The reason she's fighting so vociferously against legal prostitution is because she knows if men have more options, she won't be able to keep a man with that personality of hers. Every time he begins to counter or refute her talking points, she interrupts him and changes the subject. Decriminalize prostitution, give the workers rights. That's how you solve a lot of these issues with prostitution.

Brutus Tan yes. It’s called morals and values. Just because making prostitution legal would lessen prostitutes going to jail is a good enough reason to make it legalized isn’t good enough for the American people. When something is wrong, but we legalize it so less people end up in jail doesn’t mean they shouldn’t end up in jail. Prostitution isn’t something we should take lightly and I say we should at least keep that system in place. Fine them if we have too. Instead of jail time. But even with that said if we allow people to do it, this is the culture and society we will create and I for one am against that. @@redrocket604 This is a good question. And it's not because men don't want to be in relationships/married -- the issue is that the mindset of the modern woman is toxic because she is selfish; she has not taken the time to study and understand men, and she refuses to cooperate and submit to her man (because she wants to be in control). Men are opting out of the dating market, or they are traveling overseas to find suitable women better equipped to be wives.

Seema Lyer's arguments are specious and false. Lyer's takes statistical data out of context. Statistical data only represents samples of a population. There are many flaws in statistic data samples which namely are the outliers and skews. For reference look at a chart with statistical data and one can visually see the difference. Besides it is only a sample of the population which only measures that small portion of the geographical area wherever Lyer took her sample statistic data from. At best statistical data samples are unreliable and only measured guesses. Furthermore, statistical data samples do not represent the entire or even the majority of the population of prostitutes. I suspect Lyer has some sort of either a personal vendetta or biases against making prostitution lawful. Tyrants or for the good-of-the whole types always have specious noble or higher cause reasons to violate individual rights without bounds under the aegis of so-called good intentions in order to increase collective authority. Hoff's argument can be given partial credit and consideration, however the wider issue is does anybody else have the right to violate individual rights in the first place? By what authority or rights do governments, agencies, groups, or private individuals have to infringe upon someone else's life, liberty, property, or pursuit of happiness? Where does it express that in the U.S. Constitutional Republic that it is acceptable do infringe on person's civil rights? Those who accept or believe or endorse especially Lyer's erroneous arguments without careful logical analysis deserve the negative consequences that result. Arguments should be invalidated by proper logic, facts, evidence, and no appeal to fallacies of any kind. Melissa Farley is biased and generally opposed to sexual liberation. She is anti-pornography. Farley supports penalizing customers that pay for sex. The question is what is Farley and Lyer or any other opponent of prostitution real motive? I suspect their arguments are superficial or a guise to something deeper.

Her stats mix "all types of prostitution" with the minority of legalized forms. That's misleading from Seema's offensive. But more-so, many of the abused girls who have opted for the legal form, have often resorted to it, because the lack of other means of income in their life. Furthermore, the sexual violence in some of women's' pasts, have numbed the psychologically pressure of going against social norms - that's to say, if prostitution wasn't shunned upon in the first place, than there would be more emotionally healthy woman who took part in it. So Seema's stats are not damning to prostitution. Of course, there are woman who want to leave legal prostitution, but it's mostly because all the shunning from the likes of Seema. If society adopted a mature attitude about it, that wouldn't be an issue. And seriously, she's going to get on Dennis for being a businessman, in a captialist country?!

Of course it should be! When do we as a nation decide it's time for us, as grownups, to be a responsible public, old enough to make our own decisions about what we enjoy without people who have nothing in common with us making up the rules, punishing us through shaming and jail sentences all because they are puritans in a non-puritan society? We have so many laws prohibiting a good time, laws that empower the illegal underground who thrives on money and power which only exists because we pass these insane laws as though life as we know it would cease if they were to let us make our own adult decisions. Prohibition has never worked and only makes the Mafia stronger. Study places where it's legal and see. Look at Colorado pot laws. Other states who still live in a puritan fear are not getting the 30 million in taxes...the cartels are! Wake up. Stop the pimps. Bring on the regulators! Let's get those taxes!! Like drugs, making prostitution illegal only makes it worse. You will NEVER stop it or even slow it down.

Shes trying to say that all women who decide to be prostitutes are psychologically damaged in some way and thats why they continue their job. Im sure some of them are but thats so offensive to paint the entire workforce of prostitution in that light. Thats like saying in her case; all lawyers are immoral and corrupt.

I personally don't date this way and would never sell myself, and I definitely don't agree with Dennis method of profit making, however I do see why he does it. Most women date this way anyway with only money in mind. and most men don't have the personality or human skills set to keep a woman uneless there is money involved so unfortnatley this seems to be the means to an end for most people and the truth is if it wasn't Dennis profiting someone else would have thought of it. He is just profiting off of what people are already choosing to do

Of course they mostly want to get out regardless of legal status - ask bin men if they want to get out of that line of work - they obviously mostly do. That's because it's not very good work, not evidence of some innate evil in the business which justifies putting it into the hands of criminals and making the entire thing utterly sordid.

So here is the scenario: I meet a nice lady, we decide to become a couple for the weekend, I buy her a $50 Walmart ring. We have intimacy and then on Monday we break up. She can keep the ring because it had a gift receipt with it. This is all LEGAL. But if I instead would have given her an envelop with $50 in it, it would have been ILLEGAL because the government can say that I paid for intimacy. This is why government should get out of people's private lives. It's ridiculous that I am willing to pay someone for a h@ndj0b (forget about inter-course) that I should be charged with a felony if government comes to know. That;s the Land of the Free for you...
