‘Should never have happened’: Eric Trump's emotional response to father's assassination attempt

Eric Trump has spoken to Sky News Australia following the assassination attempt on his father, former US president Donald Trump.
The 40-year-old’s interview with Sky News Australia Washington Correspondent Annelise Nielsen follows his first emotional interview with Fox News.
Eric Trump made a number of media interviews on the first night of the Republican National Convention on Monday.
During the convention, Eric officially announced his father as the 2024 Republican presidential nominee.
Eric’s announcement came alongside his brother Donald Jr, wife Lara and half-sister Tiffany.
“On behalf of our entire family and on behalf of 25 delegates in the unbelievable state of Florida, we hereby nominate every single one of them for the greatest president that’s ever lived, and that’s Donald J. Trump, hereby declaring him the Republican nominee for president of the United States of America,” he said.
The convention is being held at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin from July 15 to 18.
Former US president Donald Trump will appear at the RNC but is not expected to speak until he accepts the nomination on Thursday.

A biased judge throwing out an open-and-shut case is hardly 'going his way'. The decision was based on a dubious interpretation of the "Appointments Clause" , and can be potentially reversed in an appellate court. Note the ruling did not say he was innocent of the charges -just that the special counsel's appointment violated the Constitution. If that case, which is so easy and straightforward, ever goes to trial, Trump will be found guilty.
