I loved the crossover playlist suggestion, it just makes so much sense to be able to have your playlists in multiple streaming platforms. would even make people more inclined to be subscribed to more than one service. Imagine being able to listen to playlists on spotify and then just have that become a youtube music video queue. It isn’t even something that big corporations have never done, Nike and Strava make it possible for you to share data between their apps, and even have promotions between their services. Feels like the music industry is lagging behind in their own greed.

Streaming services feel very frustrating. I download music and sometimes I want to share my music with a friend only to not be able to find it. Most recently with Chu Kosaka's 1973 album. But more than the lack of music I have a compulsion to own the music I listen to, do you ever feel that way?

Great stuff as always! I'm a bit surprised you didn't touch on the superior audio quality of Apple Music vs Spotify (can't speak to the others). I've been using Spotify for years and although the interface is MUCH better than Apple, the better sound quality is so evident to my ears (especially in the car) I'm using AM pretty much exclusively now. Edit: Since I'm not an expert I did some research after writing the original comment and it's apparent that there is a LOT of debate about this. Whether it's 'loudness normalization', differing EQ settings between platforms, actual streaming bit rates, or a result of what type of speaker is being used for playback, it appears there's a lot going on here that affect different people's experiences. To be honest I was sad to leave Spotify and if I can manage the settings to sound as good as AM I'll stick with it!

You know what? I plain forgot about the audio quality point! I listens back and thought..how did I forget that! Should be parity across the board. And yeah- the loudness debate surely would be the counter to my argument of having the “original” album recording as the first preference when listening to it.
What if all the world's biggest problems have the same solution?
