As for the USA (I am also an American citizen) the healthcare sucks because the doctors over prescribe medicine among other stupid things. As for Jordan, Jordan exists because of Israel, not the other way around. Specifically in 1970 the British threw the monarchy to the dogs, but the Americans asked Israel to save King Hussein, which Israel did. Egypt? The US gives aid to Egypt so it won't do to the US opponents (USSR back in the day, Russia, China.) The US needs stability of the Suez Canal. And Israel helps the US. As for the US aid, it is problematic and Israel is thinking of turning away the "aid" due to US interference in Israeli internal affairs.

I can see where you're coming from, but most European NATO partners have had boots on the ground in unpopular wars the US dragged them into. I remember I once saw Tucker Carlson ask in an interview why his son should fight for Montenegro, and the reason is because some Montenegrin's son died fighting for the US. (Montenegro only suffered 1 death in Afghanistan, but they also have only 0.2% the population of the US). Israel is different though, and I can understand why you wouldn't want to get involved abroad. After all, our soldiers died because you did intervene in foreign countries.

@@BarneyFife1776 It depends on the type of conflict. The most important lesson from vietnam is that a guerilla war cannot be won purely through force. The US didn't care about ROE too much, they just counted up all deaths as combatants (which is why weapons recovered from airstrikes were usually far fewer than the amount of supposed combatants killed), and it worked the wrong way. The VC had popular support and they could use that to hide among the population, and they could just vanish the second any major concentration of force showed up, and new VC would pop up wherever those troops had been pulled from. ROE were tightened after that and at this point in time, NATO countries have the most effective counter insurgency strategy in existence, even though it eventually failed in Afghanistan. NATO is a defensive alliance though. No member state is obligated to help any other unless they want to, and there is 0 obligation to help non-members. Aid to Ukraine just comes from freedom loving democratic countries that wish to help for another young, freedom loving democracy, NATO isn't forcing you to help.

What part of the passage in Romans 11 are you referring to? And as Christians I don’t believe we have any room to “agree” with the war. Israel is on trial in The Hague (ICJ) for genocide against the Palestinians in Gaza. They were just found guilty by UN Human Rights Council for the war crimes of extermination, using starvation as a weapon of war, deliberately targeting Palestinian men and *boys*, torture, murder, etc. They’ve dropped more bombs on Gaza these past 10 months than all recent wars combined. Gaza is smaller than Detroit. Gaza is a population of 50% *children*. Israel was just found guilty in the highest court in the world (ICJ - The Hague) for apartheid (forced segregation, dehumanization, denying some human rights, etc) and an *illegal* occupation of Palestine. Israel was just put on the UN’s list of countries responsible and guilty of committing grave injustices and harm to children (on the list with Russia, Hamas, Sudanese Rebels, etc). Israel has murdered 16,000+ children, injured an additional 34,000+ more, orphaned 20,000+ children all in the last 10 months. I could go on. Anyone truly following Jesus and being obedient to Him (over their own leanings and political allegiances) could *not* support or “agree” with such wickedness. And on top of it all, there are Christians in Gaza who Israel is bombing and murdering. To “agree” with their slaughter, or any innocent persons slaughter in Gaza, is the most ungodly, anti-Christ thing of all. It shames the name of Christ before the world. The modern state of Israel is not biblical Israel (Romans 9:6-8). So, there’s nothing to be thankful to the modern state of Israel for when it comes to Jesus. Every single person on this planet who has saving faith should be praying for all people to come to faith who do not know Christ. We should be thankful to God alone, not a people group 🙏🏽❤️

Focus in on Romans 11:13-32, but especially 28-32 as a counter to your point about Romans 9:6-8. People in the comments are not respected Romans 11:20-21 "Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but tremble. For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either." There is still a gratitude that we should have for the Jewish people and my heart as a Christian cries out that they would accept Jesus as the Messiah (Isaiah 53). My desire is for Romans 11:28-32. The fact that God uses Israel to refer to all of those who are saved does not negate God's promises to the Jewish people, as per Romans 11:25-32, which states that while the Jews are (partially) hardened against God that his promises for their people are as irrevocable as his promises to us. We see that in Ezekiel 37:21-23. This cannot be a reference to Christianity since it refers to the physical location of Israel and salvation coming AFTER being brought there, and God is not bringing all Christians there before their being saved. You see similar in Isaiah 35, where the nation of Israel is a desert that becomes full of fruit (again, with physical locations and neighbors listed). It was not a desert back in OT times and was quite fruitful already, but it became a desert after centuries of desolation and war and has only recently become the Middle East's number 1 fruit producer. All that to say, there is ample evidence for True Israel to refer to the Church and yet God still has a plan for the Jewish people. These are not contradictory.

IT is not a spiritual group, since it is a caste system (Israel-Levites-Cohanim). You are a Jew if you are born to a Jewish mother. If it was a spiritual group, the Samaritans would be "jews." Someone can convert into Judaism, but as Naomi had to do, they must disassociate with their former national group, and only then become part of the Jewish (Israelite) nation. Western idea of religion is different. It is a spiritual group. However most "religions" are ethnic religions such as Druze, Jews, Sikhs, ect.
