However it does also mean that guys my age 33 can legally ger involved with girls who are 15+ and not 16+. I think medically they should be respected, as to condoms, stis and birth control however at those young ages.

Why 🤔 is this minor talk only about protected girls why are there not talking about boys too so what are really saying that the minor law is really created to protect girls because everytime I heard talk about the age of consent is always about the girls 🤔

You're right, it's about children, boys and girls and both are vulnerable to exploitation.

Rules requiring evidence to be presented before a conviction can occur is a very important part of democratic jurisprudence, especially as America defines it. Setting an AOC or forcing younger peopIe not to make a decision for sexuaI activity, and knowingIy punishing aduIts who are IikeIy innocent of coerced sexuaI activity, is admitting outright that it's better to throw innocent peopIe in jaiI then to risk the chance of a guiIty person not getting convicted right away because evidence is required to convict. That ispurely draconian, and it requires a highly emotionally charge exception like this to get so many people to support it, since it's well known that strong emotions trump logical thought or considerations. It also serves to protect parental control over the bodies of their children, and as noted above, most groups are very reluctant to give up the privilege of being able to treat another group as their de facto property. This is a black eye to the important rules of the penal code under democracy that requires evidence before charges can stick. It's also not protecting peopIe, but rather protecting a very strict type of custom that trumps freedom ofchoice, and a type of decorum that spares mainstream sensibilities from having to tolerate a type of activity that they consider to go against the culturally "proper" relations between younger and older people. A temporary solution to this, perhaps for a generation or two, that I believe would best allow for youth rights in today's day and age is the Epstein-Dumas Test of Adulthood co-designed and promoted by youth libber Dr. Robert Epstein, which he describes in detail on his website (just Google it!) and in his groundbreaking book Teen 2.0, the 2010 update to his 2007 tome The Case Against Adolescence. Highly recommended! The Epstein-Dumas Test of Adulthood allows youths under the age of majority the opportunity to achieve emancipation by proving via a specially designed and reasonable test that they are competent enough to handle certain or all decision-making by comparing their scores to those provided by a large number of adults who took the test for the purpose of coIIecting comparative data. This, I think, is the best idea I've heard so far for a reasonable and objective way of determining individual merit in young people, even if not ideal, that also compromises with society by taking common concerns, whether warranted or not, into consideration.

No because the age of adulthood differs depending on which part of the world you live in, so it wouldn't make sense at all.

Nonsense. There is very little to no difference physically between a 15 year old and a 16 year old and there is very little difference mentally between a 15 year old and a 16 year old.
