Dear Dr.Zakir sir, Assalamualaikum. In pregnancy, Doctors usually recommend not to sleep supine position due the compression of utreus on Inferior Venacava on supinie position. This compression reduces the venous return of the mother. which in turn reduces the preload of the heart(less blood goes to heart And less blood comes out) Therfore it is recommended to sleep either on left or Right side. This particular Doctor has mentioned to sleep on Left side. But there is no Harm in sleeping right sided. Thanks & Regards Dr.Rohan.
