Just got mine in today! It is absolutely gorgeous for sure. The start and select buttons seem to be more raised than the other colors which a lot of reviewers complained about how hard it was to press.

I just got mine 2 weeks ago and I'm impressed I had a rp3+ but there was something wrong with it Retroid wouldn't replace it either. I gave them another chance and I'm super happy I did this thing lives in my bag

Great video bud, I like your review style. Mmmm I have the Clear green on the way. I'm still not too sure. I had the original 1st gen Retroid 2. I loved the way it looked but I didn't find it user friendly or comfortable at that time. So I am expecting a better experience this time around.

The Retroids don’t ship with games (which is ethically the correct way to do things), you can then buy an external SD card (it doesn’t have to be the most expensive fast cards) and the load Roms and bios on there.

how much of a difference is there in terms of performance from the 3G ram to the 4G ram? I intend to play some ps1 resident evil and fiddle with some gamecube with low expectations

Hey there. The only difference I can see from my gameplay and others using the 4GB is that the 3gb sometimes takes a while to load a game.

In performance no. Shoulder buttons are far superior. RG405M still has a pretty good controls.

Well the 4gb ram version is $20 more. But also has a larger SSD. In my testing the 3gb version is performing surprisingly well but is it worth the saving?

i have been bit conflicted ... been looking for 4:3 / 1:1 device with HDMI out and Blueetooth to compliment my 35xx and RP3+ for "couch coop retroplay" (so BT + HDMI out is a must) ... dont really need anything above ps1 bit conflicted between RP2S and RGB30

Hmmm... well quality-wise the RP2S is in another league. But you aleady have an RP3+ so maybe get the Powkiddy as a fun extra device :-)

HI Adin Hoope you are fine ,I have installed a 128 gb Sd card on rpflip as internal storage. But when connected to a PC i cannot access both the storage access of rp flip & sd card Even when selected file to transfer it just shows the SD card and not internal storage. Any help on the above?

Hmm, I never actually used the internal storage option. Have you connected to the Retro Handhelds Discord yet? There are lots of guys there who should be able to help.

It's a great design 100% agree, I'm patiently waiting for T618 under R1500 or 75% PS2 Compatibility for R2000. Maybe perhaps even a Retroid 2S+ with a 16:9 / 16:10 display with that 75% PS2 Compatibility That's when we'll know we'd have peaked as a society.

It’s quite impressive the polish they put on everything from the packaging, the case to the build of the device itself, especially amongst all these chinese brands. I’m not drawn by the chuckiness of it when compared to the RP3+, but the clear black looks stunning indeed, never seen one with these kind of "depth of field" inside the device. I’m always surprised by the suddenness of your video endings, but with time I find them quite funny and unique, it add to your personality. Is it a conscious node to your ADHD?

If you're mainly using this for emulation purposes and not Android gaming, the RAM won't matter much.
