Hunh? This is the BEST case scenario for Atlanta. Once they drafted Penix, their primary objectives were to make Penix the starter at some point in the season and trade Cousins. They are now starting Penix while maintaining Cousins trade value. If they can find a trade partner for Cousins they will have rescued a bad situation of their own making.

However, fatigue may be a concern, as they were among the early teams to have their bye week. Should Atlanta move on from Kirk? Considering his current salary, the answer might be yes. He doesn’t seem to be the same player since his injury, and age appears to be affecting his throwing velocity-similar to what we’ve seen with Rodgers. That said, he could still serve as a solid backup and a mentor to a younger quarterback, perhaps for one of the New York teams. As for the Raiders, it seems they’re angling for the top overall pick in the draft by intentionally losing games. Crazy thing is if Penix Jr is actually good the Falcons ARE contenders to make the Super Bowl because the NFC has deeply flawed teams starting with depleted defense of Lions. Also Falcons could almost have competitive advantage of other teams not having a 7-8+ game sample size to make adjustments to stop Penix Jr because if he’s on a heater by the time they “figure him out” the Falcons could already be in New Orleans. Now obviously they aren’t close to favorites but in a conference where we’ve seen Jake Delhomme, Eli Manning 2x, Foles etc make the Super Bowl, anything can happen if you make this single elimination tournament

Head coach has to be a culture guy to be successful. Love Dan Campbell, but it's nice to have culture and an Offensive, Quarterback guru in Kevin O'Connell. He is arguably doing more with less talent wise than Dan Campbell is. The GM for the lions knocked it out of the park.

Hey Mina! The true #1 problem with the 2024 Chicago Bears is General Manager Ryan Poles failed to trade the #1 overall pick for the generational draft haul and instead wasted the #1 pick on a (QB4) the team didn't need. Not to mention Justin Fields leadership in the locker room & Fields personally taking blame for Eberflus/Getsy blunders is sorely missed and getting folks fired! The Bears were a legit TEN WIN TEAM LAST SEASON if not for three late game blunders by EBERFLUS/GETSY. This season's Bears 4-10 record is what happens when your General Manager is no smarter than Chicago MAGA radio hosts named Kap, Waddle & Silvy and brainwashed low football IQ content creators. Caleb Williams "looking worst than the last time" against the Vikings is because there is now tape on him and his Pee Wee league tendencies. Bears President Kevin Warren will have to take bold OBVIOUS steps to save the Chicago Bears from another rebuild, which I will list only upon request. As a lifelong Bears fan who no longer purchase tickets nor buy/wear Chicago Bears paraphilia, I'm enjoying the chaos of this season because it's the only way it could've turned out and I'm not alone.

@@platoniczombie Because completing 18 consecutive passes is irrelevant. Hell, the Lions completed all 19 passes in that game as Amon-Ra St Brown threw for a 7 yard TD as well. If he had an incompletion or two it wouldn't have mattered in terms of the overall dominance Detroit had in that game. It's a nice fluffy stat that means nothing especially since Goff was sacked three times. Notable because if he had been able to dump off the ball before those sacks, avoiding those yardage losses, it would have meant the offence was even more efficient than with the sacks and the intact 'perfection.'
