Brett Pitman II Matthew 12:1-12 But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him; How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests? Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless? But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day. At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat. But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple. But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless. For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day. And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him. And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out? How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days. Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other. Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him.

Shelly Blanchard If the sabbath was never for Gentiles, then Gentiles haven't been brought under the promise of Abraham and we are not his seed. In the old testament, Israel was God choosen people because it was the line of Abraham, the father of righteousness by faith and the covenant. It was literal Israel and the world. Under Christ, there is no wall of separation but all of us are spiritual Israel. It is now spiritual Israel and the world. The sabbath is God seal and the sign of his sanctification. To deny the sabbath, is to deny God as creator of heaven and earth and to deny that is the creator God which sanctify you and have brought you from the world into his marvelous light. Satan is redoubling his efforts to void the sabbath so that christians will be lost when the mark of the beast comes. The mark of the beast pivots on the sabbath day of worship, sunday by the beast or God's true sabbath day that is sanctified and holy and hallowed by Him.

God's commandments to keep the Sabbath specifically for the Israelites and not the Chinese or Japanese. Why even the sabbath law was not repeated in the NT whereas the other 9 moral laws were repeated. The reason being the Sabbath is a ceremonial law and it has been done away by the Lord of the Sabbath. Thank you

@@masonmcgahey4713 i observe the sabbath because that is the first feast of Yahuah and Jesus kept the Sabbath . One thing bear in mind; when you hear Jesus saying ¶Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, 2Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat: 3All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not. 4For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. The law was never described as heavy burden see psalms 119 just 1 example. Than we read this ¶Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying, 2Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread. 3¶But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? 4For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death. 5But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; 6And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition Jesus distinguished the commandments of God from the commandments and traditions of Pharisees . Do a study who were the Pharisees and what are their tradition. They have a so called oral law what they respect more than the Torah. The question 'sabbath or sunday' is really a false dichotomy. Christians aren't under the law with it's types, shadows and customs. The sabbath day is part of this. Anyone who is familiar with the early church and the churchfathers knows we are to live trough the Holy Spirit, who will confirm the MORAL law. This law is everlasting because it reflects God's holy character. Also 'law keepers' should be consistent, because the law includes more then just the famous 10 commandments, it is the Torah; all 5 books of Moses. The work of Christ trough the Spirit fulfills the requirements of the whole law. (Rom. 8:4) The first day of the week became special for the early church as this is the day Christ fulfilled being the firstfruit at the resurrection. This is preshadowed in the law as the priest's barley sheaf offering (omer), offered every 1st day of the week after the week of passover/Pesach. This is also when the omer count (50 days) begins till when the harvest was being brought in at pentecost/Shavuot; the birth(day) of the NT church! again, 1st day of week. This makes sunday a day of spiritual renewal and significance, but don't mistake it to be a sabbath. Only trough faith in the Saviour-King we enter a true Godly rest, that wil be completed in the everlasting Kingdom. (Hebr. 4). People forget Jesus was born as a Jew under the law (including circumcision), and He was the only one that fulfilled the requirements perfectly, doing away the handwriting of ordinances that testyfied against us sinners by giving His life on our behalf. Sabbath day keeping is a modern phenomenon, wich primarily comes from the 19th century adventist movement. (From where aso most famous bible-cults came) Don't be decieved! Keeping certain mosaic laws can give u a false feeling of being righteous before God, while u are really trusting in your own obedience and this way building on sand in stead of on the Rock!

Were not saying we are saved by keeping the sabbath law but we keep the law because we are saved. Jesus said if you love me keep my commandments. "Jesus has not come to detroy the law and the prophets." There are misunderstood verses about when the apostles met, take note there are times the met daily to one accord to break bread. This is in no way transfer the solemnity of the sabbath to sunday but just shows we can pray and gather daily but may still work in the fields. So many are deceived "To the law and testimony of they speak not according to this word it because there is no light in them"

I prayed about it, as it is said that no part of the Law will be removed and it appeared in my mind by the Holy Spirit. Jesus is Lord over the Sabbath, BUT! He died (for us) paying our debt. Wages of breaking the Law is death and when you are dead, you have paid for your sins and Christ for ours, as you might remember, thus you are dead for the law!! Free, from the law and just as Christ is literally reborn, we are born again and NOT under the law anymore!!! Why don’t Christians get it? Paul had to put his foot down that the converted Jews did not force gentile Christians to be circumcised, which means go back under the Israelitic Laws given to Moses for the Isaelites, starting with the 10 commandments. That’s why that you are FREE to keep the Sabbath, eating clean meats, tithing or whatever, but UNDERSTAND, the meaning of free from the LAW of DEATH, the NT keeps explaining it (Gal. 4 and 5) but people don’t read it!!

Khaleil Rennes That’s not what that scripture is implying. Paul was talking to hellenised Israelites that were dispersed amongst HEATHENS (Ezekiel 20:23), who didn’t keep the Israelites customs as it was not given to them (Psalms 147:19-20 and Amos 3:1-2). He’s telling the Israelites to not let the HEATHENS “judge” them on KEEPING the holy days; not forsaking them.

I keep the Sabbath by choice. When my mother decided she wanted to keep the Sabbath, I was 17 and was not on board. I wasn't worried because I had planned to go away to college. When the option to go away for school was no longer on the table, I told myself I had to prove my mom wrong about this Sabbath. Now the reason I did not want to keep the Sabbath was due to the undesired restrictions. So at the age of 18-19, I went to the main library in Miami Dade County to do my research on the Sabbath. I didn't want to use the Bible or someone's interpretation, such as Seventh-day Adventists pastors or Sunday pastors. I realize now, not then, that it was the Holy Spirit leading me. I gathered as many books as I could on the history of Catholicism, the Encyclopedia of Brtinca, and other books. How did I know to pull these books only God? So the more I read, the more my mouth was open. I learned in those books that Sabbath is the seventh day that God rested; from their history books, the Roman empire admitted to changing the day of worship from Saturday Sabbath to Sunday- Sun worship. It is stated in their books it was done so that the people could look up to them as God. It was about being worshiped. Man created Sunday worship, and the Sabbath, the day of rest on the seventh day-Saturday, is God's and points to him as a creator. I'm glad God lead me to this without the influence of another man's teachings. I came to denounce the Sabbath; I left accepting it. What I love about God is that he does not use force... The Bible says if you love me, keep my commandments; it also states sin is the transgression of the law.... let each man and woman be convinced in his own mind. God is gracious, merciful, and long-suffering, not wanting any to perish. Just sharing... blessings

SDA's are NOT wrong about the Sabbath, they are wrong on other things like the communion quarterly, for they chose Saturday, instead of observing the (Lev.23:5, Matt.26:17,19) Passover on the 14th and they use grape juice instead of wine ("oinos"; see 1Cor.11:21,25-34, Matt.26:27-29) as they do it in their church instead of their (1Cor.11:22, Matt.26:18) home. Also don't you remember Jesus was called a "winebibber" by the Pharisees in Matt.11:19 and that 1Tim.5:23 says Paul told Timothy to drink a little wine for his stomachs sake. Anyway I'm going to ask you questions, for your mind to get back in place and give you sources of Ellen G. White on how she contradicts the Bible. Can I ask you some questions regarding the Bible? 🎈1. Protestants claim they go by the Bible only, but I wanted to ask on who you follow as an example; is it Jesus or is it Paul or is it the Apostles or is it all of them or it neither of them? ➡️1Pet.2:21 states "...because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow His steps." ➡️The Apostle Paul in 1Cor.11:1 states "Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ." ➡️Then it says that the household of God "...are built upon the foundation of the Apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone" in Eph.2:20. 🎈2. Now if protestants go by the Bible as they claim, then why are they NOT followers of Jesus, Paul, and the Apostles? ➡️Paul kept the 7th Day Sabbath as his custom in Acts 17:2, Acts 18:4, Acts 13:14,14,42-44. ➡️Paul said to keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread in 1Cor.5:6-8. ➡️The Apostles keep Pentecost in Acts 2:1-4. ➡️Jesus kept the 7th Day Sabbath as his custom in Luke 4:16, Mark 2:28. ➡️Jesus kept the Feast of Tabernacles in John 7:2,10,14. 🎈3. I know protestants try to overlook the 7th Day Sabbath as well as God's Festivals in Lev.23, but why do they push on pagan festivals (Christmas, Halloween, etc.) which honor other gods that Jesus, Paul and the Apostles didn't keep, which God condemns? 🎈4. Protestants claim also that Jesus was born December 25th, then tell me where in the Bible does it say Jesus was born December 25th, or in the winter and where it is commanded in scripture to keep Christmas, Halloween, New Year's, birthdays, etc.? 🎈5. It is clear from the Old Testament and New Testament that God's true people kept the Feast Days of Lev.23, but why are NOT protestants keeping them today when we see in the future that God's people will be keeping God's Sabbaths as well as the New Moons which begin the 1st day of each month on the Hebrew Calendar/Jewish Calendar (Isaiah 66:22-23, Zech.14:1,9,16-19)? (🎼Note: To keep the feasts, you have to know about them. These feasts are in God's Plan for mankind.) 🎈6. It is clear from Peter in 2Pet.2:21 that the way of righteousness is keeping God's Holy Commandment: the 7th Day Sabbath and to NOT do it would be SIN; wouldn't it be SIN according to 1John 3:4? 🎈7. The Presidential Seal has the name, title and territory (Joe Biden, President of the United States) of what one controls. In Rev.14:7, it states "...worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.", which points back to the 4th commandment in Exodus 20:8-11. God's Seal is found in Exodus 20:10-11 = "But the 7th day is the Sabbath of the LORD thy God...For in 6 days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is..." Now it says in Rev.7:2-8 says that God's Seal is protection in Rev.9:4 = "And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have NOT the seal of God in their foreheads." So my question is if we know the Sabbath is the Seal of God; then why would people do the opposite of God's Seal to have the MARK of disobedience (Mark of the Beast in Rev.13:18)? (🎼Note: The Catholic Church says: "Sunday is our MARK of authority...The Church is above the Bible, & the transference of sabbath observance is proof of that fact." = Catholic Record of London, Ontario, Sept.1, 1923. ) 🎈8. Since the Catholic Church is above the Bible, to be in control, to say different than what the Bible says to do, then why are protestant daughters following the pagan doctrines of the RCC or should I say their mother as Rev.17:5 describes it? ➡️Tomorrow's World Booklets you should consider in reading: "Which day is the Christian Sabbath?" "The Holy Days: God's Master Plan" "Satan's Counterfeit Christianity" "God's Church through the Ages" Regarding 1Tim.4:1-5. I was wondering if you know the opposites of the RCC, for I did NOT know if you knew Dan.8:12 = this is talking about the RCC casting God's Truth to the ground. Learning from 1Tim.4:1= it says "...some shall depart from the faith giving heed to seducing spirits, and 🌋doctrines of devils." What most people do NOT know is the faith in 1Tim.4:1 that Catholics and the SDA Church left is mentioned in Acts 20:28-30 as "the Church of God". ↗️Now from the following on: we know the RCC and the SDA Church would forbid marriage and command their members NOT to eat the clean meats in Lev.11 and Deut.14. 🚫The RCC forbids priests to marry, but Luke 1:5,13 says the priest Zacharias was married to Elizabeth. 🚫The RCC forbids eating lamb, deer, chicken, beef on Ash Wednesday, Good Friday & all Fridays during Lent. 🚫SDA Ellen G. White testimony of 1885 said, "In this age of the world, as the scenes of earth's history are soon to close and we are about to enter upon the time of trouble such as never was, the fewer the marriages contracted, the better for all, both men and women."--Ellen White, Testimonies, Vol.5, p.366. 🚫SDA say you can eat the clean meats of Lev.11 and Deut.14, but they try to make you vegans and/or vegetarians. In Testimonies (1872), Volume III, p.21, Ellen G. White said her visions gave her "positive testimony against ...flesh meats, butter, ...Further she stated that cheese should never enter the stomach, and that "eggs" should not be placed upon your table" (Testimonies, Volume II, p.68, 400). However the Bible contradicts Mrs White, for Jesus (the God of the Old Testament) ate a meal of bread, butter, milk and beef with Abraham in Gen.18:1-8. it was prophesied that Jesus would eat butter in Isaiah 7:14-15. God's people eat eggs (Job 6:6, Luke 11:11-13). David ate cheese in 2Samuel 17:29.

You are partially correct here. The Romans did in fact "change" sabbath to Sundays for their own reasons. However, they did not change the day of worship to Sunday. In the BIble, Christians worshipped and fellowshipped together on the first day of the week because that is when Christ rose from the dead. So this was established prior to the Roman empire getting their hands into Christianity. Christian Sunday worship (the Lord's Day) is technically different than OT Sabbath observations and different that Roman Sunday Sabbath. The three cannot be conflated or our understanding becomes a bit messy. The Roman empire certainly made a mess of things that's for sure lol.

Her priest have violated my laws and profane my holy things they have made no difference between the Holy and the profane and have his their eyes from my Sabbath and I'm profane among them. Only God can santify a day and call it holy. We can't pick a day and call it holy. We will keep the Sabbath in heaven as well. Jesus even said he is Lord(master) of the Sabbath. You said Jesus kept the Sabbath bacause he had not died yet. Consider this, "For I am the Lord I change not". The same things Jesus did before the cross is the same he would do after. Jesus cannot change, people tends to forget it was Jesus who gave the law to Moses on Mount Sinai. Jesus is all wrapped up in divinity he's not a man like me and you (sinful) no he knew no sin. Actually sin is transgression of the law so to not keep any is sin and that's not my words. It's not a debate about who's the smartest it's simply not about us. I'm a lover of truth, I won't be mad if someone correct me. It makes no sense holding on to our pride and miss the boat. Let us reason together the Lord said.

Through my walk with the Lord, I believe I have found the answer I sought regarding the topic of if we are to partake, if you will, in fulfillment of the 10 commandments as the Jews lived by as given unto them by God through Moses. --------- John 15:10 King James Version "10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love." Here separation is clear. Our Father(God) gave commandments before, in the beginning, and then Jesus gave more new commandments that came after the fulfillment of the old, of which he fulfilled. Jesus fulfilled, finished, the 600+ old testament laws including the 10 commandments. The new commandments appear to come from the 10 before, of course, but none of those say keep the Sabbath. Another way to view this is we abide under the love of our parents under their house (or did), as our parents once did under their parents (our grandparents). Following the rules set fort by them. We are not bound by the laws of our grandparents roof, but rather, our parents that we do reside in, or did at one point in time. As such, our children once adults have a house that they raise their children in. They raise their children according to their rules, not the ones we give them (our children, not grandchildren). The context in John 15:10, Jesus makes it clear that there are two sets of commandments that are kept for two different times. We currently reside under the house of grace through faith, new testament, as the house of the law, old testament, has been fulfilled by Jesus. --------- Even when someone asked Jesus, what shall he do to be saved, Jesus, the Lord of the Sabbath himself didn't tell the man to keep the Sabbath. Why is that? Definitely not because Jesus kept it. Jesus keeps the Sabbath because he is Lord of the Sabbath, he always is fulfilling the Lord's work this day as he abides in the Father's love, and being God's only begotten Son it is impossible for him to not keep the Sabbath. Matthew 19:16-26 KJV **(Particularly verse 16-19)** "16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? 17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. 18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, 19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? 21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. 22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions. 23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. 24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. 25 When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? 26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible." --------- Another verse that God clearly says to everyone, the sabbath is a sign between him and the children of Isreal. Children of Israel are not gentiles. By biblical context, Israelites (Jews) are not Christian, nor of course, did they exist in that time period. This was a covenant between God and the Jews only. Exodus 31:12-13 KJV "12 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 13 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the Lord that doth sanctify you." --------- As "gotquestions.org" puts it When Jesus said, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath” (Mark 2:27), Jesus was attesting to the fact that, just as the Sabbath day was originally instituted to give man rest from his labors, so did He come to provide us rest from laboring to achieve our own salvation by our works. Because of His sacrifice on the cross, we can now forever cease laboring to attain God’s favor and rest in His mercy and grace.

We are no longer commanded to keep the Sabbath as a weekly observance. We must simply keep our eyes fixed on Jesus in all things, and allow his rest to flow through us as we do HIS works. Colossians 2:12,16-17 NIV having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead. [16] Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. [17] These are a shadow of the things that were to come; *the reality, however, is found in Christ.* Hebrews 4:9-11 NIV There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; [10] for anyone who enters God's rest also rests from *their works,* just as God did from his. [11] Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter *that rest,* so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience. The Sabbath is mentioned hundreds of times in the bible, but This is the only two times that the Sabbath is mentioned in the epistles. Both times, it clearly speaks of there being a new Sabbath, and the old Sabbath being a shadow/pre-cursor. If we are still considering things like Sabbath and dietary guidelines as commands, then yes that is legalism. We are saved by the Spirit, not the Law. We have to follow Jesus by faith not by the letter.

Like any good theologian, he is supporting his view with Scripture. Nowhere in the New Testament are Christians commanded to keep a Sabbath day. Nowhere. Instead, God tells us that Christ is our Sabbath rest and that every day belongs to him if you are a Christian. "Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day- things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ." Colossians 2:16-17. Also, "One person regards one day above another, another regards every day alike. Each person must be fully convinced in his own mind. He who observes the day, observes it for the Lord, and he who eats, does so for the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who eats not, for the Lord he does not eat, and gives thanks to God." Romans 14:5-6 NASB1995. We are free in Christ, not under law like the Israelites. The Sabbath day was given only to the Israelites according to Scripture,

1) Early Christians worshiped on Sundays. In the Holy Bible, we read that the disciples of Jesus were plucking heads of grain and eating them on the Sabbath when such was forbidden under Jewish law. [Mt. 12:1-8; Mk. 2:24-26; Lk. 6:1-5] “Now that day was a Sabbath. So the Jews said to the man who had been cured, ‘It is the Sabbath; it is not lawful for you to carry your mat.’ But he answered them, ‘The man who made me well said to me, ‘Take up your matt and walk.’” [John 5:10-11] From the above passages, we see that Jesus did not set strict restrictions regarding the Sabbath. In fact, Jesus proclaimed Himself as the Lord of the Sabbath. “Then He (Jesus) said to them, ‘The Son of Man (Jesus) is lord of the Sabbath.” [Lk. 6:5] Therefore, it is up to Jesus to determine what can and what cannot be done on the Sabbath. Elsewhere in the Holy Bible, we read that Saint Paul informed the Colossians that they should not be disturbed by those who condemn them for observing the Sabbath. “Therefore do not let anyone condemn you in matters of food and drink, or of observing festivals, new moons, or Sabbaths.” [Colossians 2:16-17] Why did he inform the Colossians not to be disturbed because of their worship on Sundays? It is because from the early days of the Church, Christian worship took place on Sundays, not on Saturday. This was implemented to recognize who the Christians were. The Jewish people worshiped on the Sabbath in the Synagogues. The Christians worshiped on Sundays in their homes, in the catacombs, any place that was convenient and safe. 2) The Catholic Church possesses the Keys to the Kingdom of Heaven. Jesus said to Peter, “I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in Heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in Heaven.” [Matthew 16:19] Jesus gave Peter the authority to change the day of worship from Saturday to Sunday. And Peter, having been with Jesus during His ministry, and having seen the actions of Jesus on the Sabbath, did use that authority under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. 3) The Resurrection was on a Sunday. Jesus resurrected on the Sunday, not on the Saturday. Through the glorious Resurrection, Jesus elevated the Sunday as a day of importance, it having become “the Day of the Lord.” Jesus could have resurrected on the Saturday, but He chose the Sunday. Surely, this was a sign to the Apostles during the early days of the Church. And so the early day Christians met on Sunday to worship. “On the first day of the week, when we met to break bread, Paul was holding a discussion with them: since he intended to leave the next day...” [Acts 20:7] Did you know that the origin of the Church collection on Sunday is in the Holy Bible? “Now concerning the collection for the saints: you should follow the directions I gave to the churches of Galatia. On the first day of every week, each of you is to put aside and save whatever extra you earn, so that collections need not be taken when I come.” [1 Cor. 16:1-2] 4) Pentecost Sunday. The Holy Spirit chose to come to the Catholic Church on the Sunday. Therefore, those who worship on the Saturday, they do not recognize the tradition of the Church since its early days. They do not recognize Jesus’ gift to the Catholic Church of the Keys to the Kingdom of God. They do not consider the day of Jesus’ resurrection as an important day that should be remembered every week. Nor do they consider the Coming of the Holy Spirit to the Church on a Sunday as a worthy gift to be remembered every Sunday.

Therefore, God SHABATH (rested/stopped) from creation on the SABBATH (7th day) and SANCTIFY it (the 7th day) mentioned in Genesis 2... It was not commanded and implemented by God to Adam/Eve, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob... why?... because they all communicated/talked to God and God responded to them, even visited them in the form of a Human being, but most of the time God sent His ambassador/messengers (Angels) to them... SUNDAY is also the ONLY day, the Christians collected their contribution/donations for the Living Saints (Church)...see and read Acts Chapters 2 and 20... HEBREWS 7:12... Matt. 6:33... also says, "Seek ye FIRST the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, and all shall be given unto you." In the Mosaic Law... the Jews must start their FIRST DAY to WORK for 6 days and rest to worship God on the 7th Day (Saturday)... while... the Law of Christ... the Christians must start the FIRST DAY (Sunday) to Worship, Praise, and Thank God before they work for 6 days... that is a big/huge difference... For Jews/Israel... SUNDAY is their 1st Day of Work till Friday before sundown... For Christians ... SUNDAY early morning (Resurrection Day) is the 1st Day of Worship, Praise, and Thanksgiving to God before they start their work the following day, Monday ... Praise be to God in Christ Jesus... I totally agree with you that this guy do not know scriptures. As a false angel of light, he teaches the so-called irrelevance of keeping God's fourth commandment law. The very one that the Father emphasises to "REMEMBER" to keep. All Sunday worshippers who has no understanding of Paul's writings, uses the same vs over and over to avoid the keeping of God's 4th commandment. There is never a debate about the other 9 but always the Sabbath. WHY IS THAT? Is it because Satan knows that it's the key commandment to ALIGN yourself with God the Father? (Ez 20:20) The whole idea of the messiah's gospel, is to turn everyone from sin. So I asked the question. What has been put in place to declare ones sinful act? What law has been put in place that exposes you to be sinners? A: God's 10 laws. The criteria of Sin. (Which includes the keeping of the Sabbath day) "Whosoever committed sin transgressive also the law; for SIN is the transgression of the LAW." (1 John 3:4) When you REFUSE to obey any of His law, you have sinned against HIM. (committed a crime so to speak) punishable by death. (Ro 6:23) The Father has no respect of person. (Ro 2:11) Therefore, the Ten Commandments is for the Jews AND gentiles alike. ALL Sunday worshippers, under the influence of Satan, is always seeking to avoid the commands of God, The Catholic Church has deleted the third commandment to do with the worshiping of Idols and images. And as daughter churches of the Catholic, they also seek to abolish the fourth commandment. The keeping of the Lord's TRUE day of worship. (Ex 20:10) And He blessed AND Hallowed the 7th day. NOT the 1st. To be kept HOLY on to Him. (Ex 20:11) In any case, the Ten commandment is not there so one can pick and choose ones that suits them best. You break one, you break them all. Having Faith, given by the spirit of God, is the key for keeping ALL HIS laws and statutes.

Very interesting! I have a friend who became a Messianic Jew years ago & told me how important it was to observe the Sabbath. I took it to heart & decided he was right. I have rheumatoid arthritis (among other health issues) so the notion of actually resting one day a week really appealed to me. So yeah, I'm not Jewish, but I still like to observe the Sabbath. I feel that us modern folk are doing too much & staying way too busy. We could use a day to step back, relax & rest in Jesus.
@lightninlad3 жыл бұрын
The sabbath begins at sundown(Leviticus 23:32), yet we have to ask ourselves…how is one supposed to observe the sabbath when in the New Heavens and the New Earth there is no more night? (Revelation 22:5) “There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.” The answer is that you can’t. This means that the sabbath is over. Messianic Judaism is a satanic lie and anyone who practices it has not understood that we have a spiritual sabbath which has replaced the physical one: (1 Corinthians 15:46) “The spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and after that the spiritual.”

@@lightninlad oh wow. I forgot about that scripture. I'm merely "taking a day off working" to let my body rest. But in the new Heaven & new Earth, we will be perfect & there is no more need to observe the Sabbath. And yeah, that friend of mine needs lotsa prayers...and I'm on it.

The question is not whether or not there is a Sabbath, its are WE required to observe it and the BIBLICAL answer is NO. Paul makes it VERY CLEAR in Galatians 3, 4 and 5, in Romans and in Colossians and Corinthians. People are confusing in Acts the Jews who ALREADY kept Sabbath and the disciples seemingly keeping Sabbath because it was convenient to meet the Jews while they were already assembled, to teach them about Christ. BUT, The law was not limited to the 10 commandments, there were 613 laws if Im not mistaken. And the law was part of God's covenant with the children of Israel SPECIFICALLY. I'm not sure why so many people are trying to pretent to be the Israelites but that's very weird. Paul was clear in Galatians that the law was a guardian UNTIL Christ came to justify us through faith and freed them from the law. He early calls the law a curse, so why are so many confused? If you keep scripture in context and stop trying to apply things to us that was clearly only given to the Israelites, it would be no confusion. Just like tithing. Tithing was only for the Israelites who were delivered out of bondage and lived in Canaan, yet false churches teach we are to tithe. The Bible never instructs us to tithe. We are to give freely as our heats will to other brethren in need, the poor, widows, orphans and strangers visiting. Never does it say give 10% of what you make to a an made temple or synagogue.

Exactly Shait ! There will be no command to remain idle for one day of rest, to him who perpetually keeps sabbath, that is to say, who in the temple of God, which is man’s body, does service to God, and in every hour works righteousness. For I desire mercy, He says, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings. But the wicked that sacrifices to me a calf is as if he should kill a dog; and that offers fine flour, as though [he offered] swine’s blood. (Irenaeus, “On the Apostolic Preaching” (circa AD 180) verses 233 -235). Numerous Christian scholars agree Paul abolished Sabbath in Colossians 2:16-17 : Tertullian (AD 160-240), St. Irenaeus (AD 130-202), St. Maximos the confessor (AD 580-662), Martin Luther (AD 1483-1546), John Calvin (AD 1509-1564), Bart D. Ehrman , Paul K. Jewett, C.S. Mosna, J. Danielou, and W. Robertson Nicholl. Col. 2:16-17: Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of a holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

The only one of the 10 commandments that God said we should remember is the one people are saying we should forget.
@1234poppycat3 жыл бұрын

Here Christ is affirming the utter inerrancy and absolute authority of the OT as the Word of God-down to the smallest stroke or letter. This suggests that the NT should not be seen as supplanting and abrogat- ing the OT, but as fulfilling and explicating it. For example, all the ceremonial requirements of the Mosaic law were fulfilled in Christ and are no longer to be observed by Christians (Col 2:16, 17). Yet not the smallest letter or stroke is thereby erased; the underlying truths of those Scriptures remain--and in fact the mysteries behind them are now revealed in the brighter light of the gospel. The phrase "smallest letter" refers to the smallest Heb. letter, the yohd, which is a mea- ger stroke of the pen, like an accent mark or an apostrophe. The "stroke" is a tiny extension on a Heb. letter, like the serif in mod- ern typefaces.

@@generalleigh7387 The sabbath is a part of the Mosaic or Old covenant and was declared obsolete as prophesied in Jer31-32 and fulfilled in Heb8:13; Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: Heb 8:13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away. NOTE in JER31 God made a new covenant and God stressed it is not going to be like the Mosaic or old covenant he made with their fathers when He took them out of Egypt. Undeniably, the Sabbath is a part of the Mosaic or Old covenant thus now the Sabbath is done away with. In the NT Heb8:13 is the fulfillment. God established the sabbath day and blessed the sabbath day before he even created man. Keeping the sabbath day is in the the ten commandments. Nowhere in the bible does God say don't keep the sabbath. But he does say the sabbath shall be kept forever as a perpetual covenant, Exodus 31:16-17. The sabbath will be kept in God's coming kingdom by all people not just Jews, Isaiah 56:1-7, Isaiah 66:23. Jesus kept the Sabbath, Luke 4:16. Paul kept the Sabbath, Act 13:14-16 Acts 13:42-44 and this was after Jesus death.

Your first point is already erroneous. The apostle Paul explicitly says that we uphold the Law (Romans 3:31). Why? Because it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous in the eyes of God but the doers of the law (Romans 2:13). Anyone who preach a gospel other than that of the apostles, let them be accursed (Gal. 1:8). Jesus explicitly says: the law is binding (Matt. 5:17-20; Luke 16:17). Are Christians suppose to observe the sabbath? YES...

The Laws of the Mosaic Covenant are fulfilled in Christ - The Law and the Sabbath were pointing to Christ, it was a shadow of what was to come, and not the substance (Colossians 2:16-17). Jesus said that He came not to abolish the law but to fulfill the law (Matthew 5:17). In fulfilling the law, He completed the law. How did He do this? Jesus fulfilled the Law by obeying the law perfectly and by completing the sacrificial system. Jesus saves to the uttermost! In what way can we offer one more sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins? Jesus pronouncement, “It is finished,” signified the completion and fulfillment of the law.
@kac04042 жыл бұрын
The Sabbath is not a law instituted at creation but under the Mosaic Covenant - Some say that the Sabbath is a command of God given in Genesis. To interpret Genesis 2:1-3 as a law given to humanity is in error. Though sin abounded, God gave no law until Moses. Paul states in Romans 5:13-14 that there was no law given from the time of Adam until the time of Moses. Furthermore, from Adam to Moses, there is no record in Scriptures of anyone keeping the Sabbath (especially during the period of Egyptian slavery captivity). In Genesis 2, it is called the seventh day and not the Sabbath. It is a description of what God did, not what God requires of man. To interpret Genesis 2:1-3 as a law also requires to create light on Sundays and animals on Friday. From the plain reading of the text, there is no reason to conclude that God intends to view every seventh day to be holy. Rather, it is quite possible to interpret that God declares that particular day, the actual seventh day, as holy. Interpretations which add (such as saying that God rested on the seventh day to establish the Sabbath) an underlying reason why God declares the day holy, is adding to the text.

Why bash each other and separate us and divide us ? Do we not praise Jesus and fear our God and love Him ? Do we not live for the purpose to do His will that is meant for us ? Do we not long for Him ? Then instead I encourage you if you are true believers and not just sayers than Pray and let us not walk as the hypocrites who throw the first stone just because of a mistake. Saying that the Sabbath commandment is optional is like saying do no kill is optional. The ten commandments is the standard upon which we all will be judged. The days in Romans are days about religious feasts. Jews misunderstood scripture, ended up rejecting Jesus, now the majority of Christians are making the same mistake, breaking the law by not keeping the Sabbath it keeping the Sabbath on the wrong day (fist day instead of seventh). Sunday worship is instituted by the Catholic church. Jesus kept the Sabbath during his death, and the Sabbath will be kept in heaven. Read Isaiah 66:22,23. There will be no sin in heaven, sin is breaking the law, the Sabbath is part of the law, therefore keeping the Sabbath will be part of fulfilling the law in heaven where there is no sin.

First, when Jesus said He came "to fulfill the Law," was He talking about the "moral law," the "ceremonial law," or all the Law? Those who contend that He came just to fulfill the "ceremonial law" have a problem with the context, for the next verses talk about murder, anger, lust, adultery, divorce, telling the truth, resisting evil and loving your enemies (Matthew 5:21-48). Jesus also said that He came to "fulfill the Prophets." Was He referring to just some of the Prophets, or all of them? John said, "For the law was given through Moses" (John 1:17), and Paul said that the law given "four hundred and thirty years" after the promise was intended to last "till the seed should come" (Galatians 3:17,19). Did God mean to say that just the ceremonial law was given "till the seed should come"? Jesus said, "Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets" (Matthew 7:12). Does this sum up the whole Old Testament revelation on man's duty to his fellow man, or must we determine which part Jesus had in mind? Later, Jesus gave the two greatest commandments and said, "On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets" (Matthew 22:40). Did He mean to say "some of the Law and a few of the Prophets"? Whatever Jesus affirmed about the Law, He also affirmed about the Prophets in Matthew 5. If He meant that He would perpetuate the Law, it must also mean that He would perpetuate the Prophets. What does that do to the Hebrew writer's statement that God "spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets" but "has in these last days spoken to us by His Son"? (Hebrews 1:1-2).

The book of Revelation is always overlooked but so important because it instructs us on how to get to heaven. It clearly says in Revelation 12:17 and 14:12 to keep his ten commandments, and have faith in Jesus . I strongly urge people to read the entire chapter of Colossians 2. Paul is telling the newly formed Christian church to not allow the orthodox Jews such as, the Pharisees telling them they can't do/ eat this or that when they observe the Sabbath or the new moon ( used to observe God's feasts and festivals). Therefore, we are not bound by the strict laws regarding the Sabbath/ new moon. But, we are to follow the basic principles of the Sabbath. Which, you will see isn't as deep as some want to imply. On His holy day, we are to spiritually/physically rest from the ways of this world. That is it. Many people who observe God's holy day (many are not SDA'S, including me- just study the word) congregate with fellow worshippers, volunteer, visit the sick/lonely; anything holy in God's eyes. Also, the verses regarding not judging how a person worships God is not in reference to the Sabbath. Here is a scenario: In a day, one person may pray three times and read the Bible for two hours. Whereas, another person may do less than that in a day. Paul is saying don't judge them, because we don't know what is in his heart. Please, read the entire context when someone cites a scripture; to get the entire message. Sidenote: Paul and Barnabas (Acts 18), ministered to the Jews and Gentiles in the synagogues every Sabbath (many years after Christ's) death. If Sabbath was no longer required, why is it not mentioned in the scriptures? Why is it reiterated (by Jesus himself) to follow GOD'S commandments if we want to enter the kingdom of heaven. That would mean we are to follow the fourth commandment. Which, by the way, does not include legalistic rules (sacrifices, can't pick up a stick, etc); that were established much later on because they constantly disobeyed God. Thank God Jesus died for our sins so we are not bound by such laws.

Stan DaMan Aparently, if Revelation is written as a new testament prophetic book for the time of the end, then if it is only for the literal Jews, then the gospel is only only for the Jews. A matter a fact, the entire bible is just for the Jews and all Gentiles are lost so Christ died in vain and the new covenant is of nun effect to us Gentiles. So Christ is coming for his people, who is called Israel, but it is a spiritual Israel of all tongues and people, it is not made up of just literal Jews. There is no distinction of persons in Christ for we are all 'spiritual Jews' brought under the new covenant and heir to the promise of Abraham. If God's people will be raptured before the events in Revelation, then who are they which refuse the mark of the beast during that crisis? Furthermore, Paul in 1 Thessalonians 4:16 says when the Lord returns, the dead in him rises first and Christ coming is after the events of Revelation. So if God's people are raptured before, then who is he coming to rapture at the end?

God made a covenant with Israel and thats who those laws were for. But Christ fulfilled that law in His death and made a NEW covenant with both Israel and with gentiles. If you study Galatians chapters 3, 4 and 5 you'll see that Paul was scolding the new believers for not truly accepting Christ and still keeping themselves bound to the old law/covenant because they were still keeps days, months, new moons etc. Tithing is also one of those things that was only for the Israelites who were delivered out of bandage, NOT EVEFYBODY.

God says to REMEMBER THE SABBATH AND KEEP IT HOLY. There's a reason why he told us to remember it. Rome's Catholicism made the decision to change it. If you feel comfortable with romes catholicism then go right ahead. Rome gave you christ-mass,and ishtar(easter). So if you feel comfortable observing these putrid, vile pagan days,go right ahead. Paul is referring to those who keep the Sabbath and other jewish days not to let anyone to judge them for doing it. Christ himself said "think not that I come to abolish the law,I do not come to abolish the law but to fulfill(finish) the law. Therefore anyone who keeps it and teaches others to do so will be called great in the kingdom. Whosoever does not keep it ,and teaches others to do so will be called the least in the kingdom. First for the jew, THEN THE GENTILE. No where does it say the laws are not for gentiles. The law is good for making men wise unto salvation. Since we're under a new covenant, I guess child sacrifice is ok now? Or how about sleeping with your wife's neighbor? Is it ok to eat pork and shellfish too? Maybe murder was nailed to the cross as well. And sleeping with beasts of the field, yep Christ nailed that one to the cross too. Wrong wrong wrong. This is the problem with western churchianity. Christ's death was a sacrifice, not a get out if jail free card to sin. He was a Jew! He kept the Torah! He kept all the feasts of the LORD. Not the pagan gentile feasts. I tell you, I recently watched From Babylon to America, and it left me really thinking about the Sabbath. I don’t have an answer. The only thing I’ve come to realize is you can use scripture to justify nearly anything... especially if you partially quote scripture, or cherry pick and string together enough verses. I love God with all my heart, but I have to admit as I get older organize religion doctrine and tradition become more unsavory to me. I’m trying my best not to be prideful regarding what I THINK I know, and open to other opinions and interpretations of the Gospel so I may grow. Much of what I’ve read in these comments are littered with pride. I think many of us would rather be right. I really only want to be right with God, and I genuinely struggle because of doctrines and traditions that have changed and been handed down continuously for 2000 years. I grew up Easter egg hunting and had a blast doing it and now I wouldnt dare allow my children to do it... breaking tradition and doctrine is very difficult. If you were raised 7th Day Adventist, it would probably be difficult for me to get you to join a Baptist Church and vice versa... maybe it’s your pride, conviction, or simply your family tradition. All this to say, I hope we’re all right, and ultimately stand on the right side with God.

Tim Russell, Can I ask you some questions regarding the Bible? ➡️Tomorrow's World Booklets you should consider in reading: "Which day is the Christian Sabbath?" "The Holy Days: God's Master Plan" "Satan's Counterfeit Christianity" "God's Church through the Ages" 🥁I know many do NOT know the good and evil from Heb.5:14, if they did, then they would know certain things. Anyway most do NOT know that the world has followed the corrupt system of the RCC, so let me explain. Jehovah Witnesses carries the pagan doctrine "of angels mating with humans", that is from the RCC. Messianic Jews carry the pagan doctrine "trinity" of the RCC. SDA's carry many pagan doctrines of the RCC: birthdays, trinity, Christ's Death Friday and resurrection Sunday, pagan "born again", birthdays, believe Elijah went to heaven, says God's Feasts are "done away with" as has false doctrines of their own like other churches that carry the RCC pagan doctrines. Church of God International believes in birthdays. As we had talked about the SDA previously, even thou it has some truth like the 7th Day Sabbath, Health Laws, Death being a sleep, it is still false according to Matt.7:18. Regarding 1Tim.4:1-5. 🌋SDA's are NOT wrong about the Sabbath, they are wrong on other things like the communion quarterly, for they chose Saturday, instead of observing the (Lev.23:5, Matt.26:17,19) Passover on the 14th and they use grape juice instead of wine ("oinos"; see 1Cor.11:21,25-34, Matt.26:27-29) as they do it in their church instead of their (1Cor.11:22, Matt.26:18) home. Also don't you remember Jesus was called a "winebibber" by the Pharisees in Matt.11:19 and that 1Tim.5:23 says Paul told Timothy to drink a little wine for his stomachs sake. Also it states "The Feast of Unleavened Bread" is part of God's Law in Exodus 13: 4,6-10, of which SDA's don't keep as well as Catholics and Protestants.

As far as I understand, the early Church still kept the Sabbath until the council of Laodessia in 365 AD when the Catholics changed it from Saturday to Sunday through an antisemitic motive. Google it. Paul still observed the law. He sacrificed at the temple to prove he was still Torah observant before he was arrested.

Constantine (325 AD) DID NOT change the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday as Sabbath keepers falsely teach. Christians never kept the Sabbath from the apostolic age (33 AD) through the time of Constantine (325AD). Constantine merely made the first "Sunday closure law", since it had already been the day Christians worship for 300 years!

@@kac0404 With reference to the early church never observing the Sabbath I would appreciate some references please so I can look for myself. I'm always open to being wrong and learning something new. But even if this is the case, (which I'm sure it isn't ) do you think Paul and the apostles would have gone against Christ's teaching? Paul did say himself in Acts 25:8 that he had committed no offence against the law. And Breaking the Sabbath did carry the death sentence.
@kac04042 жыл бұрын
@@smulick1 The Sabbath Law is not changed from Saturday to Sunday - The tradition of the Christian church is to meet together on Sunday, the first day of the week. Some interpret this day of meeting as the day in which the Sabbath, the seventh day of the week, was changed to be fulfilled on the first day of the week (hence the term, Christian Sabbath). In support of this view, three Scripture references are given to show that Sunday is now the Sabbath day for Christians (Acts 20:7, 1 Corinthians 16:2, Revelation 1:10). However, within the context of these passages, there is no reference to the Sabbath nor is there any element of the Sabbath law. It is certainly possible to construe from these passages that indeed the New Testament church carries on the tradition of gathering together for fellowship, breaking of bread, teaching, and worship, However, it is not possible to interpret from these passages that the New Testament church gathers on Sunday to fulfill the Sabbath law. Any interpretation of this as being a Sabbath for the New Testament church requires a large amount of eisegesis. Scripture is absent of any direction or commandment is given by God that advocates the changing of the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday. If indeed we are to fulfill the Sabbath law of the Decalogue today, as some would suggest, it takes a lot of gall and outright rebellion to change what God called holy, the seventh day, to the first day of the week without having distinct direction from God. After all, what were the Apostles thinking to blatantly omit any instructions of the Sabbath observance? Unless, of course, they believed the Mosaic Covenant and the Sabbath obvservance to be obsolete.

Was Paul a Sabbath keeper? No! He was not, for the Scripture says he preached Christ who came and was “born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons” (Galatians 4:4-5). Folks, let the Scripture speak for itself. It has said Paul was not a Sabbath keeper and served the Lord under the New Testament. Regarding the Old Testament Paul said, “For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope” (Romans 15:4).

How is that when there comes along a new agreement everything is not done away with in the old one. One thing if you a have new agreement and the old one didn't work they would be contrary to one another. God even said in Amos 5 that he hates burnt offerings he wouldn't even smell them , he would ignore them. So you can't add to an old covenant with the new covenant, it won't work. He died to old covenant and brought forth New one. We still have the morals of the law, but he had to die to it first. That is how he wrote up the new agreement.

This was before Jesus died , he was talking to Israel about escaping when Jerusalem was going to attacked He wasn't talking keeping the Sabbath day. Pray means to ask or in this case hope. Hey Allen I admire your videos and how you are explaining the scripture. Since you want to hear different thoughts on the topic I've decided to share mine. I believe, that 10 commandments are one of the most powerful statements in the Bible, that every Christian should keep. Lots of people see them as rules, but I rather see them as loving advices from God given to His children to live a happy and fulfilled life. It also reflects our respect and love towards Him. And when it comes to Sabbath and the saying, that after the cross things have changed it is true to a certain traditional point.(no sacrifices and cleansing our sins with good deeds etc.) But 10 commandments are universal. They existed from the start. Sabbath was not only the day of rest, but the first day in Eden where Adam and Eve were introduced to life and were in a Holy presence with God. It is mentioned so many times in the Bible, but not once, where Jesus or anyone in the Bible would state DIRECTLY, Sabbath is not important anymore. If Jesus would say that, He would not be a man of His word. He would show, double standards. As one brother already stated, it is really wrong to say 9 commandments stay important and 1 is optional. To sum it up, Jesus said I did not come to change the old testament, but to fulfil it. To add and not to change. He pointed out the most important one: Love God and love your brothers and sisters with all of your heart. By doing that, everything in the Bible ends up working as a the result, also keeping the Sabbath holy. This is my point of view, I sacrificed a lot for Sabbath, I am professional pianist and composer, and I have cancelled a lot of career opportunities, but I don't regret it, because God has always opened better doors and Sabbath has always been a blessing and a powerful test where you need to choose between God and this world and the government rules that come with it. I Love you Allen and see you soon! If not on this earth in a new Jerusalem! Greets from Slovenia!❤️ P.S. Love the shirt, where can I get it?? 😂

Felis Dom yea I’ve seen that explanation before, but the only thing that article seemed to miss is John wrote the book of Revelation in 96 A.D. and this is AFTER the first Christian authors started calling Sunday the Lord’s Day. John wrote about the Sabbath before and he always called it the Sabbath. He never nicknamed it. The Lord’s Day is Sunday, end of story. You can only assume that John decided to nickname the Sabbath, and that’s a weak leg to stand on. As a matter of fact any Sabbath day keeping being mandated by law for New Testament Christians is a completely assumptive doctrine. One must assume every single time the word “Commandments” is used in scripture it always 100% of the time refers to the Ten Commandments of Torah. Another faulty leg to stand on. The article goes so far as to say “The Greek Fathers we’re converts from paganism” well Justin Martyr was John’s disciple. Not bad for the power of the holy spirits conversion of the heart right?

@@Dexion845 dear friend, respectful, I ask you to go read the whole of Revelation 1 again. Shy Goy that is a great question I'm glad you asked. The reason why there's so much confusion about this is because people fail to separate things that involve the old testament and old covenant with the new covenant we are under today. But we must understand is that in the Old Testament God made a specific covenant with a specific group of people. But as Paul said, the church is now comprised of Jews and Gentiles. Christ's death issued in a new covenant. As a result, certain things changed. And as we can see from the Scriptures I pointed out, we now have the freedom to consider every day alike without being bound by the law. Once again, this is the one commandment that is not repeated in the New Testament.

God called my family out of our traditional Sunday church, actually out of the institutional church in general and to obey the Sabbath. However, we in no way act as if we are right, nor do I pass any judgement at all. it’s not about what I think. It’s am I obedient to what God says to me in scripture or not. It’s been awesome too. What you're representing here is not the Bible doctrine but your own opinion. Of course the devil will always say the opposite with what God has said. The Sabbath is a sign between God's people and God. God is talking to Jews at that time because they are His people. If you consider yourself God's people then it is your privilege to follow the Sabbath. Sabbath is not exclusive to the Jews. If you only read Exodus 20:10 you will also read that slaves and foreigners are included. Even animals! Read and know the context. Romans 14:5 This cannot be the Sabbath because Paul still observes Sabbath (Acts 17:2) the same Jesus grew up with (Luke 4:16). Sabbath was not even mentioned in this verse! The issue here is the days which is more important with the individual. Remember that some ceremonial laws are done away with but that doesn’t mean the same with 10 commandments. Remember that the Sabbath commandment is included in the 10 commandments. If I will go with your argument, does that mean I am now allowed to make idols? Kill? Steal? I hope you’re not being selective with what you want to follow. While majority of the early Christians are Jews, there are still some who considers the day of atonement, day of Passover or days of fasting are important. Because the early Christians are in the transition period, Paul gives tolerance to what Jews grew up with. Again, context my friend.

It is very true that the Sabbath was given specifically to the Israelites, who were taken out of literal slavery. It was not given to people who live in Alaska who have months without a sunrise, it was not given to thousands upon thousands of people who work at a hospital or prison. Teaching the Sabbath the way some organizations teach it is not the Gospel that Christ wanted Christians to share. It is a salvation by works that is unrealistic for everybody to keep. -Galatians 1:8-9 ..."though we or an angel from heaven should preach another gospel, let them be accursed".... Evidently, preaching a false Gospel (as I understand it, a false way to earn salvation) was a big problem in Paul's time, and it's a big problem today as well. The Sabbath should be taught as a historical event to the Israelites, not a means of salvation that millions can not realistically keep, with "the mark of the beast" being a consequence of not keeping it. This is a false Gospel, a false means of salvation.

Amen! This is sound teaching. This reminds me of the debate between Paul, James, and Peter at Antioch about Gentiles and circumcision. How Paul admonished Peter and Barnabas for not assembling with the Gentiles, making them second-class because they were not circumcised. Eventually, Peter agreed with Paul that Jesus is the New Covenant and that certain Laws were for the people of Israel and could not be mandated upon the Gentiles.

WAS CHRIST RAISED FROM THE DEAD ON SATURDAY OR SUNDAY? An explanation of Matthew 28:1, “In the end of the Sabbath” (KJV), or “Late on the Sabbath” (ASV)? This seems to say that the women came to the tomb and found it empty on the evening of the Sabbath, which would indicate that Jesus was raised on Saturday, not Sunday. No, this does not mean that Jesus was raised from the grave on Saturday, for three important reasons. Comparing the Witness Testimony The first thing we need to do is to compare the gospel records. When we do, we discover that the other Gospel accounts clearly show that this visit occurred on the first day of the week. Here is what they say. When the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, so that they might go and anoint him. And very early on the first day of the week, when the sun had risen, they went to the tomb (Mk. 16:1-2). But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they came unto the tomb, bringing the spices which they had prepared (Lk. 24:1). Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene came to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb (Jn. 20.1). The other records are clear. The visit occurred around dawn on the first day of the week. Now let’s look at Matthew’s record a little closer. Proper Translation Actually, the problem in this question is one of translation from the original Greek language into English. The rendition of Matthew 28:1 should be as follows: “After the sabbath day, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week . . .” The Sabbath ended at 6:00 p.m. the previous evening, and the dawn of Sunday morning was approaching. The Greek of the passage is opse sabbaton, meaning “after the Sabbath” (Arndt and Gingrich 1967, 606). The Revised Standard Version thus correctly translates, “Now after the Sabbath . . .” The New American Standard Bible renders the verse in the same way. Historical Testimony It is the universal testimony of both Scripture and church history that the early Christians regarded Sunday as Christ’s resurrection day. The disciples met together on resurrection Sunday (Jn. 20:19), then on Sunday a week later (20:26). The church was established on Pentecost, which always came on Sunday (Lev. 23:15-16; Acts 2:1). The early Christians, under the leadership of inspired men, worshiped on Sunday (Acts 20:7; 1 Cor. 16:2). That day was later designated as “the Lord’s day” (Rev. 1:10). If we examine post-apostolic writers (ca. from A.D. 100 to A.D. 325), they agree with all the evidence we’ve presented: the other gospel records, the Greek translation, and New Testament practice of the early church. Sunday was the resurrection day. The Lord rose from the dead not on Saturday, but on Sunday morning.
@marcelpratt56932 жыл бұрын
Nowhere in the Bible does it say that the Sunday is the new Sabbath. Resurrection, Pentecost, Disciples gathering (for fear of the Jews) on the 1st day does not come close to humans authorising a change to the Sabbath of the 10 Commandments. These observations are merely used to excuse humans for following man made laws and refusing to be obedient to Gods Holy Law, the 10 Commandments

André Darius To be clear-all 10-commandments are still in effect. Now recall that the sabbath begins AT SUNDOWN: (Leviticus 23:32) “It is a day of sabbath rest for you, and you must deny yourselves. From the ⭐️evening⭐️ of the ninth day of the month until the following evening you are to observe your sabbath." You cannot track the sabbath without the evening. Well what about Revelation 22:5? For it says: “There will be ⭐️NO MORE NIGHT⭐️. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.” This means that the physical aspect of sabbath-tracking it by natural means through a nightime cycle-was always intended to come to an end. It ends when the light of God is with us. The physical aspect of the sabbath itself ends but the PRINCIPLE of the sabbath, which it is based upon-remains. Do we have that light now? The light of the New Heavens and the New Earth? Yes, we do: (John 8:12) “When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the ⭐️light of the world⭐️. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."” Jesus is the light of the world. So while physically we can still track the sabbath with our eyes-observing when it is nightfall...”spiritually” we cannot because it is always light. We are never in darkness. For those of us with spiritual eyes, there remains only the principle of sabbath. Not the physical sabbath. Our eyes are on a spiritual sabbath. So yes, all 10-commandments are in effect. They are written in our hearts: (Hebrews 10:16) “"This is the covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds." Does that help? I hope it does.

....***Greetings, Beloved of God. This message is lengthy but, it is very important. The ancient Israelites was tested by the Sabbath commandment to see if they would keep God’s law or no in Exodus 16:4- Do not be surprised if God allow man to do a similar test, enforce some type of Sabbath law to see if we will keep His law or no. ************************************************ Right now, we all do not see eye to eye, but, please hear me out.............. There is no way anyone can prove from the KJV Bible that Saturday, Sunday, etc. is the biblical seventh day Sabbaths. For, the words Saturday, Sunday, etc. do not appear in the Bible. A continuous Saturday, Sunday, etc., “man made Sabbaths” ARE NOT the true Bible Sabbaths because they are not calculated by true time. God’s true time is written in Genesis 1:14. When God commanded us to keep a seventh day Sabbath, kill the Passover on the 14th day of the first month, keep the day of atonement on the 10th day of the seventh month, etc......would He not have given us a calendar/Time to find these dates? Yes, He would have and He did, in Genesis 1:14. We are commanded to keep the days, years, etc. by the lights in heaven (the sun, moon and stars.) God did not specify which days, so, we must conclude that He meant for all of His 3 category of days to be kept by the lights in heaven. *********** The Sabbath command is one of the Ten Commandments listed in Exodus 20. It is just as important as the other nine and God commands us to keep it. Multitudes of people think and teach that we are only required to keep 9 of God’s Ten Commandments. My Friend, if we think this way, we are already deceived. ***The Sabbath is a feast. Leviticus 23:1-3 ***The moon is for seasons. Psalms 104:19 ***The lights in heaven are for seasons, etc. Genesis 1:14 ***The words “feast” and “season” comes from the same Hebrew word, MOED. ***MOED is, appointed times, appointments, feast, season, etc. The Sabbath is a MOED, an appointed time , a feast, a season, etc. Therefore, the moon, along with the other lights in heaven, are for Sabbaths. THE SABBATH IS TO BE CALCULATED BY THE TIME GOD ORDAINED IN THE BEGINNING OF CREATION NOT BY MAN’S TIME/CALENDARS. Who can prove from Genesis 1:14 that the Sabbath day is not calculated by the lights in heaven? Although many have tried, it cannot be refuted!! Take a glimpse at the dates in Genesis 7:11 and Genesis 8:4,13,14. Are these dates calculated by the Time God commanded in Genesis 1:14 or by the Gregorian time or some other man made time? ********** There are about 167 countries that keep Sunday as the seventh day and the remaining, approximately, 64 countries keep Saturday as the seventh day. If there is a “seventh day Sunday law” enforced and the remaining 64 countries change their calendars to read Sunday as the seventh day, then, the world will be keeping Sunday the seventh day as the Sabbath. Mon. Tue. Wed. Thur. Fri. Sat. Sunday 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7 What day will you and I then keep as the Sabbath? Already today, there are “Sunday Blue Laws” on government books. Man can change “their” time anytime and deceive the world under the leadership of Satan. We must calculate God’s Sabbath by God’s Time so The Great Deceiver can not trick us about the true Sabbath and “cause” us to worship him. “ He will think to change time and laws.” says Daniel 7:25 He only “THOUGHT” to change time when He “supposedly” had replaced God’s calendar with his calendar on earth. For he could not and has not truly change time because God’s Time sits in the heavens where no man can tamper with it! The sun, moon and stars, the lights in heaven, are God’s Time/Calendar. *********** God’s Calendar has three category of days, the new moon day, the six work days and the Sabbath day. 2 Kings 4:18-23 & Ezekiel 46:1-3. The new moon day is the first day of the month, the beginning of months. These days never, ever, ever overlaps each other on God’s Time! ........However, this is not true on the famous Gregorian calendar. The new moon day falls anywhere and everywhere on that calendar, in a given month. For example, sometimes, the new moon day falls on a “man made Saturday Sabbath”, on a “man made Sunday Sabbath”, in the midst of the month, etc. How can it both be the first day of the month and the seventh day Sabbath? How can the first day of the month start in the midst of a month? God said in Genesis 1:14 to, let the lights in heaven be for days, etc. So, which one or ones of God’s three category of days are kept by the lights in heaven? ...The new moon day? ...The six work days? ...The Sabbath day? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Example of God’s months: 1st week... new moon day, six work days and Sabbath day 2nd, 3rd, 4th weeks....six work days and Sabbath day The next month the cycle starts over. God’s months reset. Read Luke 6:1 Man uses this same concept. For example: The 1st and 3rd Sunday in August, the 1st and 3rd Sunday in September.” “The 2nd and 4th Sabbath in April, the 2nd and 4th Sabbath in May.” Note: There is never, never, ever, ever, 5 weekly Sabbaths in any one of God’s months. This is not true on the Gregorian calendar. Sometimes, there are 5 weekly “Gregorian Sabbaths.” This is not in align with true time. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I believe there is a great deception coming to get people to worship Satan through a false Calendar/Sabbath controversy. God is a God of truth. God guides people by His truth. God’s Word is truth. Truth is our shield and buckler. Truth will keep us from all deceptions, the mark of beast, etc. Christ did not suffer on the cross for us to walk in a lie and continue to cling to our traditions! He did not die for us to keep obeying the “voice of man” above “the voice of God!” Read the stories about “King Saul” in 1 Samuel 15 and the “man of God” in 1 king 13. Let us learn a lesson from these testimonies....Obey God’s Voice! When we do and teach man’s commandments for doctrine, it is vain! It is useless! God does not honor it! There will be no reward! Again! there is a great possibility some type of “Man made Sabbath Law” could be enforced. These latter days crises seems to be pointing in that direction. If this is not true, then, we do not have to worry about it......But..... ....If it is truth then, we need to become more knowledgeable about this subject in order to make the right decision whom we will honor and serve. A Sabbath test will reveal those who believe Gods Word in Genesis 1:14 and those who do not believe His Word. Whether there is or whether there is not a “Sabbath Test”, we still need to know the truth about God’s Time written in the Word of God so we can be obedient in all things. ***Worship Him that made heaven, earth and sea. ***Babylon is fallen! Babylon is fallen! ***Do not worship the Beast and receive his mark, whosoever does, will be eternal lost and be burnt with fire and brimstones. ****Read Revelation 13 & 14 This truth about God’s Calendar/Time and The Sabbath written in Genesis 1:14, Leviticus 23:1-3, Psalms 104:19, etc.is spreading throughout the four corners of the earth. This message enrages many who claim to be followers of Christ because they can not refute it. It seems, the people outside the church buildings are the ones eagerly accepting it and believing it. Please let us consider what is being said here and further research this important subject before it is to late. Peace and Love Friend of God

@@kaidrewry552 Can I ask you some questions regarding the Bible?

Shalom to you all. Should we be keeping the Shabbat? Here are a few scriptures to help with this question. 1) Christ Died to save us from Sin Matthew 1:21 2) So... If Christ died for our sins, then it is very important that we learn Exactly, What Sin Is according to the Bible, because it actually defines what sin is. And, without the Bible, what Sin is would be left up for anyone's guess and interpretation. 1 John 3:4-5 4) The word "Christian" : means to be a follower of christ. 1 John 2:3-6 5) And, if we follow and love him, then we will show that love through our obedience to him. John 14:15, 21 6) What he commanded wasn't his own words, but he gave us what the The Heavenly Father sent him to tell us. John 14:23-24 7) So then, Jesus's saying of "If you love me Keep my Commandments" come full circle, for this is exactly what The Heavenly Father himself has already said. Exodus 20:5-6 Deuteronomy 7:9-11 And lastly.... 8) keeping the Commandments is one of the Identifying Markers of a Saint. Revelation 12:17 Revelation 14:12 So... based upon the above evidence. I'd venture to say Yes, we are supposed to keep the Sabbath, in addition to the other Commandments. But, Not to be save, but rather Because we are saved. Jeremiah 31:31-34 Shalom.

Honor God every day! Jesus needs to be our Lord every day! I have no idea which day is the true Sabbath or why in the new covenant I need to worry about it. All I know is I need Jesus all the time. His Word is amazing.

This, I want to learn more about God and honor him everyday. though I sin all the time, sometimes unwillingly, (staying up too late, not eating right, etc.) I would love to continue to seek guidance from God in keeping the Sabbath. God Bless.

The Sabbath is very important; it is from Friday evening to Saturday evening: it is a relationship with God in getting to know Him. More can be seen on the Sabbath in the Tomorrow's World booklet: "Which day is the Christian Sabbath." More details below: Can I ask you some questions regarding the Bible? It is clear from Peter in 2Pet.2:21 that the way of righteousness is keeping God's Holy Commandment: the 7th Day Sabbath and to NOT do it would be SIN; wouldn't it be according to 1John 3:4?

So if the commandment to remember to honor the sabbath is a personal choice, is murdering also a personal choice? No! Keep your sabbath as God commands. Find a sabbath keeping church! They're amazing.

I agree, The sabbath is mentioned in exodus as part of the moral law, not only ceremonial. Christ clearly mentioned that he came to fulfill and not do away with the moral law. The early church also kept the sabbath and none of the verses in the video suggests that sunday was in any way a day tobe kept instead of the sabbath

You have to be careful of Sabbath churches, most (Matt.7:13) are following the false church. I will give you examples of this as how certain churches twist contexts to say one thing when the Bible doesn't say it that way. Col.2:16 tells individuals NOT to judge others for keeping the Sabbath in Lev.23 and New Moons in Isaiah 66:23 as well as other things, but it seems the world does judge others for keeping the Sabbaths, etc. such as this person in video did. Col.2:16-17 is talking about all the Sabbaths of Lev.23. Notice how Jesus talked about the weekly Sabbath being "sabbath days" in Mark 3:2,4. Connecting Col.2:16 "sabbath days" with Mark 2:4. Now Col.2:17 means that all of the feast days haven't been fulfilled which are a "shadow of things to come": meaning future tense. See Isaiah 66:23 when all flesh will be worshipping the New Moons and Sabbaths in the future. Look also at Zech.14 of when Jesus comes back that all will be keeping the feast of tabernacles in verses 16-19. So in other words, what has been fulfilled was Passover when Jesus died for our sins, Feast of Unleavened Bread (1Cor.5:6-8) of where you put sin out of one's life and Pentecost is where the Apostles received the Holy Spirit in Acts 2:1-4. What hasn't been fulfilled yet is the Feast of Trumpets in 1Thess.4:16-17, Joel 2:1-15, Rev.1:10, Rev.9:6 & Rev.10:7 & Rev.11:7-19, Jer.4:19-31 (for there are 7 trumpets, the last trumpet is the time of war when Christ comes back), Isaiah 66:15-17, Rev.19:19, etc. where Christ returns to raise up the dead as stop World War 3 from totally wiping out the earth. What also hasn't been fulfilled is the Day of Atonement where Satan is bound for a 1,000 years and the world comes " at one with God" = Rev.20:2-3. What hasn't been fulfilled either is the Feast of Tabernacles and Last Great Day of where the vast majority will hear the truth without being influenced by Satan, it will be their first genuine opportunity to act upon the truth. More about this can be found in the Tomorrow's World booklet: "The Holy Days: God's Master Plan". About Isaiah 1:13-14, it doesn't say God's Feasts, it states their feasts " Your new moons and your appointed feasts...which ties together with the pagan feast days that honor other gods and goddesses. Even Gal.4:8-10 (Deut.30:17, Deut.29:26, Jer.16:20, etc. & 1Thess.4:5. Deut.17:3.) talks about these "days, months, times/seasons and years" that worships gods and goddesses that brings one unto the bondage of sin. 🎉New Year's honors Janus: the god of gates.

What about keeping the rest of God's Law found in Lev.23? I feel I have to explain, so I will give scriptures to you. I think you need to read this. Angee Simpson *_The True Sabbath for a True Christian... is_* If we are not keeping the seventh day Sabbath, it’s not because we are ignoring one of God’s own commandments, as they say.They even cited Matthew 5:18, which I quote hereunder: (17) *“Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. (18) “For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.”* They were erroneously carried by the misinterpretation of these verses by the leaders of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. When the Lord Jesus Christ said that, He “Is come not to destroy the laws and the prophets, but to fulfill”, authorities of the SDAC recklessly interpreted that the “laws” and the “prophets” meant by the Lord are the Ten Commandments; But this is not so! To give you a backgrounder, our Lord Jesus Christ came to earth to fulfill the “laws” and the “prophets” intended exclusively for Him by God the Father. (Hebrews 10:7) *“Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.”* Note the phrase “written of me”, meaning, the will of God for Him to accomplish. Does it mean the Ten Commandments? (Luke 24:44) *“And he said unto them,These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets,and in the psalms, concerning me.”* Note again that He is going to fulfill those that were written in the Law of Moses, in the prophets and in the psalms *concerning Him.* Why not the Ten Commandments?Because the Ten Commandments were not meant for Christ! (1 Timothy 1:9-11) *“Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.”* Consider that the Ten Commandments were not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient! Jesus Christ is righteous and obedient. (Hebrews 5:8) *“Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered…”* He is obedient because He fulfilled all the laws and the prophets written concerning His person and exclusively for Him. SDAC argues that the Lord Jesus Christ fulfilled the Ten Commandments and observed the Seventh Day Sabbath by going to the synagogues on Sabbath Day.But, did He enter the synagogue on Sabbath day to keep it? (Luke 4:16-19) *“And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.”* (Luke 4:28-30) *“And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath, And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong. But he passing through the midst of them went his way…”* If you look closely, Brother, He went into the synagogue, not to keep the seventh day Sabbath but, to preach the gospel (not the 10 commandments); and when the Sabbath keepers heard his preaching, they rose up against Him, wanting to destroy Him. Why would Sabbath keepers destroy a fellow Sabbath keeper? We do not only apply logic here, but verses to prove that Jesus Christ did not keep the Sabbath being kept by the Jews. (John 5:18) *“Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.”* After all, He is not under obligation to keep the Sabbath or to follow the Ten Commandments which are meant for the “lawless”, and not for a righteous person like Him. Why do I say that He is not under obligation to keep the seventh day Sabbath? (Mark 2:27-28) *“And he said unto them,The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.”* Notice that He is Lord, also, of the Sabbath. The Lord is not under the Sabbath but, Sabbath is under Him. The verse said that the Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. *Sabbath made for man* = The Israelites (Deuteronomy 5:15) *Not man for the Sabbath* = Meaning not all men are obliged to keep the Sabbath *The Son of Man* = Lord of the Sabbath = Not under the Sabbath Nowhere in the book of Acts (that discloses the activities of the first century Christian) church can you find a verse that the disciples congregate in keeping the Sabbath. The Apostle Paul is recorded to have entered the synagogue every Sabbath to persuade the Sabbath keepers, and as a result, they opposed him and blasphemed. Again, why will a Sabbath keeper be opposed by a fellow Sabbath keeper? (Acts 18:4, 6) *“And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks…”* *“And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook his raiment, and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean: from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles.”* Records in the gospel inform us of the truth that the disciples did not keep the seventh day Sabbath. (Matthew 12:1-2) *“At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were hungry, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat. But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day.”* You must remember that it is prohibited for Sabbath keepers to do any work on the seventh day. That is why the disciples and the apostles were charged by the Jews for not keeping their Sabbath. It is not lawful to kindle fire on The Sabbath. (Exodus 35:3) *“Ye shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the sabbath day.”* Can you imagine the apostles eating corn, raw? It is very evident that they broke the Sabbath because they understood that it was not for them. There is a holy day for Christians; not like the day regarded holy by the Israelites.The Apostle Paul speaks of it to former 7th day Sabbath keepers who were converted to Christianity. (Hebrews 4:4, 8 ) *“For He spoke in a certain place of the seventh day in this way:” And God rested the seventh day from all His works…”* *“…For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day.”* Note that God first spoke of the seventh day in verse 7, which, Joshua, leading the Israelites to the Promised Land, administered unto them; but on verse 8, he speaks of another day, meaning, other than the seventh day. Paul gave us his basis for this ‘another’ day. He mentioned the Psalms of David. (Hebrew 4:7) *“He again marks out a certain day, saying in David, “Today, “(after so long a time). Even as it is said, “Today, if you will hear His voice, harden not your hearts.”* This day of rest is what ‘remaineth’ for the people of God in the New Testament. (Hebrews 4:9) *“So then there remains a rest to the people of God.”* Notice meticulously the terms being used by Paul: 1.another day 2.certain day 3.a rest or a Sabbath Definitely, these terms do not mean the seventh day Sabbath. There are so many seventh days in a year. The New Testament mentions of a certain day (singular), another day (singular), a rest (singular). What is this day? It is mentioned in the Psalms of David, according to Paul. (Psalms 118:20-24) *“This gate of the LORD, into which the righteous shall enter.I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation. The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner. This is the LORD’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes. This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”* This is a *Day* with voice! If you hear His voice, harden not your hearts, the verse said. This *Day* is the gate where the righteous will enter. It is the stone which became headstone of the corner. This is the *Day* that the Lord hath made (emphasis mine). This *Day* is Jesus Christ: the true Sabbath or rest for Christians. (Matthew 11:28-29) *“Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.”* Regardless of the literal day, Christians congregate; the Day that the Lord has made is with them. Christ is with them.Peace is with them. They are in God’s rest or Sabbath. (Matthew 18:20) *“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”* Where the spirit of Christ is, there is peace; there is rest; there is Sabbath. (John 14:27) *“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”* Where there’s no peace there’s no rest, and where there’s peace there is genuine rest or Sabbath.

CHRISTIANS CANNOT MIX THE LAW OF MOSES AND THE LAW OF CHRIST · The Pharisees mentioned in Acts 15 who were claiming that Christians had to be circumcised and to keep the law of Moses had carried their false teaching to the churches in Galatia. It had become such a problem that Paul wrote them the letter to the Galatians in order to correct this false teaching. In Galatians 5:1-4, Paul wrote, "Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. 2 Indeed I, Paul, say to you that if you become circumcised, Christ will profit you nothing. 3 And I testify again to every man who becomes circumcised that he is a debtor to keep the whole law. 4 You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace" (NKJV). The Judaizers had been teaching Christians in Galatia that they had to mix certain works of the law of Moses with their Christian faith. Paul told them that to do that caused them to be bound to the entire law of Moses. They could not mix the two at all. Paul then went on to tell them in verse 4 that it caused them to be separated from Christ and to fall from grace.

Angee, Can I ask you some questions regarding the Bible?

If breaking the Sabbath was punishable by death in the Old Testament (Exodus 31:14 & 35:2), why is it not condemned in any way, shape, or form in the New Testament? Various passages in the New Testament list numerous types of sinners who will not inherit the kingdom (see 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Galatians 5:19-21, 1 Timothy 1:9-10, and Revelation 21:8 & 22:15), but none of those lists ever mention Sabbath-breakers. Why is that?
@harveywabbit95412 жыл бұрын
The New Testament suffers no man to "judge another in respect to the Sabbath day, or of any holy days" (see Coloss, ii., 16). It asserts the right to esteem every day alike, "agreeably to the persuasions of a man's own mind" (Romans, xiv., 5). It binds no man "to the observance of days, and months, and times, and years" (Gal. iv., 10) Jesus did not enjoin respect for the Sabbath, but justified the contrary (Matt, xii., 5)

@@justsomevids4541 they usually call themselves Messianic Jews. All it means is they are Jew by birth, but have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior. If you Google "Jews For Jesus", you will learn a lot! My church visited a Messianic Jewish Synagogue once (their Sabbath is still on Saturday), and it was one of the most Spirit-filled services I'd ever attended! It was all about Jesus! Simply amazing! They have been Jew since birth, and still observe their traditions. We invited a Messianic Jew to speak at our church and it was so amazing. The Rabbi said, "I've observed these traditions my whole life, and it wasn't until years later that I saw how all of the symbolism pointed right to Yeshua!" They are basically what Jesus' disciples were. Jews who recognized and accepted Jesus as the promised Messiah!

This video is full of lies and misleadings. Read each of the verses IN THEIR CONTEXT and you will see they have nothing to do with not keeping the Sabbath commandment. P.S. It's a little ironic that when the ceremonial laws were kept outside of the ark and the ten commandments were kept inside the ark (which was the foundation of the mercy seat) for some reason they pick one commandment from inside the ark and cast it out with all of the ceremonial laws outside the ark.

Jesus kept the Sabbath day, to show us the examples that we should follow!, The Sabbath day was abolished in 321AD at the council of Nicea. The early church that has a firm faith, trying to keep God’s law were all persecuted when keeping Sabbath day. However, the Bible had already prophesied int he book of Daniel that Satan will changed God set times and rules. That’s why many Christian nowadays are not keeping Sabbath but Sunday worship which is actually the sungod worship. God said in the book of Matthew “ you worship Me in vain, your teachings are merely human rules”. Though out heart when worshiping is to God, but if we do not keep God’s rules, God said that we are worshiping in vain.

▸ Keeping the sabbath was part of the law that Christ took away. “He . . . canceled out the certificate of death consisting of decrees against us . . .; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day-things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ” (Colossians 2:14-17). Christians are no more obligated to keep the sabbath than the other Old Testament festivals or its food and drink regulations! In fact, we are warned against going back to the Law to justify our practices. To do so severs us from Christ (Galatians 5:1-4).

Luke 16:17 ESV - But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one dot of the Law to become void. Matthew 5: 17-19 - " Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished. 19 Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Psalms 111:7-8 - The works of His hands are faithful and right. All His Laws are true. 8 They stand strong forever and ever. They are done by what is true and right. Mark 7:9 - Then he said, “You show great skill in avoiding the commands of God so that you can follow your own teachings! God's law is unvarying. Period. we will follow it here on earth, in heaven and anywhere else we'll go. Jesus did not come to abolish the law as stated in Matthew 5:17. When Jesus comes for the 2nd coming the law will not change, when we go to Heaven the law will not change, when 25 billion years pass, the law will not change. God's word is final, he doesn't change the law or leave it up to our own definition/meaning.
