been also inside Hampden park in the 1971/2 Scottish cup final with 106,000 plus fans inside stadium said to be attendance given , although were guaranteed more inside as them days many fans would jump over the turnstyles them days without paying is a much better atmosphere and in European nights always adds to the team when fans are stood and making more noise and should be 30,000 stood anyway from 60,000 stadium as this would aid to Celtic football team in Europe in any of their home games as make it as tough as possible i say for any away team in Celtic park , a cauldron it should be .. A club should showpiece its best attributes and standing would allow this at least a whole end i say ..In 70s was all stood apart from one stand seated only ..Jungle , Celtic end , rangers end all stood time for change Celtic fc.

I don't think it's possible to make the entire JS standing. It would have to be done in conjunction with Main Stand redevelopment and upping capacity to nearer 80K - there's no other way - and the Board recently put this idea on the back burner. But, they just closed the Waiting List at around 22K, so we have to expand at some point. However, we can start making incremental changes, extending the current standing section. It's good that the North Curve are coming out with these ideas, but we need the Club to come out and give us their ideas & thoughts. As long as we are communicating and exchanging ideas - that's the way forward. 🍀🙌

Just to add. It will take consultation with the wider fanbase. Perhaps some regular, multiple-choice questionaires for fans on the official site. We need the Club to be as ambitious. Things can change for the better over time - if we all communicate meaningfully.

I'm in 114 and on OF games and European nights everyone stands for the full 90. I prefer it. Hate the normal league games, as everyone sits. Always heard the celtic end is mince for atmosphere, and they always sit. So makes sense to try spice that side up. Would happily switch from 114 to the new standing section if introduced.

I'm a Hibs fan, and when I was at the home game against St Johnsone I stood for the whole game as did many in my section. I'm a big fan of safe standing personally. Can be a good way to increase capacity in grounds like ibrox and celtic park where they could probably sell more tickets than the actual current capacity. Love proper old school terracing like they have at ochilview Park where I was a few weeks ago for queens park v ayr united. The ayr fans were class and made good atmosphere all huddled together in the auld terraced stand.

Unlikely to happen in the JS stand where they propose it will go, Celtic use that area for lots of hospitality inc No7 lounge and Kerrydale Suite. Can’t have them sat at the back seeing nothing due to those standing and the constant flags blocking their view during the game.

It’s way overdue now for Celtic to build up the main stand and increase the overall capacity of Celtic Park, it’s an investment that will pay for itself in time, an extra 10,000 seats at an average six hundred pounds I think would be snapped up and would generate a six million pound increase annually excluding the extra spend on food & refreshments on match days & the extra sales for cup competitions. I realise that development of the main stand wouldn’t be cheap but once it’s done it pays back forever 🍀

Hoping if this goes ahead people will bring atmosphere and singing like Bhoys and Green Brigade as it will probably be younger and Middle Ages dads and maybe teenagers wanting to get tickets for the this standing section as they try to get into the safe standing section now but even if it’s just standing and singing that’s fine but I’d like to see drums

Ryan I'm all for the standing section but playing devil's advocate what if I'm an older supporter and don't want to give up my seat as I've sat there for 40 years and have a great view could I be guaranteed a seat with a similar view or would I have to take whatever seat I'm given. I loved my days in the jungle and I think that our younger supporters deserve that option if it could be available but people pissing on the back of your leg wasn't nice either. It's going to involve a hell of a lot of talking to get this over the line and every view will be as relevant as everyone else's. It's not impossible but it could take years yet to come to fruition, I'm pushing 60 now so I need a seat as I've got osteoarthritis and underlying health issues but for the younger supporters and those in good health I think it'll give them a different and much improved matchday experience. If we could swing it and get the whole Celtic end as standing it'll make it an even more unbelievable and intimidating atmosphere than it is at the moment, imagine the rendition of Walk On to that backdrop, it's immense just now but that would take the noise up another level and I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about it. There's no easy answer to this but our support usually know when something's good for the progression of the club.

Yes. Of course there will be difficulties in getting it done but that doesn't mean we should just give up. Very doable and would help revive our atmosphere a bit. In all domestic games bar Rangers and Hampden it's pretty much just the GB and the Bhoys singing. I think some of our normal supporters feel a bit adrift from the ultras and so don't find it as easy to join in the singing through out the game. If we had a larger support in the standing section I think a lot more people would join in.

I’m my personal opinion, I don’t submit to the fact that all fans need to be singing for 90+ minutes. Some go to watch the football and enjoy while sitting. Having said that having a standing section even if it’s only a half a stand would be better than what we’ve got just now.

We were never asked our opinion when seating was introduced. Atmosphere was far better when everyone stood. Why not have all lower stands turned into standing areas.

100% think this is a great idea. Celtic should ask fans in that area who don't want standing and check with those in other area of the ground who do and see what can be reached for each person. I am sure they would have there pick of near anywhere else in the ground 😂

Not too keen. Daughter and I sit Section 138 Celtic end. Great seats .Great friends around us. Personally o can't stand for 90 minutes. Where do we get moved too. Not moving to Upper tier. Don't want to sit next to away fans especially Huns. Why not upgrade main stand

Well arryn great celtic spelling of the name lol if it would change the atmosphere and we already have the best in the world real madrid experianced it and you seen there super stars go wow ..bring it on ...but many of our hospitality in that stand go to business partners and they pay like the price of a season ticket for ames like rangers champions league games for that experiance we are talking 12 hundred pounds for two tickets and the full hospitality experience i have has the joy of experience it once and it was a amazing day all the lounges like that sell out bringing large money to the club week in week out ..personally id like the safe standing more and am all for it but i doubt the club will go for it hail hail bhoys and ghirls

Standing at the football has always been part of the experience. Much prefer standing and creating an atmosphere. It's a no brainer to create a larger standing section. It's safer, no falling over seats and people afters goals, give people who want to stand and support the team the opportunity to do it. People who prefer to sit still have 75% of the rest of the stadium to do it

I stood in the jungle for years , it was brilliant, rough, rugged, atmospheric, more animated, looking back it seemed way better than sitting , I don’t live in Scotland anymore and I just can’t imagine fans sitting down and generating a full on atmosphere 🍀

Like Ryan I'm for it but doubt it will happen in this form proposed. The clubs main hospitality income is generated through that end and sadly that's most clubs main focus these days, clubs like AC Milan and Roma are giving up their traditional stadiums to go to smaller stadiums but crucially with more hospitality capacity, that's sadly the way the game is going
