They are not calling for the death of one another. The Muslim is approaching this from a philosophical perspective. Robert is claiming that his biggest grievance with Islam is that apostates (people who leave a religion) are to be put to death. However there is no way that Robert can logically prove that ordering an apostate is an objectively immoral act since his own religion claims the exact same thing. Jake is proving a point, not calling for the capital punishment on Rachid. Keep in mind this would need a full sharia government, with witnesses, trial, etc. none of these people have the authority to carry out capital punishment on Rachid under Islamic law.

Jesus came as man in order for Father God to understand the evils and sins of mankind because in Old Testament he kept destroying peoples of the earth due to their evil disobedience but then said he would send his son in flesh to become as man in order for God to understand humans weakness to sin. God is so good that without Jesus coming into human form, he could not understand because God has no evil in him to see just how or why humans did have evil within themselves. There are many Bibles and they are made up of many manuscripts with different verses, gospels, manuscripts, messages, stories, etc. They are not what the Quran is speaking about when God spoke about previous scripture in their original, authentic form. All the manuscripts of Bibles today were not even part of Bibles during that time and come after the time the Quran was revealed. Secondly, not all parts of the Bible are fabricated. Those manuscripts still contain some truth of what God revealed and what the prophets actually said and did. When people want to fool people, they have to mix truth with falsehood. Even fictional books make contact with reality. Those true parts are not the problem. The Bible is also made of two parts, one is supposed to contain revelation from God, with rules or guidance from God, including true prophecies of Jesus and another messiah as well as other things. What is present in the Torah today, is what came through generations of evil and wicked Israelites who were "lying scribes" and would change and alter the text. That does not mean they changed all of it which is why you can go through the text and check with outside authentic sources what is true or not (or has to be left unknown). The gospels on the other hand, are not from what is claimed to be revelation and was not held to be divine, at least not by early Christians. They also were not all the gospels that existed. What we have today in Bibles is what was chosen for political reasons, what survived and was not destroyed or lost (that doesn't actually reflect early Christian beliefs and the original and authentic teachings of ONLY Jesus and not also the altered, embellished stories and ideas of other men instead). Some later claimed it was from divine inspiration though they also wrote without it in places and not all the authors said that either nor can it be proven true for any of them. Thirdly, the reality of the Bible being corrupted and fabricated in parts, is not unique to Muslims. That is a fact even the Rabbis, the Christian Biblical scholars and the book itself confirms! Fourthly, Muhammad did not claim himself to be a prophet and he was not false. While that may be your belief, it is not based upon evidence and is against evidence. There is nothing about Muhammad that can be found or proven false. Not a single thing actually (which, can't be said about some of the many stories of prophets and otherwise in the Bible).

It's not insane because all morality is taught. Empathy and morality are not the same; when you are young you only have empathy but as you grow up you need to be taught morality, which supercedes your empathy, or else you will never have it or you will develop it by your own philosophies. The Christian ethic from which the American concept of human rights comes from is unique to the Christian worldview, it's not the default innate morality of mankind and in fact most of the modern American youth have no understanding of it and are being taught an oppressor/oppressed-based morality wherein the lease privileged is always the morally superior.

So, if you, as a christian lets say, say you are a moral entity, your morals come from god, which is itself an amoral entity, and in that mindset, morality is a dictate from authority. But if you are an atheist, your morals dont come from there, the base of it was inherited from social behavior on apes and other mammals, we complemented them and enhanced them, putting emphasis on social and individual well being. So, if your religion says it is moral to kill some one for say, adultery, I would say that adultery is immoral by itself, because it disrupts both social and individual well being, but killing some one for it is even more immoral for the same reasons. The moral compasses are entirely different.

@@Alientcp Sorry to say you're not demonstrating any understanding at all. If you are a Christian your morals come from being raised up and educated by other Christians. They may be trying to interpret the concept of morality through an understanding of the nature of God from writings in scripture but they are not being given morality directly from God. And it's never a dictate from authority for anyone because every person has the choice to disobey any authority at any time; they weigh the consequences. The morality that comes directly from God is empathy and conscience and everyone has these whether Christian or not. If you are an atheist you are taught your set of morals by the people you study and admire, same as Christians but they are atheists. Morality is not inherited it is taught, so any atheist saying they inherited morality from the social behavior of apes probably has no concept of morality. An atheist who says some behavior is immoral but the punishment for it is also immoral can't really claim to know anything about social well-being. If you don't defend morality from violation then you don't support it and your society will self-destruct it will not have greater well-being.

I remember back in 2011 I think, I was intrigued to read a book in my native language I cannot exactly remember the title, but it sounds something like: "The prophetical signs of the end of times". It must have been translated from English. It wasn't very thick, about 200 pages but the information presented in the book was quite interesting, even if I wasn't totally agree with some things. I can remember it was largely exposing in its subject the role of Vatican and its revelations at Fatima. On the other hand it was a little about the islam and its origins and the author of the book criticized it by saying that muslims must ask themselves if they are honest, how islam worship the true God, if Mecca and Medina was built on the ruins of previous notorious, most important pagan temples of that times? And it was mentioned in the book the name of that previous pagan temples but I cannot remember. If you consider you can help me somehow to remember, you're wellcomed.

He murdered both of them , then fled to the protection of other muslims that sympathized with that belief. After a number of years he was finally discovered hiding with his brother. He was arrested for the murders Amnesty International, and the U.N. both say that around 5,000 honor killings, mostly of women, happen every year. And the trend is gradually rising. The people that do the murders are almost always family members, typically a father or brother. Let's ask ourselves, .. is that what a true religion would condone and actually promote ?!?

Otherwise, it is far too difficult for people to go from believing in one God who is all powerful, has complete knowledge and power and cannot be contained by the heavens (like the Bible says) to believing He can be contained inside a woman's uterus, lose power and knowledge and is three in one. Christianity has found it far too difficult over the years to convert Muslims (like Jews with similar beliefs about God). Length of time is irrelevant when the belief system is wrong from the beginning. There's no need to execute unbelievers, they will be judged accordingly at the end. There's not one example in the NT of someone being executed for leaving the church. Not one. The closest might be Ananias and Sapphira. I don't know the reasons God commanded it in the OT. Most likely it was because the Messiah had not yet come, so humans carried the full ramifications of their sins. God invites questioning in the Bible, he says, "come let us reason together." The truth does not fear questioning.

First, I believe that the Bible is the word of God. Since that is the case, the Bible says that they went out from us but were never of us. It also says that He who began a good work in the Christian will bring it to completion. It says that whoever believes in Christ will have *eternal* life. It says that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ. Christ tells us that we will not perish and that nobody will snatch us out of His hand. It’s talking about a person who entices another to leave his or her’s own religion. Enticing someone to leave their religion and someone choosing to leave a religion are not the same things. So the Muslim guy is making a false comparison. Enticing is when you constantly tempt someone to do something that they should not be doing.

I was born and raised a catholic. As i have now turned 30 it is clear to me more than ever that the most successful, stable, and fruitful countries, empires and governments are the ones that at one point or another had a strong moral compass guiding them, more times than not it was a Christian compass. And those great powers fall when the moral compass loses its way. That's when degeneracy, hedonism, and the breakdown of morality occurs. We are currently in that stage now. As for Islam, my view on it is that it actually is very similar to Christianity in many ways however for some reason it's most devote followers call for violence. It's hard for me to understand a religion that's associated with such violence

As a person who is into occult stuff I have read many holy books including Quran, twice, just to understand it better. My conclusion is that most muslims do not follow Quran properly, they give more importance to hadith. Hadiths are sayings or actions of the Prophet Muhammad, as reported by others and transmitted by his followers. Let me give you couple of examples, there is NOWHERE in the Quran a verse which says that you should kill someone for leaving religion or commiting adultery, that is entirely taken out of hadith. The problem is, most of the muslims believe that hadiths are authentic teachings and should be followed. And the fact that this muslim man is saying that person who leaves islam should be killed, is disturbing.

This isn't true, Orthodox Jews still believe in killing the apostate. In Islam it's optional and up to the jurists who run the state. For example, the prophet Muhammad(pbuh) gave a list with names of the hypocrites/apostates in his city to Hudafyah bin Yamman, they could've just executed these individuals who were pretending to be Muslim but they didn't. Therefore, many Muslim jurists have used this in the past and applied the law of exile on apostates and not execution. Ultimately, whatever will benefit the Muslim state/empire will be the law that's passed if we're talking about public apostasy where an individual comes out and proudly claims it. Just like in the West, you can't come out and tell the secrets of the Government or you become like Edward Snowden and Julian Assange, so clearly freedom is limited in EVERY nation so why hate against Muslims and Islam? double standards...

Apostacy is not a sin or punishable, committing a sin (e.g. idolatry, stealing, adultery) is punishable. However, Jews have a court system to determine if the accusations against a defendant are accurate. It is also extremely rare for a court to impose a death sentence under a Jewish court. Please provide a verse that states that one who commits apostasy is punishable by death in the Torah. Like I said, the verse he quoted does not speak of apostacy.

The bible says it is the Goodness of God that turns men to repentance and that we are no longer under the law but under grace. Once you receive Jesus Christ you have eternal life which guarantees you heaven and the more and more you have a relationship with him the more you are transformed to live and reflect the Christian life/experience. SIMPLY PUT WE DON’T LIVE BY DO’s and DONT’s BUT BY THE GRACE OF GOD.

I would remind anyone who thinks Christianity wouldn't put a person to death for religious reasoning to only look back 200 years ago when people were burned at the stake, and the only reason it stopped was because the command not to do it anymore came from the top; the state handing down the law of the land.

There is also Mosab Hassan Yousef, the son of one of the current leaders of Hamas who also denounced Islam and converted to Christianity. There is quite alot more people who have done so. Just not very publicized.
