I don't know if people realize this, but your video production & editing skills are superb👌 (Have you considered a career in TV/Film production ? ). Back to the subject on hand. I was fixing to buy a 2nd E-Drum kit for under $2500 for another location (Already have the nice Roland TD27 KV2). Almost bought the Alesis Core for $1999. But I always check your channel before I buy😎. Thanks to you I found out that Alessis module is literally falling apart. Your advice about avoiding that kit was spot on ! So a little awhile ago, Just saw the Ef-Note 3-B style for $2199. Seems like a great deal. So I come here, and whaddaya know, Justin's put out a whole show on Ef-Note ! Yay 😛Thanks man. I think I'm going to buy that kit. Great job

Great review as always. I just purchased a TD716 kit, and I'm a bit disappointed. I'm coming from a TD30 which -- in some ways I think it's better. I'd like to hear your opinion. The video is long, but there are timestamps so you can skip the parts you already know. kzbin.info/www/bejne/i6DYn3uti5Vmd5I

Hey I need help! I just bought a used strike pro se off marketplace but it didn't have the hi hat stopper/rest thing that it sits on. I've got the spring and hi hat controller port but I am missing the clutch and stopper. Is the clutch the same as any other hihat stand?

I’ve been looking for an answer to this very simply question but I have yet to find someone explaining how to solve this issue: KV2 (the combo I have) has a snake cable which includes both hi-hat inputs (hi-hat and hi-hat control); VH-10 REQUIERES 2 stereo cables to work properly, but the snake cable has a MONO hi-hat control cable. Someone told me I could just “upgrade my hi-hat” instead of returning my kit and getting a KVX (Amazon seller conned me - at least the “price” was of a KV2 - but he announced it as a KVX2… (MOTHERF…) Obviously, things will never work as intended when you’re missing half the “computing information” for the hi-hat to work properly. How does one “upgrade” a KV2 to a KVX2? Do I need to purchase a snake cable that is specific to the KVX2…? Cause obviously the drum module is the same so there shouldn’t be any issues there (TD-17). I am only posting this rant here in hope that someone KNOWS how to actually connect this VH-10 to a TD-17 from a KV2 combo (cause I’m guessing the snake cable that comes with the KVX models DOES indeed have two stereo cables for the hi-hat and hi-hat control). I’ve tried many things, and I’m about to spend yet another freaking hundo on a snake cable that I HOPE will have stereo control hi-hats. If you know I’m on the wrong path, I’d appreciate your advice before I pull the wallet-trigger once again to account for the stupidity of my Amazon seller (probably not stupid, just intentional scammer). Damit Roland seriously💀

EFnote 5 owner here. You can’t go wrong with efnote. Best acoustic sounding drums, best hihat in the biz, and the CEO answers every question and issues in FB. Best value for money if you are serious about E Drums.

Hi Justin. Are these pads quieter than Yamaha Textured cellular silicone pads? And are we supposed to hit the crash on the white section to get a regular crash sound or can it be hit in the edge? Thanks

Can one use a bluetooth transmitter to transmit music (e.g., sportify) into a drum module (that has no bluetooth like the Yamaha DTX6K3-X) to play along? Or would that have latency as well?
@WilliamBennerJr2 күн бұрын
I just purchased a TD716 and I must say I'm disappointed. I counted 245 sounds built in, not including any from the cloud that are loaded into "slots". TD30 came with 80 kits and a full 1100 sounds. TD716 only 70 kits. Also, my opinion is that the TD30 kits were more usable out of the box. Every snare hit on the TD71 sounds the same. This was not the case for TD30.

Hello! Great channel. What kit would you go for if you had about 2000 dollars to spend? I'll consider all brands. Don't have any super specific requirements, but the kick drum needs to take a double pedal with ease. Thanks!

Very interesting video. Could you tell me which of these drums has the best "feel" that would translate to a real kit? It's the number one thing holding me back from pulling the trigger on an e-kit. I REALLY want to make sure that what I practice on my e-kit will translate as much as possible to my acoustic kit playing. If not an EFNOTE kit, is there another brand you feel has this?

I love the look of that mountiing hardware on the 3 series. Like the cheapest kit looks best to me. I'd love that kit, with the kick off the newer one. So I get that symetrical look from those killer tama tilt looking stands. That's just so cool looking, and you lose it, on the other 3 series kits. Oh, and yeah, that complete set.. DAYUM! Finally a kit that looks almost just like my acoustic rig... Need a couple more of, well each cymbal lol.
@RB-rf8rf5 күн бұрын
The 3X is one of the best bang for buck kits along with the KV2. The optical hihats are impressive. Once efnote go digital we'll have a real dogfight at the top.
@s4ns3985 күн бұрын
for the 3X is it possible to expand with the china cymball without losing a crash? do they have boult in sound for chinas and FX cymball in the drum module? (in the video its using the FX cymball with the 3x but i didnt find amy information about it)
@RB-rf8rf5 күн бұрын
You could use the bell from crash 2 for the china as a single zone which is all you really need for a china I believe.

@@bingminmin Yes, you get a head zone and a rim zone on all the drums. The snare has a third dedicated cross stick zone. That said, the sound library in efnote kits is extremely limited in auxiliary percussion. If you want anything more than tambourine, cowbell, and claves, be prepared to import your own sounds.
