SHOULD I QUIT YouTube?

My channel is attacked. Someone has purposefully targeted my videos to lower the retention of my videos and KZbin won't recommend my videos anymore like it used to. These views show up from external sources and they only watch few seconds of my video before closing the video which lowers the retention of my video from 70% to 20%. KZbin won't do anything about this issue. So the question is, should I just quit KZbin?

Hey Jag, definitely don't quit your channel. The External traffic source is often Google Discover, Google News, or automatic indexing in Google Search in the 'videos' section. This happens to us a lot, especially for videos with heavy "search" focus on the titling. Every video you used as an example is a search focused title. Google owns KZbin, so they have full clarity on sources of Google -> KZbin traffic. It's really frustrating, (this happens to us too), but while I wouldn't rule OUT an "attack", it's more likely that it's just folks clicking through, and ditching your video due to time/interest/etc. mismatch. It's annoying because you can't control if you get indexed in search quickly or included in Google Discover. - Kevin

His precious time is squandered here due to the run-amok sabotage, with KZbin FULLY able to combat it (see, they even mark excitedly that 51% of viewers are external sources) but they DO NOT. The engineers already notice (and offer Jag a page) showing that "external sources are 51%!" The engineers CAN recognize and disregard statistics corrupted by external attacks. They choose not to. Makes me very very angry that this great channel I love, is being de-monetized by hackers.

Many of my subscriptions have also strangely been affected in the same way and my user experience has declined drastically. I however do NOT believe in Coincidence or that this is a Random occurrence.

Please, Please, PLEASE don't quit! Since discovering your channel, you are our go to source for gardening info. Our house sits on a modest "in town" lot and with your help, we are learning how to make the most of it. We will be watching for the new channel...can't wait! As for KZbin, we all know they don't care about the creators, the viewers or anyone else unless it is feeding their cash machine. They need some serious competition to bring them back to earth. 😢😢😢 I read the description. "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere." KZbin needs to follow up on your research!!! I'll definitely try to remember to watch fully. Unfortunately, if I save videos to go back and watch them that counts as another view I think. So if I'm going back just to review what I'm learning, stopping the video could be harming the channel as well. So I guess what I can try to do is listen a couple of times, then set my phone down and just let the video finish. Let me know if you can confirm the hypotheticals please. Also I love your dedication to research and ONLY presenting information based on through research and life long skill you've picked up along the way. He's not going to quit. Did you listen to the whole video. His problem is some people put on his video for a few seconds and turn it off, they are from outside sources he said. So he may have been getting attacked by a competitor. The more people like and comment the more likely you get notified when he puts out a new video.

It would not surprise me if it were actually YT that was targeting low algorithms on your videos. I trust them like I trust a politician.
