Funny thing is always seems to happen to teams that run the ball very well. Should have never gone for the 1st 2 point anyway. If they kick the PAT its 27-27 regardless. On the 2nd attempt, it's not talked about but Lamar made a poor throw in conditions that aren't easy to make catches in. Andrews probably makes that catch 99/100 times. He will tell you he should make that catch every time and he's not wrong but it's not as simple as it looks. But Andrews was not why the Ravens lost but they rather scapegoat him instead of focusing on the other issues.

I don’t think Harbaugh is a terrible coach, but he’s similar to Tomlin, it’s the same problems every year. He is the only constant. It’s not just Lamar, there’s a pattern that Harbaugh coached teams overall have looked completely unprepared and undisciplined for playoff games. Mark Andrews had 2 awful drops and a fumble, Lindenbaum starts snapping the ball over Lamar’s head, Lamar squeezes the ball and it flies out of his hands, they looked completely unprepared for wet conditions. When the entire team constantly has all these unforced errors in playoff games, that fundamentally is a coaching problem. They don’t look well practiced or prepared to play.

@@H0USE4100 No the Steelers have talent, they just spend all their money on defense and don’t have a quarterback. Also, Tomlin still underachieved when he had a loaded roster with Ben, Leveon, and Antonio Brown. And yeah the ravens have a better GM and roster right now, but that doesn’t change the point that Tomlin and Harbaugh both have the same problems every year. With Harbaugh it’s playoff readiness, with Tomlin it’s mediocrity.

@ The only reason John Harbaugh has a job in football in 2025 is because Joe Flacco turned into Johnny Unitas for 6 weeks one year and then Lamar fell into his lap. He's just done nothing to deserve the deference he gets. If one player plays worse when it matters, he's a choker. But if your whole team plays like shit when it counts, it's the coach. Teams come up with special tactical plans to deal with them in the playoffs and the Ravens never do. That's what happens when your head coach is special teams could who originally got his job because of his last name.

Because instead of putting it all on the line for the last play of the game… you do it earlier and then you know what you need. If you wait until the last time you have the ball and you don’t get it… the game is over. If you do it in the 3rd quarter… you have multiple opportunities to make up those points. It’s just math. One chance or multiple chances

As a 30 year Raven's fan... yes, he should go! It isn't only the playoff implosions... it is the regular season implosions, as well! The Ravens have the most 4th qtr double digit lead losses in the NFL since 2020 with 10!! We were in Buffalo rather than in Baltimore for the Divisional because... we lost a 14 point lead to the, what, 4-13 Raiders at home in September! And... we lost to Cleveland later in the season... which solidified our prospects for going on the road in the playoffs! We win those games... and there are no excuses for losing them to such poor teams... and because we beat Buffalo in the reg season... we are 14- 3 & playing two games in Baltimore in the playoffs rather than just one! This year... the Ravens defense was unprepared going into the season... after having an historic defense in 2023! It took the defense to wk 11 to get right & the team had to bring in Dean Pees from retirement to help out the DC to get the defense right!! OMG! What!? That's inexcusable! How could red flags NOT have been waving in the off season... GIVEN THAT TREMENDOUS DROP IN THE D'S PERFORMANCE FROM 2023 TO 2024! SOMETHING STRUCTURAL IS WRONG WITH HARBAUGH'S SYSTEM OF COACHING... CLEARLY! One can understand some issues after losing McDonald and a couple coaches... but not to the extent of, after 11 wks, being the worst defense in the league in passing and points... or close to the worst! Moreover...going into the season... the O Line wasn't set & was being rotated for the first month or two of the season to determine the starters outside of Linderbaum and Stanley! That's also inexcusable! WHAT THE HELL WERE HARBAUGH & HIS STAFF DOING IN THE OFFSEASON & IN CAMP TO PREPARE FOR THE SEASON!! NOT FUCKING MUCH... IT SEEMS!! HE'S BEING CARRIED BY THE HALL OF FAME TALENT OF LJ8! LJ8 NEEDS A HC TO MATCH HIS TALENT! Harbaugh teams since 2014... in both the regular & post season... choke... and do not know how to put teams away that they should beat! The Bills aren't as good as the Ravens... but the Ravens in some structural way under Harbaugh...unlike the Bills under McDermott... can't put inferior teams away! I don't know how the owner Steve Bisciotti puts up with excuses for losing like this! If it isn't about championships for the owner... complacency has set in! WE HAVE THE QB... WE HAVE THE OVERALL TALENT... AND WE HAVE THE GM... WE NEED A CHANGE TO GET OVER THE HUMP!! Remember... Harbaugh was a change from Billick because Billick wasn't getting it done with immense/Hall of Fame talent, either!

Lamar was good passing the ball in all but like 3 games and had the 4th highest passer rating. Middlekauf said Allen played awesome when he was just a game manager (no shade because in those elements you need to be that to protect the ball) whereas Lamar outplayed him but had the turnovers (which matters most). If you want to say he has to stop the turnovers can't argue that but idk what game u watched coming away with Lamar is not a good passer especially in that weather with the drops ... he had at best 3 bad passes one of which was a bad pick. There gonna be a ton of comments about how many teams would be happy with harbaugh. And its true, he’s not a bad coach. But he’s not a ceiling raiser, and his teams don’t gameplan well in the playoffs generally. Does anyone really think a coach like reid or mcvay wouldn’t have a superbowl given this many years with Lamar. Obviously those kinds of coaches dont grow on trees but demeco and ben johnson have both been available recently. Better to take a chance than just accept that you’re going into late playoff games with a coaching disadvantage. Theres also the additional plus that comes with hiring a coach that calls plays which is that your OC doesn’t matter as much. That wouldve been a huge boon for the ravens during the Roman era. And it would probably help soon in the immediate future considering theres a good chance monken gets a HC gig.

Worst part about Lamar turnovers is it lets his coaches off the hook for not getting the ball into hands of the best playoff RB in the last quarter century in Derrick Henry. On top of no designed runs for Lamar. I naively thought the league was cooked with combo of those two as I vastly underestimated how incompetent Harbaugh/Monken would be when it came to giving him the ball even after the proven formula vs Steelers. He didn't run the ball enough to start the game. A 250+ pound, Hall of Fame running back had just 16 carries. That's absurd. And no designed runs for Lamar. Once again, they got away from their superpower in the post-season. He's a good coach, not saying he should be fired, but he keeps abandoning what makes the team successful on offense. Same with last year.

Another thing with these specific games this past weekend... Jalen was sacked 7 times, vs Josh being sacked once. That's not ALL on Jalen, but it did result to him losing over 60 yards. Josh Allen does have a really good O line, but he also happens to be really good at avoiding sacks.

The big mistakes were not due to poor coaching but it was due to player lack of execution: - Lamar INT: he didn’t look off the safety and Bateman cut off his route - Lamar fumble: totally on Lamar making a bad situation worse - Andrew’s fumble and drop: all on Andrews Even with player mistakes the Ravens were there at the end. I just don’t get the “fire…” after a good effort against good teams.
