I'm autistic and have the reborn toddler and baby's in My room because I love them as my children. As I can't touch people so can't have a child. And I've got a pram and take them out some times I'm only living with my old mum and need the baby's in my room so I'm not alone as I don't have friends or want them I like being alone but only if I've got my Toy's I'm old as well and love my baby's. I just got a new one today at Kmart it's the soothing baby cost me 30 dollars and it sucks it's dummy and open and close it's eyes. It crys for it's dummy and I love it. I love the outfit on little Miss Birdie. I was a preemie and I didn't realize preemie babies have bigger eyes. She's beautiful and looks very realistic. I agree with you, the reborn community is innocent and this evil world we live in loves to destroy anything that is innocent. People are so wicked. The negative comments will never deter the people who love reborns from buying, selling and making these beautiful pieces of art. I love babies and anything that has to do with babies, their clothes and cuddling them, they are so sweet. We at least don't do the things this world is doing which are bad. I am so happy to have found the reborn community and found people like me who love dolls and dressing them up to make them look more realistic. I found Grace at the thrift store for $10, she was just waiting for me to pick her up, I knew her value, and she was much more expensive most people knew. I took her home and dressed her up. I submitted my pictures to Ashton Drake and they thanked me for the cute pictures of her. I posed her in a way that at first glance she looks just like a real baby. The people making the negative comments shouldn't even be watching these videos. There are a lot of people who think dolls are creepy. So they make negative comments. I don't care what they think. I know Grace was a reborn doll a woman had at the nursing home. I am a nurse and every time I went into her room i asked her if ii could hold her and she let me. These reborns are the only way I'm able to cope not being able to raise my own babies. I have my first ashton drake Son coming home to me between morning and afternoon. I spent the last of my money to buy his outfits, and his PJs came in the mail today. I felt like I was preparing for him and when I have reborns, I feel like it's "paper work adoption." If I knew about reborns and being able to make a nursery for them, I would of the moment I lost my daughter when I was 18, I'm 31 now and have barely made it without her. I feel like our reborns have something in them to help us for many different purposes, it is the closest to holding what feels like a baby. Your nursery is my dream that I'm working towards. I use to think I could never make a nursery because I don't think I'm able to have a second chance to parent with my disability. I was given a teddy bear from my partner on valentines day two years ago. I learned that dressing Mysticial Spirit Bear, and calling him my son, gave me the feels of parenting. He's been my medical support aid, my security bear. I was told by someone I was too old for a teddy bear and that age matters because it was disturbing to him, and very odd. I think everything can be the way people make it.. so it's up to US to keep the innocence because my partner now has a teddy for the last 17 years and they're 39. My partner told me the teddy in their life was all the innocence they had from the world. I hope you always stay being a reborn mom, some people judge me because of my disabilities and being too old or think I'm too "a kid" with one. I feel like reborns are a way to mentally cope from the world digging it's shithole and it's just people throwing us in THEIR darkness. I have only watched you the last few days, and out of most reborns parents or communities, you're the one who is showing me the exact dream I have visons of all the way down to a fall type nursery besides mine being winnie the pooh and galaxy or woodland mixed. I want to start a fall everything because I love what fall does for us. Also don't worry about her negative insults towards your passions. She has "real kids" and what she says reflects her own fears and I wish people would learn what they judge unfolds. I may not have a nursery but I am making mine just like yours and you help me be able to see how yours is placed. Until than I'll be sleeping and holding with however many reborns I end up with. I don't see how anyone can hear your voice and chose to put you in THEIR darkness or have any negativity. You're one of the only pure genuine souls I've come crossed. I look up to you as I'm in the beginning stages of my reborns and I want to follow you if that's OK. I'm sorry for how much I'm talking lol I'll leave room for other videos to compliment.

No, that is a common misconception about reborn dolls. They were originally created by doll collectors just because they wanted vinyl dolls that were more realistic. The repainting of these dolls started in the 1980s and has evolved from there. There are a small amount of women who may have them for that therapeutic purpose but most collectors DON’T have them for that reason.
