In Australia we love property and many Australians aspire to own their own home...but what if owning a home isn't better than renting?
In this video I explore scenarios where owning your home may not be better than renting and what you could do with the money you would be using to buy a property, instead.
While you can compare house price uplift with the increase in value of other assets you could hold instead... will there ever be a monetary value for the emption associated with owning your own home? I'd be interested to hear your thoughts in the comments, would you opt to rent and invest your money elsewhere or do you aspire to own your primary residence?
