So should I go wireless on bass? I'm sure that is a question that many musicians would have, given that most gigs are stationary, but there are times when you may have to move.

Wireless is awesome for instruments, but here's a pro tip... Don't cheap out on a wireless system. They're weak and they play in the same frequency range (2.4GHz) as cell phones and routers. You can hear the Xvive already struggling a bit right at the beginning of the video at 12-14 seconds. And getting 30 feet away is much different at home than it is on a live stage with a crowd of people. I've tried a few of these small/inexpensive dongle style wireless systems, and they're plagued by drop outs when your signal is competing with all the mobile devices and even the wifi router for mixers. The last one I tried claimed to have four antennas, but was still 2.4GHz and I couldn't get 5 feet from my amp without dropping the signal. The saying "buy once, cry once" fully applies here: get a wireless in the UHF band. It's more expensive, but you'll be MUCH happier in the long run. 👍👍

I've had U2's for about 3 years and they have worked flawlessly. I know some reviews I've read have stated they they will pick up cell phone interference, but I have never had that problem. I have a lot of electronics in the room that I practice in and I don't get interference from any of it, that is, until I bought a new amp. I've had the amp for about 2 months now and one day I was practicing and I had my guitar in my lap and I rolled my chair over to my computer. I was scrolling through presets in my muti effects processor software when I noticed a tiny little hum. At first I couldn't tell where it was coming from and it was almost undetectable. It was only because the room was very quiet at the time that I even was able to hear it. When I realized it was coming from the amp speaker. Then I noticed the little hum would stop. It would start again when I moved the mouse and it would stop when I wasn't using the mouse. So, it does appear to be picking some kind of interference from the wireless mouse. But, like I said, it's almost undetectable. I could always use a usb mouse instead if I really wanted to, but I don't think it's necessary. In all fairness, i do not perform with them in any capacity. I am a bedroom player and I'm in relatively in close proximity. I'm never more than 15 or 20ft away from the amp. So there is that. I just hate tripping over cords. To me the benefits far outweigh this issue.

We love the freedom of wireless. The XVive U2 sometimes has a warble in the sound but maybe that's just ours.

I have one of these and they can be a little fickle with the different preamps out there. It doesnt like my sadowsky, but works well with my fender and brubaker.

Does it work with active bass? I have one from another chinese brand and it does not work with both my active basses. I makes an horrible continuos hug frequency nose

Would anyone wanna purchase my Xvive U2? It's now faulty, perhaps you can change the battery, or idk exactly what's wrong, but quite certain it can be fixed. Just that, in my area (Malaysia, Penang), no one is interested to fix it for me. So, please, anyone, offer me a small price, I'll send it to you. =)

Not if your router for your wireless mixer is 5.8ghz and you are close to it :) In my band two of us use the U2's with no issues.
