Should Lakers Keep Cam Reddish For Development?

Lakers signed Cam Reddish last season but had some good and bad moments for Lakers Nation. Defensively, he was excellent and a big help while Jarred Vanderbilt was injured most of the season. Cam Reddish offensive issues are concerning, along with his lack of focus at time. Reddish has all the tools to be an excellent player in the future and Lakers News of keeping him around might not be so bad.

For most of my 31 years of living I've been a die hard Lakers & Hawks fan . And being a Huge Kobe fan I've always like taller wings that can do it all (shoot/score, play defense & use his length to their advantage) so I love Cam Reddish I just wish he would get the right mindset to be apart of a winning team . He's not a go to scorer like he was at Duke so he needs to not just play hard defense CONSISTENTLY but he can definitely still be a bench player that can give you 13 off the bench per game but can't only just be a stand still corner three pt shooter like Darvin Ham had him doing . I'm hoping with the right coaching, Cam can be a key piece for my Lakers winning another Championship 🏆I'm rooting for you Cam 💯💪🏾 STAY DANGEROUS

CAM REDDISH, is the third best defensive player, behind Anthony Davis, and Jared Vanderbilt, by a mile! He will Be the future of the lakers Defense. Bill Russell, use to say, that the foundation of The celtics, was their defense.

Cam was killing it on defense. He helped lakers go on a 5 - 0 run as starter before he got hurt. I would package Dlo and Vando away before touching Cam reddish. Cam has a lot of upside plus his 3 point was good when playing with bron.

I like Cam and want to see if he can be that big athletic wing that can defend and provide some offense. He needs to get better at knocking down the 3 ball…I’m excited to see how he does under JJ. He just needs the find his offensive role and rhythm…Face it some players need good coaching and a good system while some thrive regardless it is what it is…

Keep Cam. He could play the 2 or 3. I see him listed at 6’7”. I make lots of my fellow Laker fans upset when I say this but AR is the one we should be shopping. Teams seem to want him and although I love the guy, he is replaceable.

Jenny not cutting player to cheap to pay 2 Con tracts just carried 14 last yr till signing Giles to late to be playoff eligible stupid front office But that team was just 4 wins out of 5th place possibly doing same thing mavs did. I agree Hamm was the worst coast to have to develop our young players. We really don't know what we have in young players like JHS and Max Christie because Hamn would always have wild ass rotations.

Yes, keep Cam Reddish. I'd rather have him, with his contract, than Vanderbilt with his contract. Reddish offers more dollar for dollar value than Vanderbilt. Vanderbilt is a marginally better defender and makes less mistakes, but Reddish shoots better and offers more scoring.

This is going to leave a sour taste but I wouldn't really care either way if they trade him or keep him. If he stays we at least have another wing to turn to for depth, and people are forgetting how good he was defensively earlier last season. But Cam's athleticism declined after he pulled his groin, and just when he looked like he was coming back to form, James Harden flops, sticks out his foot, and Cam lands on it. All those injuries meant Cam could not get enough burst or lift to make the shots he normally takes, and with this being one of the most spoiled, whiny, and entitled fanbases around everyone now thinks he's the second coming of Tony Snell.

He is injury prone. If he played 75 games a year every year, he'd have his big contract already. As it stands, every year he's played in the league, whenever he starts playing well and gets any positive momentum, he gets hurt. Like clockwork, it happened again this past year on the Lakers. He can't pragmatically improve his game unless he's on the floor, and he can't seem to do that.
