Yes fasting is biblical and a powerful tool. I have fasted since coming back to the Lord. It increases my hunger for him as he alone satisfies. I love that I can do something to get more of him, it's also helped me to say know to my flesh and give me greater control over it.

The first time I fasted I did so two months after I was saved. During that time (7 days on a liquid fast) the Lord was so near to me (or I was near to Him!!) I was able to be FED by His word instead of food, friends or entertainment! God showed me during that time who I would marry- who God showed him one year later. We’ve been married nearly 13 years. Fasting correctly will always change YOU.

From my experience, there's no question there's many spiritual blessings that come from fasting. The last long fast I did led to a lifestyle change to daily intermittent fasting, which has a number of health benefits in and of itself; along with making spiritual fasting easier to accomplish.

I do believe that He has revealed more of Himself as I have denied myself through fasting. Fasting is hard though! Currently ending a fast in a little less than 4 hours 😝

This may be long and drawn out so I apologize in advance!! I'm so happy that God brought me to your channel. In such a serendipitous way too, which was awesome In December I went through a pretty devastating breakup from someone who isn't a Christian. We were together almost seven years. It's such a long story and I wish I could explain everything but I won't. We still talk and I know we love each other so much still, but I've decided I can't be with a guy who hasn't accepted the Lord. He also needs a major heart change in many ways. I am in so much pain daily being away from him and I pray for him multiple times a day, and DO trust God is working in him as he has spoken to me about it many times. But, that being said it is still extremely difficult to stop talking to him all together. Funny enough I decided several days ago to fast from him for two days, and then this video was posted on the day I began my fast. It made me feel like God is happy with that decision. I know that two days doesn't seem like a lot but maybe I can extend it with Gods help if it is what he wills. I know that God needs this time to work on my heart and his as well. Also, I began a prayer journal since watching your channel and love to just sit down and read/jot things down with you guys. Seriously, God bless your work I'm so thankful for you.

Wow Sarah! That is crazy, but a lot of times that is how the Lord confirms things to our hearts. I think fasting from your ex is a great idea. Sometimes ripping the bandaid off like that and cutting things off hurts worse on the front end but that means air can get to the would faster and bring the healing process. A similar thing happened to me when I got saved and the more time that went by, the less I interacted with Him, and the more I gave myself to Jesus, eventually I was completely over it. So give yourself time and know that when you make those little decisions for the Lord, it moves His heart every time! Bless you!

Hi Ronnie and Mel. I have said so much how I love you guys in previous videos and I don't think there's ever enough "I love you" messages to receive. So even with this comment I still say I love you guys so much. Your channel has inspired me immensely. You guys are literally doing ministry and not letting us have too much say into your personal relationship. I ask that you guys continue to do this as long as you God and are still in the same page about it. I watch other Christian KZbinrs. You are right fasting and prayer do and should go together. Its not just restricting food. While a diet changes the way you look. Fasting changes the way you see. See things. Its not about impressing God or getting yourself noticed its connecting with him at a more deeper and intamate level. I find people should fast because as the physical is weakend the spirit is strengthened therefore, positioning us to better hear more clearly what he is saying on a certain area in our lives..

Hello. Thanks for writing us. If you look at that passage, Paul is actually not referring to “hats” he is referring to hair, meaning men should not have long hair and therefore have their head covered and women should not shave their head and thus have their head uncovered. The priests all throughout the Old Testament actually we’re commanded to wear a “hat” both when they came into the presence of God and when they addressed the people. So clearly Paul is not referring to head coverings in the way some people use it today. Because then God got it wrong by making the priests “cover their head”. Doesn't she know her fake eyelashes are a sin.. God commands for a man not to fall for a woman who bats her eyelashes so pulling attention to her eyelashes with fake eyelashes which is symbolism of Jezebel.. So if you're gonna preach take off your symbolism of blasphemy all over your face.. Plus, there is a difference in God asking verse commanding. He didn't command us to fast. He asks us if we want to and then says if you do fast make sure you follow the commands of fasting, washing your face, not telling anyone, etc, etc.. I've been watching them for a little while now and I hope that they are doing this out of good intentions for the Lord but you have to have so much understanding to become an annotated one of God.. Be careful you to not to become false prophets of the Lord, you two, if you have the rights from God to do this..
