Any other coach would’ve been fired at this point. 0-5 in the playoffs since 2016 giving up an average of 40 points in those games. He’s supposed to be a defensive head coach. 3 game losing streaks after Thanksgiving in five out of the last seven seasons. 3 playoff wins since 2010. Those were against Matt Moore, AJ McCaron and old Alex Smith. He lost to Tebow in the playoffs and let Blake Bortles put 45 up on us. I can go on and on. He’s not a good head coach. He only won a ring because of Cowhers core group of players and Cowhers coordinators.
@CA3iNC16 күн бұрын
Y'all used to say the same thing about Cowher before he won that Super Bowl lmao.
@daccitv465116 күн бұрын
@ except Cowher won division titles and went to AFC championships with Kordell and a Super Bowl with Neil ODonnell. He legitimately got everything out of every team, then once he got his HOF QB he goes to the afc title game right away then wins a SB the next year. Tomlin was carried by Cowhers guys, now that they’re gone he’s getting exposed even more. Guys like Jack Lambert have been very vocal that they don’t like him and he’s not their type of coach. Bradshaw called him a cheerleader. Bradshaw couldn’t stand Chuck Noll, but when he’s picking him over tomlin you know there’s a problem. Tomlins never been an X’s and O’s guy, just a motivator. It shows when it matters.
@CA3iNC16 күн бұрын
@daccitv4651 Except only 13 players were on both SB rosters entirely new o line and when he went back to SB 2 years later it was only 7. The problem is they haven't had a good QB since 3 years before Ben retired. He hasn't had a losing season and consistently wins despite a mediocre roster. If you fire him there's no one you can replace him with that's getting more out of the roster y'all have. I've seen plenty of bad coaches being a Minnesota fan and he's absolutely not one. I understand where you're coming from since you're a fan of the team but you better believe y'all got it good

The Steelers ain’t have Super Bowl expectations because of the players he has.. He has actually been overachieving

@@masonr5677both were head cases that he had to manage. Both have admitted that they wish they could have done better. Don't revise history. A team must come together to win it all. Those two were in it for themselves.

The biggest cope in the history of cope. 🤡 You and dweb. Tomlin is the reason, and the zero branch coaching tree proves it. Tomlin is like Schottenheimer, very good coach, but doesn't have the intangibles to get *his teams* to super bowls. Regardless of talent. And Tomlin's cheerleader style breed a culture which enabled all those players to go mental....Holmes, AB, Bell, Bryant, JuJu, Claypool, DJ, Pickens...etc.

So who are all these Super Bowl appearing Super Bowl winning coaches that they keep comparing him to when he has never had a losing season.
@Mr.Jaquaveon2k17 күн бұрын
Exactly they used one example of a coach leaving and making something out of it. Thats not a valid enough reason for him to leave
@zackhurwitz944117 күн бұрын
Gruden was traded to TB, and beat the raiders in the SB. Tony Dungy was involved in that, he won a SB with his second team (Indianapolis). Eagles moved off of Doug pederson only a few years after winning a SB.

@@SayDatShiii...Because they retired (or in Gruden's case, were fired for unrelated reasons). The point is; a change of scenery can result in SBs.

Other commentors have already pointed out how hypocritical it is to say that McCarthy is on the hot seat while absolving Tomlin of everything.

Mike Tomlin is a great coach. But I keep circling back to what My boss once told me “the worst person to hire is an average worker because he’s not good enough to accomplish great things and not bad enough to fire. Mike Tomlins situation with Pittsburg has made him look average as of late. I think his stats as a coach have been a little padded in recent years. They need to part ways and have new beginnings.
