I had mine 18 years ago and suffering past 5 years. Overtime fusion caused kyphosis of my neck, severe pelvic floor dysfunction, venous insufficiency and myofascial and nerve pain. If you can avoid the surgery and try scroth therapy first. Understandably you might need the surgery. The surgeons will not tell you about the long term issues most of the time. I also have EDS which was unknown at the time I had surgery.

At what level your fusion is??
@rubystone2502 Жыл бұрын
I know you meant well, but can’t have a fusion removed. You can have the hardware removed once your fusion is complete but the fusion is impossible to remove because it is literally your spine once the bone graft has fused to it

In u r opinion on long term basis what is better to leave curve untreated or get spinal fusion
@sarahlouise40663 жыл бұрын
It’s different for everyone depending on their curve. But for me it was definitely best that I had the spinal fusion, it has allowed me a normal life which I may not of had if I didn’t have the surgery

What type of pain do you experience since having surgery? Our appointment is tomorrow to discuss this
@sarahlouise40662 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late reply, usually ‘aching’ type pain in my lower back that comes on later in the day. Hope your appointment went well

I wish I had seen your vlogs a year ago otherwise I wouldn’t have done the surgery
