Hurts didn't outplay Mahomes in the Super Bowl. He played a really good 1st half, although he did also have the game changing unforced turnover in that half. KC then focused on the running game in the second half and force Jalen to beat them throwing, Philly scored 1 TD in the second half. KC was also starting almost half rookies on defense against a mostly pro bowl offense for Philly. Mahomes made no mistakes, and KC gained EVERY POSSIBLE YARD they could in the second half outside of one kneeldown. JuJu was also WR1 on the outside (he's a 3 on his best day). Box scores aren't everything.

I'm the same way with baseball and basketball now. I was a gigantic baseball fan growing up. I was a huge Mariner fan and my entire school years was dominated by Ken Griffey Jr. Then he was traded to Cinnci which broke my heart and then came the roids scandal which seemingly deflated the game. Baseball was just never the same for me. I still enjoy watching the World Series, but regular season baseball just bores me to death these days. I can still enjoy a random regular season BB game, but even those I largely skip these days. Heck I barely even watch the early rounds of the playoffs any more. I mainly just watch the last few games of the conference finals and finals. Still love the sports themselves, but time is by far my most precious resource these days. And I just cant seem to find any for regular season games anymore.

This is Daniels 1st season and the Commanders have a ton of cap space. Not comparable to the Bengals run in Burrow's 2nd year with alot of veterans. Bengals are also a notoriously cheap organization. I do agree with you that it's hard to predict how good a team will be after they make alot of changes, but in theory this should be the worst roster Jayden plays on in the foreseeable future.

You're not factoring in a QB playing more games than him who could get it. For instance, Saquon finished with more yards than Derrick Henry this year, but because Derrick Henry played in week 17, he closed a lot of that gap. And if the Ravens didn't screw up and abandon him, he would have had a chance to cactch pass Saquon and TErrell Davis if the Ravens made the Super Bowl. He will also have another shot at it next year with another 1800 yard season. The single season record w/o playoffs is much more difficult to break.

The wedding registry question is an interesting one and there's a lot of variables there. I think you are correct and that some of the factors are age and current income and success level. But I would tell you, if this is both of your first weddings you're 40 and she's early thirties, you are fine having a registry. However, as an alternative I would suggest a couple of possible other avenues, especially if you're pulling in a few hundred grand per year. You probably have a lot of the stuff you already need, you could simply register for nothing but gift cards, and the other thing is if you truly don't want anything, there are charity Registries where invitees can donate to causes that you support in lieu of giving you money or gifts. Just a couple of options there for you. If you're ever in Dallas and want to meet up, my wife and I are there in my profile are chill and have one young son and could hang out, no pressure.

I would say Bills QB and coach are at equal levels of pressure. We both know they are great. Just not as great as Mahomes and Reid. But I say equal because people act like Allen was a great quarterback that McDermott got and he's along for the ride. That's not true. In 2017, they made the playoffs with a backup quarterback. The first two years with Allen he wasn't good although showed promise and the defense carried them to a wild card. It wasn't until McDermott's 4th year and Allen's third year that they actually had a good offense and were legit championship/super bowl contenders. That's the true story.

Eagles have won somewhat recently, but they are the biggest favorites this weekend and Philadelphia is a pressure-filled city. John, let your family buy you stuff off the registry. As a married man I figured out quickly that it's not about us guys. It's about your wife and your family/friends feeling like they're close and did something nice for each other. My wife's a corporate attorney and I'm a doctor but our families aren't wealthy. There's really not that much they could get us that we couldn't afford ourselves, but getting married is about connecting our love for each other with the love our families and friends have for us. Sometimes that means letting them get us an orange juicer I use twice a year.

It is crazy that you picked the Eagles as the team with the most pressure on them to win. Yeah, they have the pressure of being a favorite in the game, but Jaden Daniel is seen as the greatest rookie quarterback in history. It wouldn't surprise anybody if he beat the Eagles this weekend, and in fact quite a number of sports analyst are picking the Eagles to loss. Also, the Eagles have greatly exceeded expectations for this year, no body had them going to the Super Bowl or even making the playoffs. So it's laughable to say they have the most pressure with all that is at stake for Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills.

I think, actually, the Chiefs have a ton of pressure on them. Nobody has ever done what they're trying to do. Teams trying to 3peat, have never even gotten to that 3rd super bowl-- because it's incredibly hard. They have reached the conference championship game, for the 8th straight year. They have a ton of pressure on them! They actually made it this far! They have a chance to say they're the greatest dynasty ever! That's a heavy burden.

About the gifts, no need to feel any awkwardness about it since you have the social and traditional obligation to do the same when somebody else is getting married. Think of it as a fun gift giving tradition among friends and family.

Hate to say it, but if you dont NEED it, expecting it is just selfish. Now, if people choose to gift you things because they want and you have already explicitly stated that it is not expected or necessary, then thats different. You just have to ask yourself: What is the "why" motivating the gift process.

Is the Chiefs winning good for business? I'd argue it turns alot of fans off seeing any one team always playing in the Super Bowl.
