Oline coaches are important, we need someone who wants bigger guys weve had one of the smallest height and weight lines in the nfl the past 5+ years, we have to stop gettting mobile lineman and focus on space openers/movers, we have no one who can hold his own against a 350lb DT and its why we struggle against teams with good DTs... watch the titans ravens and vikings games, we could win those contests with either a better plan or more meat and potatoes bc with mixon he needs someone he can run behind
@mikeroberts92996 күн бұрын
Oline coach was amazing last year though... It's the players. Oline is supposed to be nasty they're supposed to be tough they're supposed to be dawgs they're supposed to stick up for their qb set a tone want to fight people. Instead they're a bunch of divas. Tunsil can get by with that attitude because of talent when he feels like using it. But him being the "leader" of that room cause everyone else to think they can act that way. Kenyon Green could be that guy against the big DTs but the attitude and effort aren't there. Fisher is the only one who showed fight last year.

I worry that if they don’t fire Slowick, we’ll have another Year 3 collapse. What do I mean by that? 2011-2012 playoffs. 2013 collapse. 2015-2016 playoffs. 2017 collapse. 2018-2019 playoffs. 2020 collapse. 2023-2024 playoffs. 2025? We’ll see…

i think if we lose PFF bobby slowik, which i am against somewhat js, i think we replace him with a veteran coach that has head coach experience, someone who can help CJ and Demeco both with game management, someone who can speed this offense up and give it some fire, or one that gives Cj the ability to audible at the line if he sees something, we need to be able to find an advantage and the capitalize on it, too many times this year we thought we had an advantage and had no way to hurry up and expose it, we need an identity on offense not just mixon running, bc that wont work unless we get bigger up front

There you are Landry Locker I said where isI Landry on Radio 610 glad to see you brother
@clamus688 күн бұрын
Landry, I'm curious about your comments about last year. I heard you daily on the radio and that's revisionist history. People complained about the O-Line Coach and the O-Line but Stroud had to publicly defend them in his pressers so the talk rumbled down. But last year we had the same issues with the O-Line coach. As to OC, it doesn't matter because the players we have on the offensive side of the ball aren't that good. Tank can't stay healthy, CJ regressed, Nico and Mixon impressed, O-Line was a sieve, Tight Ends ALL need to be gone except Jordan. The offense though is really just bad players for the most part. As I said in the Super Chat yesterday on the SL stream the Texans don't know shit about O-Lines. They'll never get anywhere until they get a good O-Line Coach that can actually COACH an O-Line. Hell the Texans have given up 40+ sacks 4 of the last 5 years, the exception was the Davis Mills led Texans of 2022 in which they gave up only 38. That said doesn't matter until we get better players.

1:16 yet we won’t admit we wrong and stay handcuffed to caserio. Sure we can blame online coach we can blame the OC. Demeco and Bobby working miracles with this pile of misfit toys. Get a real GM who doesn’t need a top 3 pick to get stars and stock pile 7th round picks
@mellomike40125 күн бұрын
Ummmmm look what he did last year….Lassiter and Bullock in the 2nd and 3rd round. Henry T was a 5th rounder, Harris (when healthy) 2nd round, Stingley is an All Pro, Will Anderson is now a premier pass rusher…….Why is it that all these defensive players have developed, but the offensive players struggle? This offensive staff is flawed. Slowik struggles with play calling, McDaniels is the passing game coordinator and Wr coach, his units have been in the top 5 in drops the last 2 years + the receivers have failed to develop. Jake Moreland…….great job with Schultz………Jerrod Johnson survives because CJ’s relationship with him back to his highschool days, Danny Barret the running back coach is the only one worth keeping. Strausser is either retiring or there will be a mutual parting of ways. You don’t fire a competent GM who has drafted 2 stars per draft, you don’t seem to realize how rare that is.

fix the offensive line and let's see what happens. Maybe OC will grow into position. No doubt, changes need to be made. Offense regressed.

The Texan need a real a real offensive coordinator not someone to be who's just given the position they have to be a bona fide coordinator that Tamiko runs wants to instill in his offense there's certain variations of each offense but one has to work for the Texans I don't know which one that is but Mr Ryan's does and hopefully he picks the right gentleman

The Texans need dogs on the O-line. Let Damico get the O-line players. He knows "DOG" mentality guys. Guys that want to hit and knock the crap out of the other guy. We dont have that. I did see a little bit of that from Fisher and Delarousa( sorry if i got his name wrong). Those guys stay with their block. Too many times ive seen texan O-line guys standing tall looking at the play develope. They rarely try and push the pile to help the RB or QB. They may be good on PFF, but their lack of intensity is very disheartening. Ive seen too many times Howard will jump out the way of blockers if he is mot in favorable position. Too many times theyve allowed a ball side rusher free access to CJ. Get guys that want to hit.

If they don't fire SLOWik now we'll be doing it by week 3 next year and it'll be a mess. This is why I'm out on Demeco as HC he's too nice. He should've been on Bobbys ass about making changes. He's too nice to yell at his baby boy he's too nice to fire him when he's sabotaging this team this season and CJ and he won't fire him next year unless his hand is forced. He's too worried about the defense so he needs to be demoted to DC. Just because he's a defensive coach doesn't mean he can't have a say in the offense. Just heard about how in practice Aaron Glenn would go to the guys on offense and tell them what they were doing wrong and how to improve it. As a player yet our HEAD COACH can't do that. Might as well promote SLOWik and they can be co head coaches. Starting a turnstile at left guard and only replacing him because of injury starting a washed turnstile at rg when the line played maybe it's best all year without him. That's on DEMECO. Schultz bullshit no effort that's on DEMECO he's the top guy it's his responsibility to correct it. He won't he's too nice and we'll be average win some divisions CJ will get broken and all of it will have been because Demeco can't do what needs to be done.
@Tramaine1087 күн бұрын
How do you know Demeco is not behind the scenes doing exactly what you say he isn’t doing?
@mikeroberts92996 күн бұрын
@@Tramaine108 If he was things would've changed. Same with the olines bullshit diva mentality. The defense isn't like that. Why? Because he's the leader of it. He has nothing to do with the offense it's not a team culture they might as well be two different teams.

Cal,Nick and DeMeco are going to do what they think is best for this team. We can all say we want this or that it’s not going to happen. I’m sure they will give you and Stoots a call to be apart of one of there focus groups on uniforms, tickets and concession prices 😂😂😂

Bobby is like a gallon of milk….cool and refreshing at first, but now the milk is smelling funny. Best to get rid of it before it curdles. Why are we acting like it’s going to be hard to upgrade over Slowik?
