I look at it from the perspective of the community. I know as a black dude myself walking around houses for sell in regular clothes gon get the neighbors trippin depending on what area im in lol. So id at least have a polo and some slacks on or nice pants just to make it look like i belong and avoid the hassle

Yes it matters. If you can't take care of yourself, how can I trust you to take care of my needs for a home. If I don't know you, a suit comes with assumed educated, mature, knowledgeable, business like, first impression, Sales 101. Would you go to a new parish with the pastor wearing t shirts and basketball shorts 😯

It matters to the point you let it. If you keep it clean dont let it stop you. Some people will not like you no matter what you do or how you look. Can not please everybody so please yourself and the clientele you want to work with.
