Is it just me, or have these "great" coaches just happened to coach teams with great qb's? Belichik... Payton....
@ChadCole-bd1rdАй бұрын
Right I think head coaching is literally just being leaders of men
@nickmessner700Ай бұрын
Yeah, it's almost like having a great QB helps you win games or something.
@1001011011010Ай бұрын
Or, conversely, a great coach gets the best out of his players. Brees wasn't considered one of the best qbs of all time when the Saints got him from the Chargers. People were NOT expecting Bo Nix to be playing as well as he's playing. Etc.
@vincentlockard1175Ай бұрын
Yes and no. Jared Goff isn’t a great QB but Dan Campbell and Ben Johnson elevate his game. Mike Vrabel had Ryan Tannehill and beat the patriots in Foxbourough in the playoffs. It’s more so pairing the QB with the coach. Not saying having a great QB doesn’t help but it’s not an exact recipe

If Rizz takes the team to 10-7 or 9-8 and into the playoffs after the shhty start to this season, I believe he is “proven” enough to give him a try. I believe Rizzy is a natural because he loves his players and wins and loses with them and they love him.

I think we'll know which direction to take at the end of the season. If Rizzi take the team to the playoffs, then he's definitely the best candidate to be our future HC. If not, then maybe we can have an extensive interview process on our best option to be our next HC.
@BrentonBannister-gc2ptАй бұрын
We should have an extensive search either way… don’t sell us short based off emotional hype
@joybischoff9558Ай бұрын
@@BrentonBannister-gc2ptSolid wins are not emotional fluff. I've had experts tell me that wins don't matter in evaluating players and teams... hardly even a factor. Anyone so arrogantly stupid should find a different career.

What i’ll say about the “building block” segment and Mccoy. It probably is not great that your center is your only pro bowler. But tbh he’s probably closer to an All-pro than a pro bowler. Mccoy and Fuaga are going to be really good pieces to build around I believe. Saints just need that pro bowl/all pro level skill position young guy. Olave still has that potential I think. Dude has been a stud. But, at this time I do agree he’s probably a compliment to a 1.

The real problem with this team is they borrowed on credit to try to hold onto a chance with Brees and now they have been paying that debt. This roster is thin and older and every time there is an injury it shows.

As long as Carr is QB, the next HC is a placeholder. No way the Saints get a top-tear coach
@1001011011010Ай бұрын
I think I read Carr is like top 5 this season by QBR. There are probably worse problems than Carr that may make a HC wary like the way we deal with the cap
