Should The Splinterlands DAO Axe Vouchers?

The Lands of Undelivered Promises. We could have easily had Voucher utility delivered through a Voucher store years ago. It never happened. But we effectively got a 5th currency (SPS, DEC, Vouchers, DEC-B, Glint) in Glint and a Glint Store instead. It’s not that Vouchers failed - it’s that the team failed Vouchers.

Well said! Axing vouchers sends a bad signal to investors. Stop producing vouchers and give utility to vouchers is the best way.

I wish a lot of guys including Matt would understand that the game doesn’t have only players , there are also investors only we have seen a lot of moves like these going on in the game and maybe that’s the reason why everything is tanking as investors are selling due to discontent

Vouchers should be phased out starting now. It’s holding back DEC utility which is super important to SPS supply and value. Which also impacts card values as those are the tools used to mine SPS. Get rid of Vouchers!

I said that adding another token would take value from the base tokens SPS & DEC in the long run and no one would listen. It was just another way for Splinterlands to try to bring in dollars and never let them leave.

@@chainin-the-blox The original intent was to give SPS holders special access/products that couldn't be obtained any other way. I think the plan was solid. The problem is they completely failed to provide these products and instead starting using them as "discounts". It just became another form of DEC.

voucher = dec b is same with gladius = merit. i play years to earn gladius and all of the sudden its value become merit.

You see how u contradict urself? Ur not ok for investors getting dec b for vouchers cause maybe they dont play,but youre ok for license holders to have voucjer rewards replaced for a boost in in game rewards? Bro ,they dont play so they care about that even less than dec b. See?

@@AsmongoldvsArtosisclips These aren't even remotely the same thing. I'm not ok with taking already earned/bought crypto and automatically turning it into a soulbound token (which has since been removed from the proposal btw, so I no longer have this complaint about it). I'm ok with reworking future rewards to improve the sustainability and security of the game so it can continue to exist (making all rewards earned more valuable).
