the answer is yes Also DX9/UT aren’t releasing under KO’s. They never got shut down, they came out and said their designer just left so they aren’t making anymore G1 Stuff outside of re-issues.

Kinda reminds me of Chigurh. Alt mode wise is on a small size for a space shuttle compared to Fanstoys Thomas. But boy on robot mode, dude is massive and bulkier. Thanks for the video, I sure am convinced now. Been waiting a while too to get this since Emgo reviewed it years ago. Had almost every version of him from G1, to classics (with protector armor), Power of the Primes to even Kingdom. Gonna be great.

Carry is the best choice for mp Rodimus. I'm not a mp guy unless its chug type third party mps , kingdom Rodimus is by far the best chug Rodimus thus far.

Hasbro clearly went into their Rodimus with two main goals: 1. Scale 2. To recreate the G1 toy in a modern style I don't own the figure in this review, I don't really go for third party stuff these days in terms of figures, mainly because most of them tend to be MP class or legends class and its not what I'm looking for in figures, I rather have something more like the mainline releases, deluxe, voyager, thus I lost interst in third party stuff outside of upgrade kits or gap fillers

This is my favorite Rodimus figure. Idk I just didn't like the idea of paying a high price for Hot Rod and a box I much prefer the whole integration this figure brings, the only thing I'd truly complain about would be a removable matrix

I had and loved this figure back when it first came out. I only sold it cause it didn't fit in my collection when I moved back in 2017. It's a really great figure and sooo many props for actually transforming into the FULL ALT MODE. Fuck that combining nonsense from all the official figures. I'm a big proponent of "just cause the G1 toy did it badly doesn't mean it should always be that way"

yeah dx9 stuff getting reissued is how i got both my blitz and astro and i legit might pick this figure up i don't like hotrod but this figure looks nice af also those stickers are a tfsafari thing dx9 doesn't include stickers and in my opinion they should have different prices for the classes so smaller figures in a class are cheaper they could add - and + to the end of the class name so that whilst they're in the same class they do actually have the proper costs

Btw the bottom of the black doors on sentinel go underneath the red bits, just push the wheels sideways and that should allow the doors to swing in

Oh shit. I didn’t know DX9 was reissuing this!!! Also, they aren’t necessarily knocking things off. Sometimes they sell the CAD files to another distributor who will handle the reissue, often with less paint and slight modifications. Peru Kill had this done twice.

My brother has la hire and Peru kill ko. Peru kill is an amazing figure that pulls off an mpm figure that is still somehow fun to flip back and forth between modes. La hire has some top notch engineering but isn’t as intuitive. It makes up for that with die cast parts and an incredible robot mode that poses really well

Weird comment section here. People are saying Kingdom Vs Carry as if Carry can stand in a mainline collection when it's meant for Masterpiece scale, lol. That aside, I see merits of an all-in-one transformation and Carry is amazing in this regard and all your points here really work wit me as well. If I were to say Masterpiece Rodimus Vs Carry, I'd probably say Carry. Kingdom Rodimus, however would have to transform into a very small truck to be in the same scale as he is now in robot mode, which wouldn't work. Hasbro would have to completely rengineer the figure to do that. I don't think Hasbro hit the ball out of the park with Kingom Rodimus, mainly because the trailer, IMO doesn't integrate as well with the cab. The trailer should have been shorter and the cab needed to sit futrher in for better wheel placement and a more compact look. The cab section is pretty much perfect however.

When I look at this, I see a concept car, a cargo truck, now don't quote me on this, but I think this is a steinwinter supercargo, its abit of a stretch, but I think it might be true. The steinwinter was made in 1983, conveniently trailing the show by a year, and the movie by 3. Along with that, there's certain characteristics too, such as the trailer over cab, the comical scale, and so on. Only differences I can note is the hood and the over carriage, in the steinwinter, it goes all the way, but in rodimus, it doesn't, too with that the rodimus toys flaps over the body for full coverage, while the truck doesn't, as it pivots for easier turns. And for the hood, on the steinwinter, its alot more steep of an edge, but with rodimus, its pretty shallow. Differences aside, we might have a case, given that maybe they animated it from earlier drawings, or such, as animated movies don't get made in a year. Done.

Kingdom Rodimus looks much better in robot mode. His chest isn’t as awkwardly flat, arms are better proportioned and it has better articulation. Also that face is just horrid on this one (though I know a lot of people don’t like the kingdom head). Would’ve been a real disappointment for them to sacrifice kingdoms amazing robot mode just to integrate a trailer that was never meant to be integrated. This figure was good for its time but it really shows it’s age, the comparison really made it look bad, especially for $150. This reminds me of like a big chug figure while the kingdom definitely hits that “mini MP” tag everyone has been throwing around. Seems like a decent figure but with the 86 hotrod and kingdom Rodimus giving us better representations then takara or Fanstoys, this thing just doesn’t have a dog in the race.

As much as I enjoyed the movies since 1 to 4 other than the Unicron Trilogy, Beast Wars and Animated; that's the worst preference for a character I've seen, Hot Rod's design wasn't much to write about since he was basically a redesigned Bumblebee like Cliffjumper. Atleast if they gave him flames like Optimus and more colors instead of black and red, then maybe he'd have a better design.
