1:09:53 I’m pretty sure they’re actually saluting Godzilla. There are some stories of the Japanese saluting Americans in some occasions when fighting them during WW2. The USS Johnston is a great example because when this ship was sinking, the Japanese passed by the sinking destroyer while saluting its sailors because they put up one hell of a fight.

39:40~ Civilians come up with a plan to exterminate Godzilla, but at the time, the Japanese government was under American rule, and the military and even the police were all neutralized by the U.S. This historical fact is also reflected in the film. 1:09:59~ After Godzilla breaks into pieces, everyone salutes. This has two meanings. One is that it is a custom for the Japanese to show respect to those they fought against. In the past, Japan has repeatedly done similar acts in the past, such as erecting memorials for Russian soldiers who died in battle and holding memorial services for them. Anti-Japanese propaganda sometimes portrays Japanese people as inhuman, but that is a fabrication. The second meaning is that Godzilla himself is a victim of the atomic bomb, and is a sign of respect for the victims.

I understand what you’re saying. Propaganda was used during the war. However Japan did play its part in WW2, and committed inhumane acts across Southeast Asia and parts of East Asia. AFAIK there are no memorials for Japanese war crime victims since they are not formally acknowledged, and barely mentioned in their history books.
@mijinko-oyabun3 ай бұрын
@@wom.ph1 You should look at the world situation at that time. Southeast Asia, other than Thailand, was a colony of the Netherlands, Britain, France, America, and others. At the Paris Peace Conference after World War I, Japan proposed the abolition of racial discrimination. This was a declaration that Western countries, which had colonized countries of colored people, could not ignore. As a result of Japan's war with America, many Southeast Asian countries gained independence after Japan's defeat. Where did your information come from that the Japanese military committed atrocities in Asian countries? Was it Korea? Was it China? Please carefully examine the information from countries that incite anti-Japanese sentiment and the information that can be compared to the facts.

I'm a citizen of Hiroshima Prefecture. In this movie, there are 30,000 victims of Godzilla's Atomic Breath, but I will explain the actual atomic bombing. The temperature at 8:15 a.m. on August 15, 1945 was less than 30 degrees Celsius, but it instantly rose to 3000 degrees due to the atomic bombing of the B29 bomber. The damage situation at that time has been revealed by a follow-up survey by the ongoing obsession of Hiroshima City. First of all, people within a radius of 1 km from the hypocenter instantly boiled blood in their bodies due to high temperatures, and blood vessels ruptured and died instantly. And people within 1 kilometer outside it were caught in a building that collapsed by the blast and became immobile and burned to death due to the fire. In addition, in the outer 1 kilometer range, people suffered for three days and three nights because they were exposed to the high-concentration radioactive rain that fell immediately after the atomic bomb. At this moment, about 90,000 citizens lost their lives. In addition, American prisoners of war who were imprisoned in Hiroshima City also followed the same fate.
@shawnadams14605 ай бұрын
The atomic bombs were a terrible tragedy and one I wish our nations had been able to avoid. But IMO the Firebombing of Tokyo was far worse. Conservative estimates have a death toll of 80 to nearly 100k, with a displacement of the masses of 1 to 1.5 million people. The amount of bloodshed that followed from starvation, exposure and just downright hopelessness was far worse. Yes the main targets were manufacturing hubs within Tokyo, but we knew that the majority of houses and structures were made of paper and wood, and that the ensuing fire would devastate the civilian population. War is a very dirty thing, those in power do not care how their actions affect the general populace. I hope one day we can set aside our hostility towards each other over such puny things as nationality, race, gender etc.

This Godzilla borrows from other iterations, but it goes for the version that Godzilla was an evolved prehistoric creature that survived to modern day. When it was hit by the nuclear bomb tests, it caused him to rapidly mutate an unstoppable beast with the atomic breath. In fact, main Godzilla's skin isn't just scales, but are keloid scars left from the bomb's burns. That’s actually how the original 54 Godzilla's skin was supposed to resemble. The director also confirmed before he was hit by the bomb, Godzilla already had regenerative properties which allowed him to survive the bomb, but his healing factor caused him to rapidly mutate due to the fallout

When we first see Godzilla at the beginning of the film, he seemed to have a contempt for humanity but was also shown to be curious. He only attacked when provoked. Kind of like a corned animal defending his territory similar to Jason from Friday the 13th and the shark of Jaws. But once he mutated and transformed into his familiar form, his contempt turned into outright hatred and misanthropic towards humans. It’s implied that Godzilla blames them for his condition. That’s why he’s seen so outlandishly destructive and violent. He wants to punish them and destroy what they had left. He’s doing it all on purpose.

@charlesmorris64766 ай бұрын
Godzilla does not have to kick very much because he has neutral buoyancy. Also, at the end of the movie we see on Noriko’s neck, the dark spot of Godzilla cells that blasted off of him and some of Godzilla DNA fused onto Noriko’s neck Which is why she was able to heal so quickly from what was more than likely terminal trauma from her being blown away. These cells are called “regenerator G1”, which is mutated Godzilla genes from the atomic blast and was discovered in“ Godzilla 2000“ “regenerator G1” that causes him to regenerate immediately. This addition was added in a previous Godzilla movie by TOHO called “Godzilla 2000“. This fusion of Godzilla genes with Noriko’s DNA has benefited her and keeping her alive but as far as the long term effects on Noriko Is anybody’s guess. We also see there is enough of Godzilla left over to regenerate, so they must obviously be planning sequels.

The theory on how she became infected is that the shockwave couldve sent her flying and she got caught by or was put under debris and since that whole area became radioactive the gcells infected her. 15:12 Woman injected herself and random stolen child into man's life, and he STILL did his best to provide for both even though he got nothing from her. She was a detriment to his life, and gave him nothing, while making his life harder, and he still stepped up and provided. Netflix has put out a version of this where she is a complete whiny bitch that harrasses him constantly while pretending that the nonstop hatred of him is what should happen normally. Man took care of her and her stolen baby for years while pretending that she was not a nutjob. I respect him more for that than taking out Godzilla.

@@dolphinsrr indeed, the fact that the Director said it himself is proof that there will be a sequel, and of course, Godzilla regenerating from that chunk of himself

I love that they took notes from the original testing of G14's roar where they played it on a shit ton of speakers and people could hear it within a few miles and were dialing 911 wondering wtf that was. They did the same thing with the og roar but recorded it to use in the movie.

This is my 3rd favorite Godzilla movie. Also the reason why Godzilla is so angry is because they were trying to unalive Godzilla when they bombed it in the Bikini Attol, but it instead of unaliving Godzilla it just put it's body through a constant state of agonising pain.
Please Watch All Godzilla Movies 😢❤ 🙏🏼 You Won’t Be Dissatisfied This One Right Here Is A Complete Bomb 💣💪🏼 And Godzilla King Of The Monsters And Godzilla Vs Kong And Also Godzilla X Kong The New Empire 🤭

They didn’t pinch the baby, stop spreading misinformation. It has been reported that they filmed around the babies moods when she needed to be in a scene. A baby around a bunch of unfamiliar people, it’s gonna happen eventually.

Ain't no way, are you sure it was wikizilla and not zillawiki because as far as anything the director has said this movie is its own continuity and that hes open for his next movie to a vs movie Edit: after doing a quick search the only thing I have found relevant to your post is a reddit post that states that they have similar parrells but aren't in the same continuity
