Hello, I recently started stacking about 2 months ago, i have bought 149oz of silver so far, i recently bought 18 oz of silver round and yesterday was the first time i bartered with silver, my friend who has a gym membership can bring a free guest, he has been inviting me to the gym everyday to go with him and I accept the offers, I hate the fact that I feel like i use him for free gym, so I decided to give him a silver round for letting me join him, also a really good family friend helped us with a clogged sink, he a plumber and was able to fix the issue in minutes, he did not want to accept any type of payment, so I once again decided to use silver, I gave him a silver round and he was amazed, I wanted to share this with everyone so we can begin to barter with silver

I got a 10 oz bar from US gold Bureau at spot for being a first time customer. That was the start of my stack. Since then I’ve been opening my position in silver with 1 oz rounds. Premiums are high right now, but I’m not planning to sell any of those for the next 20-30 years, so I don’t care. Silver will likely be $100-1,000 by then, so it doesn’t matter.

I say buy what u like at a good price no expenciven stuff and and set a budget .. today I got two 1oz bars at great picture before they change in price a 1 oz Silver Bar Nadir Metal Rafineri NMR - .999 Fine in Assay and a 1oz Indian buffalo bar..

I've bought 100oz of ASEs in 2020, 100oz of constitutional in 2021, and 100oz of silver rounds in 2021-2022. Not sure what to buy next but plan focusing on gold for a while.

@@SmartSilverStacker I posted before finishing the video! I agree on the appeal of the heft of a nice 10 oz. bar as a treasure chest novelty. I buy the 10 oz. Academy Stacker bars when I can afford one and then store them in a tan Pelican box. I’ve also got Sr. Poucho (gift from Fish) in there holding my four 2 oz. little chunks from Monarch Precious Metals. You turned me on to those in an earlier video last year.

The type of silver means nothing to me. (However, I do not buy any 40%). If it’s 90%+ I’ll buy it if it’s cheaper than everything else at the moment. Example, right now I wouldn’t touch an ASE with a 10 foot pole but many rounds, coins and bars r much more reasonable. Even with these current prices and premiums I still believe silver is unbelievably cheap, but more ounces for my fiat is what I do.

I'm the weirdo that buys ASE still lol. I get mine from a lsc for a lower premium than the online dealers. I like bars too, but I'd rather have my Silvers in 1 oz peices. I don't mind premiums that much because I'm a long term holder and believe in the metals. EDIT: I stack silver dimes too for shtf scenario

Well done video! I appreciate the way it is obvious that you've planned out what you're going to say and have a smooth presentation. I like stacking sovereign bullion coins only nowadays. I have a few tubes of generic rounds from when I first began. As a youth in the late 60s, I bought a 3 oz JMC Maple Leaf poured bar at the big coin store in downtown Chicago. I had fun looking it up recently as you suggested... it's worth a bit more than the $10 I spent back then.

Just bought 16 , 1/4 oz USCG .999 Ag bars at my LCS for $28 an oz with airtights.. you can't go wrong with second hand fractional silver or gold as far as that goes..great content thanks!

I buy it all because I like it all. I have stayed away from ASE for a while simply because of the premium but I also just bought a Libertad so there goes to expensive premium argument. If you're looking for the best bang for the buck generally speaking 1oz rounds and 10oz bars is where it's at. Junk silver is great because it's fractional. But the premium on it has gone up to. There's less of it on the market then there was 20 years ago. More people are holding on to it instead of selling it. Out of the 400 oz I've bought this year 300 of it are 10 oz bars. The rest of it are coins that I like. Maple Leafs are always at the top of my list.

Try Germania Mint silver bars. you show Scottdale Mints bars but they are the highest out there compared to all others Hero Bullion has the best prices and Germania Mints are 999.9 fine. Kangaroos are priced well at 9999 also

I buy what I like, whether it is a Bar, Coin, and/or Round. If it is visually appealing and the right price to me, I just add to the cart. I don’t buy too many multiples of the same thing because then it kind of boring. But also because it those private moments when all stackers sit with their stack and while we sit and look over our stack, it does bring back memories some joyful some sad. After all “Stacking Precious Metals” is a journey with a start point and eventually an end point. So you remember the mistakes due to inexperience or becoming emotional about a certain product and purchasing it blindly and your successes when you buy something that turns out to be a success, even though at the time you didn’t know. Anyway to each their own.

I'm sticking with U.S. coins that have some numismatic value in addition to the silver value, such as the 90% silver proof Roosevelt dimes, state and atb quarters and Kennedy half dollars. Get them as close to spot as possible. These coins have held their value and even increased in some cases, even though silver has fallen almost $10/oz. over the last few years. I'm avoiding the new .999 coins (since 2019) because it seems they are selling for too much premium over spot, at least right now.

Go for 1oz Silver rounds shop around get the best price .The is all about what is the easiest to sell to a coin shop ,that is what you should stack !

Diversity in your stack is good. That said, skew w 1 oz rounds and junk silver. Have lesser amount of eagles. Keep some bars for their reduced premiums. The 100 oz bar is ok if you anticipate a larger purchase for a SHTF- lite event. It's worth noting that currently oil and commodity prices are rising much faster than silver. This may mean silver is a buy right now even though spot has increased. Track the oil to silver ratio over time. There are clues out there.

@@SmartSilverStacker probably a more direct and personal way to look at this is the retail gasoline price to the retail 1 oz silver round price. Right now on SD a round is $28.95 and gasoline w my discount is about $3.29/gal. This is 8.8 gals/oz. Gasoline is climbing much faster than silver. The same ratio can be done w other living expenses esp grocery items you regularly purchase. Silver is being supressed.

Right now, rounds. The premium is low, and as you said, they're divisible. As I continue to accumulate them, at some point I'll probably switch to bars. It's like having small bills for day to day purchases, but at some point you need larger bills for larger purchases. If SHTF, I don't want to be pushing a wheelbarrow full of rounds to buy livestock or whatever.😊

I think it depends what you are trying to accomplish and how much you want to buy in a single purchase. If you are buying $200 buy generic rounds. If you have $2,000 buy generic bars.

You might get the premium on the eagles back, you might not. Right now, premiums are pretty high. I prefer to stack the lowest premium sovereign coins or generic rounds myself.

Probably not. Different pawn shops will pay you different rates, so you have to shop around. Many will rip you off. Find a coin/bullion store to transact at if you can, rather than a pawn shop. Always shop around multiple stores. Thanks for watching!
