Should I Use Keyboard Shortcuts on the Microsoft Certification Exams?

Hello Brendan, I just applied to MOS Excel 365-2019 CORE (Friday, the 05th November, 2021) and I followed your wise advise. I used the keyboard for doing some tasks and I got a high score and the only shorcut didn't work was F5, maybe because I took the online exam. Thanks for your great advise.

The ‘CTRL - Z’ shortcut saved me many times during the real exam.

My exam is in the coming week. Just a question...Can we use the "tell me" feature in the Certification Exam??

@chaitanya pushkar you ask a great question. I do not believe that this feature is supposed to be available on the exam. However, I have seen this feature available on a few of my exams. I prepare as if it won’t be there.

My understanding was that you don't get as many points unless you use the ribbon. Is this something that changed?

@jodi Camps I have never heard that before. I’ve been able to earn a few perfect scores on various MOS exams while using keyboard shortcuts.

@@Brendan_Sinclair I have heard about that in the Gmetrix-paid videos. They often say " to keep it safe lets use ribbon" or "it could be that u may not receive full marks for using the shortcut key here". I developed a habit of using shortcut key that enabled me to do some tasks quickly but now the risk of not using the ribbon is pretty much filling me up with anxiety.
