One thing that a new college basketball game NEEDS is something that the new college football game doesn’t have-the NCAA license. In football, that’s fine, because they have the license to the CFP, and without FCS schools in it, it’s not like you’re missing THAT much by leaving out the NCAA. But in basketball? No NCAA license means no “March Madness.” They could probably make some version of the tournament without it, but without the actual names, it just wouldn’t feel right. (To that end, if they could only get the rights to one TV package, I feel like it would have to be the CBS/Turner one-because it’s March!)
@BrothaGoneBased6 ай бұрын
Completely agree. One of the few times where Ncaa Licensing would actually matter. And you know EA would half ass their own version of it.

Crazy thing is the price point for some these type of sports titles was $20-30 range when they dropped, and had so much more to offer than top priced titles. Getting these for $2-5 is a gold mine purchase

March Madness 98 had women's teams but it wasn't that many. Imagine running a men and women's dynasty at the same time
@superiorvibes46396 ай бұрын
Ima be honest. People do not care much about women’s hoops outside of Caitlyn Clark so I think the women’s side would be treated like the W in 2k currently

I love you Kofie. You are the perfect mix of nostalgic, curious, deliberate, informative, honest, and concise. I love feeling your calm underlying passion pour over in its many forms of videos. I don’t watch for the topic, but to see what is going on through your peculiar mind.

I absolutely hope to see the return of a college basketball game that’s able to incorporate the advanced technology of the newest consoles while integrating the traditions of college hoop. College Football 25, to me, does an excellent job of capturing the essence of the 134 teams included in the game, especially with fight songs, uniform options, and playing styles. If the same level of depth can be incorporated into a new college basketball game then that would be a thing of beauty. Wear and Tear should absolutely be an aspect of a new college hoop game as well as the ability to create a team. Most importantly, as you’ve touched upon, Dynasty mode is the essence of a college hoop game. It would also be great to have the option to play in an All-American game with players who obviously have been voted to those teams. Perhaps a skills contest, a 3-point contest and a dunk contest, obviously like the NBA, would draw in more potential players. Lastly, expanding the playbooks is tantamount to garnering new and sustained interest in a college basketball game for the more hardcore players.

College hoops 2k8 is my favorite sports management sim ever. In my eyes, it’s like the football manager games for college basketball. Of course FM is technologically more impressive, but choops 2k8 is as close as we’ll get to a super in depth management mode than can span literal decades

The problem with the college hoops games in the past (both 2k and EA) by the end of their respective cycles, the final titles were pretty stale

It’ll be cool I think way better if we could have the 2k engine keep nba and the nba live engine do ncaa. One thing I can say is I see the college “my team” game mode from 2k would be phenomenal based off college players past n present. But I would enjoy it if anyone other than 2k made it

Since NCAA players could actually get paid for it now...Yes, I think so. Not sure who would take on the task of doing it though. Would be a lot of work

Most sports games are cheap even if they are complete in box. I think it's mostly the arcade sports titles like NBA street or the final sports games of a series like College hoops 2k8 that will cost a lot of money.

Think how much space that would take up on your system having like 750 teams and 11,000 players if you have both men’s and women’s basketball but would be sweet

womens basketball is great and entertaining but the media is pushing it more than they are the mens. n honestly i feel like its really hurting the coverage of the great players that played this year. just for example new mexico has 3 great guards n i bet not many people kno about them. i mean even with the houston team, as a team they got some coverage, i guess but their starting 5 is underrated as hell.. i just wish they push them both equally because they. both have outstanding players

The women’s game has had great, exciting players for a long time and have been almost entirely ignored by most sports media until very recently, so I think it’s sort of weird to now say it isn’t fair to the men’s game when the scales tilt even a *little* towards promoting the women’s game. Also, I’d even dispute your claim the media is pushing the women’s game more than the men’s. I mean, of course ESPN is promoting the women’s tournament, because they’re the ones broadcasting it. And sure, the media is writing more articles than they used to about some of the big name women’s players, who are getting more coverage than many of the men’s big name players, but that’s just a reflection of fan interest about genuinely exciting players. I don’t think this is some media “push” that’s happening to the women’s game at the expense of the men’s game, beyond the idea that the “push” is just a reaction to fan interest. And no offense to New Mexico, but outside of the die hards, people wouldn’t have cared much about those three great guards in any era of college basketball. Most fans just don’t engage on that level.
@dusatriplife3336 ай бұрын
@@PL_SL no it’s just ass backwards. We literally established that you should push BOTH men’s and women’s basketball. Wats your point here? Mine is that yall are missing out on great hoopers cuz the media won’t push it.
