"I will bless those who bless you (Israel) and curse those who curse you." That seems to sum it up, not that Israel always does the right thing, because they don't (for one big thing most don't yet accept Jesus as the Messiah, but they will someday). But God disciplines them for that. I believe as a Christian I am to support them against those who want them obliterated from the earth, and I do. I have no idea where we are on the timeline of the end times, though. That's a different aspect of the topic.

I think a lot about the very issue your post talks about. Instead of being for Israel, too many people are blindly following pastors of churches that believe in “replacement theology”. In the eyes of these churches, they believe the church is now fulfilling the things that only the nation of Israel can fulfill. They are deceived. I believe this is known as the Preterist view of scripture. They also teach the rapture “theory” was started by John Nelson Darby. This is not true as many of the church fathers believed in the rapture.

The reason why they're like because they read but they don't go deep into the Word of God. Most Christians they go to church but when you asked them if they received JESUS to become their Lord and Savior? As a Christian who lives in the US, I read many social media posts from Christians who have a hard time supporting Israel because of the things the IDF does in war. For me, I go to Numbers 22-24 and read God's prophecy for Israel through the mouth of Balaam. It is a beautiful prophecy and God shows His heart for Israel through that prophecy. Basically it boils down to this: I stand with God, and He stands with Israel...end of story.

I think your missing a few chapters in that story bro. Yes God stands with Israel,but God never agreed with every thing Israel did which is why the nation was punished many times. I find it strange that Christians just take one bible verse and base an entire thought process on that. God never gave Israel a black check to just do whatever they felt like doing and he was going to support it no matter what.. I pray for Israel often,but that does not automatically mean I have to be down with any thing the government does or behave as if they are above criticism.

@@captainmartin1219But you’re missing the Biblical promises of Israel as a whole friend. Yes, God has and will hold Israel accountable for her rebellion but recall also how God punishes those who come against her. Babylon, for example, while used for a rod of punishment, on her own head was punished as well. God has used Israel to punish other nations as she is His CHOSEN. The ultimate end game is that we will have a New Jerusalem, New Heaven and New Earth and finally God’s people, Jew and Gentile will be totally complete with Him. We are in an intensely important prophetic timeline right now, with Gog and Magog right over the horizon. Remember God’s unconditional promises for His nation and that it is our duty as followers and Yeshua to make them “jealous” - it’s all extremely clear in chapters such as Romans 11. In the end, they will see the One they pierced and every knee will bow and every tongue confess. But be rest assured, NO ONE replaces the chosen people of God. And Christians need to be assertive in that. The current conflict is totally spiritual, and the evil one is at large against God’s people. I would definitely recommend for you to check out Amir’s channel, he explains the Jewish context of the Bible and the prophetic timeline. Just remember, Jesus was a Jew and He and His disciples always went to the Jews first. We have to stand with Israel, especially in these days.

He also warned them if they turned to idle worship and sin they would be driven out by their enemies but after a time he would bring them back to the land . What you call Israel today is a political project, not a biblical or spiritual entity. Netanyahu's father was Polish, named Nathan Mileikowsky. Many leaders of this man-made Israel changed their names to sound Jewish, and most of the population has no genetic link to the region; they primarily trace back to Eastern Europe. Additionally, many Israelis are South Africans who left in 1994, preferring to live in a place where apartheid still exists. Those who bless Israel are blessed and those who curse Israel are cursed and now more than ever we need to understand what is being fulfilled here with Israel. And, just so you know, Israel has every right to defend itself. Hamas and Hezbollah are terrorists, and worse than that, actors used of the evil one. Do you not recall how God punished other nations THROUGH Israel? How He evokes His wrath on nations that come against her? He is a God of justice, and be rest assured, He will protect His chosen people and uphold His promises for them. A Christian woman, part of a group came to Israel to support the IDF soldiers after October 7th with meals and such, met a soldier and He came to Christ, they fell in love and got married! So he was baptised too for she was led to come! Praise God! We need you more than you think! You surround us and through Your Love Prayers and actions on and towards us, this nation, the jews and Israelites we shall awake more, God's will. My family visited Israel in 2023 and had an absolutely wonderful time. We saw the sights and all but the most fun was to engage directly with the Israeli's about their faith, our faith, our mutual love of Scripture etc. I didn't save any souls but I think we prepped the runway.

It's hard to support Israel with all that they are doing. The disproportionate attack on Gaza and killing of women and children. Of course what happened on 7 October was horrific. I am not supporting either side. Now Israel are doing the same in Lebanon. It is very hard to deal with all that is going on and this is probably because as you say it is a spiritual battle and so hard to make sense of other than it is pointing to end times.

As American Christians let’s not forget we are the only nation to ever use nuclear weapons on civilian populations. (WWII) I understand why it was done but we are in no position to lecture Netanyahu. Another thing is why wasn’t Israel praised for the surgical precision of the pager attack by all the people critical of their war strategy? I saw video of hezbollah heads popping off while innocent civilians standing next to them in super markets completely unharmed. Israel is doing things we only see in James Bind movies to protect the innocent while defeating the terrorists, it’s really incredible. It also reveals the critics for what they really are… antisemites.

Disclaimer: I haven't watched yet, but will do so later. I mostly see Christians supporting Israel, even in military attacks on neighbors. Iran is typically seen as the biggest enemy, and it seems countries are counted as an entity, forgetting it is individual people. Military action is usually celebrated, with occasional prayers for all peoples, even in Iran/Gaza, etc. I have some massive issues with this attitude: 1. More support seems to be given to people that predominantly reject God, in Christ,(Israel) rather than Christ's true church. 2. What of Christian missionaries and born again believers in the "enemy" countries. I challenged a good friend of mine on his support for Israeli military action, killing believers. He couldn't answer if supporting Christian work was more important than supporting Israel. 3. In Iran specifically, the greatest move of God in the world is currently taking place, with mass Muslim conversions. Would you truly want these people suffering under the military attacks that are probably just around the corner? If the bombing meant ending this move of God, would you still support it? And why would God pour out His Spirit on people that the church and Israel calls an enemy? I am not naive, nor rejecting this possible end times perspective. But like the Jewish people that were expecting the messiah in Jesus's day, the attitude of 90% of the church is less born of the Spirit, and more of the flesh. Even if the eschatology is correct, or partly correct. But I'll watch the video. I generally enjoy Got Questions.
