We do kinda know about this it’s in the History books taught in school and the documents have been declassified since back in the 90s it’s not like it’s a secret that the government tries to keep the public from knowing. Quite honestly when you’re in the center of politics in the world your attention span for a particular issue in a particular part of the world is short unless if the public thinks it’s important enough and the president makes it important you can argue that this stuff in Latin America is important but when it gets blurred into the countless other issues in all corners of the world it becomes just another place with problems to the average American there’s good and bad of being the world police. What did the US do to help the people of Latin American? The Army helped the prior President of Venezuela to commit crimes against Humanity. The US gave asylum to that president in Miami.

Agreed, but I still get the feeling it's not enough. It's as if he's doing all the heavy lifting for critical journalists. I commend him for that, but it's also sad to see he's basically the only one doing it on this level.

There is a case for US to review it's foreign policy to ensure more effective global policing. Unfortunately it's approach is often predicated on sowing discord to change regimes with no regard for collateral.

Why is there an information banner at the bottom of this video that says, "Al Jazeera is funded in whole or in part by the Qatari government?" I don't recall seeing similar banners under CNN, Fox, MSNBC news stories. The latter have included large Saudi owners, defense corporations, and other such characters in the past that would be equally worthy of notice.

Old Otto didn't care for many of the facts cited by Medhi so he resorted to the old Republican ploy changing facts to fit his "theories." In fact Otto thought everyone needed to get with the program and use his facts. Medhi should have called him on that.
