"NO MORE PROJECT SIGNING", "ARSENAL LOVE PROJECT PLAYERS" Arteta signed ready players like Gabriel, Partey, White, Odegaard, Ramsdale, Tomiyasu, Jesus, Zinchenko, Trossard, Jorginho, Rice, Havertz, Raya, Timber Project player would have been Mudryk who barely played senior football & was raw. That transfer failed & Arteta then signed experienced PL winger Trossard. Or Caicedo who had half a season of top flight football. Another transfer that failed and then became experienced PL midfielder Jorginho. The one key player that can be considered 'project' signing would have been Gabriel who came at age 22 with limited senior football experience. Kiwior is another project CB but is depth signing. Lokonga + Tavares were both project signings, but both were upside cheap buys that were mainly factored by limited budget to fill many positions. That summer the bulk of the budget spent on White, Odegaard, Ramsdale. So 4 project signings, 3 were depth signing. Arteta + club signing policy was to sign young players with experience.
