Ayyy that really long one about the several options for a college dorm room was mine - thanks for the feature and the input! I actually ended up going for none of my initial considerations - I was about to get the TD4, but shipping and taxes put it around $515 when all was said and done, but EBay ran a 15% off 1-day coupon, and I was able to get a used TD11 for $575! Thanks for the help!

Some lingering questions that I had were answered today. I wanted to let you know that I changed my mind about external triggers. I decided to buy the Jobeky ekit. . I looked at installing triggers myself then decided it was too much for me. The Jobeky kit is inexpensive and stylish. I’ve decided on my setup. I’m also in love with the Field cymbals. I haven’t decided on the module. I need 15 inputs. 7 drums, ride, hihat, and 4 crashes and 2 Roland pd8 pads. The only module that I’m convinced that can do that is the TD 30. I have ezdrummer 2 now but will definitely crossgrade to SD3. I’m buying a Gibraltar drum rack for my acoustic Mapex and the sizes of both sets are the same. This way I can use the rack for both kits. You can take credit for my decisions in choosing this equipment. Thank you for your advice and for sharing your knowledge. Greg

Hey Justin, I like the format. Especially if that you made clear what’s your opinion and what is a fact. I agree with you an that TD-4 set. 450 is a great a deal for this set if the condition is good. However, about the ATV ride. I spent some time with the Roland digital ride on the weekend. For me it is way ahead of the ATV ride. Regarding the RT-30s: I was actually surprised on how well they trigger. I wish there was a version of them that would be inside the pad.
@65Drums6 жыл бұрын
I value your opinion the ride because I know you an ATV Ride. I've just used the ATV ride cymbal on 3 different drumsets all with the aD5 module. I don't specifically know how well it performs with a Roland module, but my experience with the aD5 was always very very good. But of course I did say in the video that the cy18 was objectively better.

Hey Justin. I think about having these mesh heads and triggers on my dw kit all the time. The thing is buying another kit for practice isn’t in the budget right now. You know. It takes money to party. And we have twins on the way. So hey. I bought these drums to use. If I need to get a new kit some years down the road, then I’ll cross that bridge when I get there haha

Hi Justin, long time lurker here, love your channel! I'd like to know your take on a decision I'm having trouble to make. I own a td-11k for 2.5 years now and I've grown dissatisfied with the FD-8 and lack of bell on the ride. I'm thinking about investing some money on a CY13R and maybe a cheap 3rd party VH-11 ripoff, the lack of hi hat and bell can't continue. I recently saw your vids about silent acoustic drums (zildjian l-80 and remo silentstroke) and I'm thinking about maybe selling the td-11 and switching to a silent kit, I miss the acoustic feel. I live in an apartment so space and noise (and money) is an issue, but I've had no problems with the e-drums and the neighbours so far. Any advice would be of great help. Keep up the good work!

I do like this concept. You should definitely do this more often. I have so many questions. Here's my question. If I wanted to spend around $700 on an Alesis drum set, I could either get a used DM10 and change out the heads or I could get a brand new Command. The DM10 has nice big drum pads but the module is getting kind of old. Is the module on the Command any better? I know you can upload samples and I guess that's kind of cool but I'm not sure if I'd use that very much. It mainly comes down to the quality of the module sounds but the large drums is a plus. What do you think? Yes, I know there are quality concerns with Alesis but for whatever reason, those all mesh heads are appealing to me. I can't imagine going back to rubber pads.

Great vid as always I have an issue. My drummer Roland TM6 and uses side stick and rim shot. He never uses centre for snare. The problem is that when he hits rim shot all I get is side stick. How can I resolve this problem. Otherwise it means that I can’t use the snare trigger. Thanks for your help.

your boi Efrain everybody is gonna tell u not to buy it but I absolutely love mine. It is like one of the largest electronic kits though so keep that in mind

Timothy Krier thank you for that but does the hihat work fine
@yohancesarmiento34766 жыл бұрын
your boi Efrain on alesis’ youtube channel they showed off firmware update 1.4 which claims to fix things like loading times and the hi hat playability issues, check it out yourself on alesis’ channel
@matthewmore68936 жыл бұрын
Honestly I prefer the alesis strike module over the pearl mimic pro. They just released v.1.4 update that has 15 new acoustic kits and fixes the hi hat and slow load times. If u buy the full kit with pads get guitar center pro coverage
@TheBonsaiRonin6 жыл бұрын
Loading times still suck on my v1. 3 but hihat works fine. I'm just a metal drummer though so my hihat skills aren't super technical.
