28:36 my take on this : i mean its his choice to make every shoot perfect but then there is nothing retro about it nor it is youtube. i prefer youtube to be very minimal edited very minimal scripted. talking about the design of the product ( its a head line of the script ) but the content that you will say should be the thing you actually feel about it if the d pad is bad and why it is bad it should be explain in non scripted manner.

The GKD Pixel and GKD Mini are separate devices - the GKD Mini is a plastic devixe with rounded corners released a while ago. Just commenting because you refer to it as both names. Sorry if it's already been pointed out.

I’m with Shem, news websites in particular are completely impossible to read with pop up upon pop ups and ads between sections so you can’t even tell if the article is over or not, or even whether the article itself is an ad. I can get onboard with less talk about KZbin but this podcast will always be about the person I am interviewing. We will always talk about handhelds, but I like finding out about their gaming life etc. I will try merge these ideas as I move forward but if I just do handhelds talk then you may as well watch the retro handhelds podcast instead, they’re better at all that.

I tend to like your content, but I couldn't make it through this one sadly. It's in no way a reflection on you or your guest and maybe I've misinterpreted what this podcast is actually about, but the "content creator" talk is a snooze fest. I understand that getting two youtubers together to chat inevitably gravitates towards talking about making youtube videos, but I'm guessing most of your audience are not content creators and find it unrelatable or uninteresting. Hopefully this isn't coming off the wrong way and is constructive to some degree. Feel free to toss it out the window if I'm off base as well.

Question, open for anyone to answer - I ordered one of these from Amazon, and it arrived with the box already opened and the device had debris on it and smudges on the screen. Is this how they're normally shipped? I work in automotive tech manufacturing, and our standards are pretty high (clean rooms, clean environment), so I thought it was a little strange to get a device of this cost arriving in that condition.
@adinwalls2 күн бұрын
No. It’s possible customs opened it but if it’s from Amazon you should have had to deal with that. Maybe send it back.

Thank you for the quick response. I actually just ordered it directly from Retroid, and it ended up being cheaper than Amazon, even after adding some accessories and shipping. Looking forward to messing around with this device. @@adinwalls

I bought this. And I bought the machenike g5 pro, both for 20 bucks which is insane. The g5 is a MUCH better controller. I'd say.. if you can find a pro controller for less than 30 bucks(which is pretty common), you'll get way more value. But I've seen these go for as low as 14euros. If you just want a cheap controller that just works and looks fire,. Then you can't really go wrong with this one.

$25!? Jesus! Given the Canadian dollar is so bad compared to the US, I think I'm gonna pick this up! BUT! Is the rumble that bad? For me it's kinda important since I love my racing games and the feedback I get from em. Back paddles not really a deal breaker for me since I have none on my Xbox One S controller. Great review once again. Oh I gotta ask, your video's always end so abruptly, ever gonna put an outro video or something? Got a Patreon and put some people up there?

I know this is a little late, but I agree. I really like the 4 Pro, but the ergonomics are what have been holding me back. I don't really care about a better screen.
@grant58646 күн бұрын
I think I probably would have preferred the RP4 Pro due to the extra power (I fall under scenario #2 due to having a Steam Deck and MM+) but the difference in pricing between the two forced my hand into getting the RG556. RG556 I was able to find for $155 via AliExpress, while the cheapest I could get the RP4 Pro was $240 from Retroid's site (cheapest shipping option to my state cost $40 -_-). The small difference in library playability of the PS2/GC wasn't worth an extra 50%/$85 in price to me. With neither being exactly endgame (Odin 2 isn't endgame for me either) I am cool with kicking the can down the road.

Wow, who would have thought that a KZbin series about retro handhelds and emulation could make you tear up :p I loved the conversation about how an addictive personality doesn't always equal negative addictions like drugs or alcohol. We can become addicted to nearly anything, honestly. When I quit drinking, I became addicted to healthy eating and exercise. My weight was already dropping due to lack of alcohol, but I ended up blowing out my knee because of the amount of running and exercising I was doing. You two are great and I want to thank you both for everything you do!
