Should I drain seroma after plastic surgery?

I don’t have a seroma… yet. My surgeon has me in a faja, board, and binder. However the fluid is building up under where the drain tube was laying inside which also happens to be where my incision is. So it’s like along the incision line right above my pubic bone. The nurse placed the board in front of the pubic bone (mine sticks out past my abdomen). So I don’t believe the board is applying pressure to where the fluid is. They said the board edge shouldn’t be on my incision line. I’m wondering if seromas can even be avoided in my case at all. I’m going to be immobile from Thursday (that just past) till Monday. On Monday, they will do a tummy check, I can shower there, and then they will wrap me back up. If I have a seroma they will drain it in office. How do you deal with patients with pronounced pubic bones after tummy tucks?

How long would you put pressure on that area,, after your seroma was dreamed?

Depends on how large the seroma was. Hopefully you are wearing a compression garment after surgery anyway
