When I was younger I used to not give a crap how much money my future job would make. I wanted to be an artist. Yes, I would find ways to make change on the side by selling things when I didn’t have a job yet, but I never wanted to be rich. Now that I have a job, money has been a source of stress sometimes and I wish I made even more money. I have to split rent to afford where I live. But I’m not bad off either. I definitely find myself wanting to be wealthy though lol, and then I see all these youtubers filthy rich and I’m like 👀

She said your best friend will be the one who will hurt you. thought at first it was a paranoid outlook. However it makes sense and has proven true. Whether it’s friends or spouses, we trust them with our deepest secrets or embarrassing personal habits. Then when things go wrong they use this info. to hurt you. That’s why yes, go ahead and make friends, etc. But remember that it’s human nature for some to lash out and hurt you in retaliation when relationships go bad. So deep secrets and such are best left to a therapist.

HR Manager here of 9 yrs experience. Don’t listen to these ladies. Please put the experience on your resume, just in professional wording. The skills part of resume is no longer a thing. If it was 15-20 years ago skills would be a thing. Also depending on the state you live you in you can’t ask any personal questions about children/race/age. Open to any questions. In todays market managers are open to right candidate depending on how you portray yourself in an interview. A resume is a like 10% of getting the job.
@o.s.a.s.u2 жыл бұрын
I was looking for this comment! 🙌 From one HR manager to another - this is true. Employers are not allowed to ask personal questions to candidates. If candidates voluntarily provide the information that they have kids, the interviewer isn’t supposed to ask follow-up questions because it may lead to discrimination in hiring claims if the candidate doesn’t get the job. Also, there are lots of resources available to people transitioning back into the workplace on how to write your resumes, how to apply transferable skills, how to prepare for interviews, etc. Please find those and use them. Don’t take these ladies' advice.

I was offered 4 jobs and currently work for a Fortune 500 company making well over 6 figures
@lizzieaftertaylor9392 жыл бұрын
You don't list kids on your resume or your husband. Only your qualifications for the job you're applying for. Prior to your interview, the employer will notice gaps in your work history so be prepared for certain questions but, be aware of the proper personal questions that shouldn't be asked by any employer prior to hiring someone. It takes valuable skills to be a 'house Manager' that's what I call a stay-at-home mom. If you're called in for an interview or FaceTime make sure the kids are not around. Be very careful in the type of questions being asked about your personal life, how many kids you have, married or not are questions I never answered. I only held Corporate positions but, I knew my rights and what could/should be asked in an interview. If you were a stay-at-home mom mention the skills that assisted you in managing your home that could benefit the company. Good luck.

When Adrianne starting reading some of the brutal truths (4:15), the first two are 100% FACTS! 💯 IDGAF who agrees and who doesn't! Its TRUE, you CAN'T (*and SHOULDN'T!*) trust ANYONE! NOBODY'S trustworthy but me, myself and I! And yes, life IS about suffering! If it wasn't, suffering wouldn't exist! Struggling wouldn't exist! Hardships wouldn't exist! Homelessness wouldn't exist! Poverty wouldn't exist! Politics wouldn't exist! Abuse wouldn't exist! Depression, PTSD, Anxiety, ANY & ALL mental diseases wouldn't exist! If life wasn't about suffering (*which it so CLEARLY & OBVIOUSLY 100% IS*), life would be easy (*as it SHOULD BE!*) You can't say "life's not meant to be easy" and then disagree that life is about suffering! If you agree that life's NOT supposed to be easy, you ALSO agree that life is about suffering! If you're like me and agree that life's NOT supposed to be hard, you ALSO agree that life should be easy! (*ESPECIALLY seeing as how I NEVER asked to be born in the first place!*) Edit: The third one (*sometimes the ones closets to you will hurt you the most*) is also FACTS! 💯

The second half of this about the outlook on life is sad bcuz there are some ppl who truly live horrible, sad, depressing lives. Everyone doesn't have the same experience on this planet and I really n truly wish that those who have had it easy and don't know the ugly side of life could live in their own community and those of us that know a different kind of life could be separate bcuz it's frustrating trying to share the same planet with ppl that are oblivious, privileged and sheltered. Those tend to be the meanest ones bcuz they have no idea the hell u endure or why u prefer to stay away from their kind and cause more hell which is what can potentially make u wanna be mean and dim like them so that life can treat u better. You don't need Papa Dios for that my dear Adrienne H. The answe is in the Bible. The sun/rain shines/falls on the just and the unjust. Also what the world terms "good" it's not the same as "good" for God. Lastly, some people who look "bad" outwardly have become so due to some really dire conditions. So God who knows all, knows their history. His grace super abounds where there is a lot of sin, to give that person opportunity to change and find peace. The problem with all of us supposed Christians, is we don't show enough love to people we think are not deserving. Don't you know love is a strong language that heals the broken?! My 2 cents...

Some people respond to things in theory. But if you have never been a mother who is a stay-at-home for several or a few years, the things that you list on a resume pertaining to your job as a full-time mother doesn't seem like you're trying to be a super mom as Lonnie kind of put it. Like all you do or work is being a mommy because your listing at of course everyone knows you list your degrees your accomplishments and all of that especially if you are of a certain age you know what to list but what have you been doing for the last five or six years is also important. The reason you list those skills is because employers will ask why have you been out of work so long.

Can I just throw in the answer to Adrien's question of "why do bad things happen to good people and good things to bad people" from an Islamic perspective (if anyone is interested): In Islam, we believe that God gave us all free will, which means, you can do whatever you want, act upon your emotions/temptations/urges, whatever it is. Some people have self-discipline and some people don't, and I think here is where the "bad things happen to good people" come in line. A "good" person can control themselves, have discipline and hold themselves accountable to a certain extent. They have a moral compass that aligns with the moral compass of most people (e.g. no stealing, no physical harm caused to others, being kind etc…) and that's what they act upon, this is what they choose to do in life. Then comes the "bad" person, that does not live by that moral compass or/nor has any self-discipline, and let me explain my thoughts with a made-up scenario. Let's say we have a good person, and we are going to call her Adrienne (; and a bad person, let's call her Joanna. Based on their choices in life, they end up in various situations and somehow meet one another. Their meeting goes like this: Adrienne is on her way home after a long day of work, while passing by a grocery store she sees a homeless man and decides to give him a $10 bill, just because of the kindness in her heart and her moral compass. Right before she reaches her home, however, Joanna walks up to Adrienne with a gun, forces Adrienne's bag out of her hands and shoots her in her leg (god forbid, may this never happen to you A, or anyone for that matter) and takes off with Adrienne's bag. Now what happens is, Adrienne doesn't have her money and gets physically impaired, meanwhile Joanna sold Adrienne's expensive bag for a lot of money, plus the money inside it was enough for her to take off and enjoy life somewhere on the beach. Now, how did they end up in this situation? The choices they have made throughout their lives (which were completely made out of their free will) led them to that particular situation, in which Joanna, the bad person, in this case, decides to steal from Adrienne, because she can, and take off. It's unfair. But that's life. It's what people out here choose to do (or in some cases are forced to do, however people who are forced to commit a "bad" deed are a different story in my opinion). It's harsh and hard, but to me personally, these thoughts get me through having an existential crisis of "what is this world, if there is a god then why are people dying" etc... This particular explanation may not make sense to you, but it does to me, and it makes me more save in my beliefs, if that's a way to put it lmao. Nevertheless, be it that you agree or disagree, I just wanted to share this piece of information just because why not. The more you know, the better. :)

Bad things happen to good people. Bad things happen to everybody. That is life. However it can likely happen to good people, especially if you encounter a narcissist or just plain selfish people who will take advantage of your kindness or generosity. So be kind and generous, but don’t be a doormat.

"Money doesn't buy happiness" No...no...that's very relative and honestly that's such a privileged thing to say. Personally, money would change my life, my family's life, and a lot of people I know. If I were rich I'd honestly feel ashamed to ever complain about not being happy. Be more empathetic with those who have less. Be thankful you have food on your table, clean water do drink and bathe, a car, internet, a home. Privileged people annoy the f out of me. 😒

Agreed! I feel like they say that because most of them have to sell their souls to get that amount of money or living a lifestyle where they can't enjoy it because they are working all the time but is a huge slap in the face to people like me that barley are getting by. Money doesn't buy happiness but it can be less stress over spending money.

Stay-at-home parents have many responsibilities, so they should absolutely include that time on their resume.
