I’m Silovs all day currently. He’s warm, in the zone and in the battle currently with no reason to switch back. Until there is a reason. I am not just talking this series. He is proving he is a world class goaltender. No disrespect to Demko or Desmith but let’s back up our current goaltender who is playing unreal. I’m running Silovs to the cup if it continues as is.

I think you stick with Silovs for the series. He's earned the coach's faith and I have doubts if a 70-80 percent Demko is as good or better than Silovs. Plus you throw in rust as a factor who knows what you get. And that is potentially in elimination games too.

You go with Silovs until at least the end of the series. Playoffs are all about riding momentum and Arty has shown he's got the momentum. Of course, if he's getting blown out, then you pull him for Demko (imagine that, Demko as the backup). If/when the Canucks make the 3rd round, you reassess from there.

The Oiler didn't "limit" the Canucks to 18 shots. The Canucks stop playing offense once they have a lead going into the 3rd and are in constant defend mode. Not a good recipe, but it works (at least for 2 goal leads). They barely had any shots in the 1st round against the Preds as well. They're a team that goes for quality instead of quantity as well. But, Oilers took over the 2nd half of game 3 (like they did in game 2) cause Nucks just stopped playing offense for the most part.

Last year, Lyon came in and saved the Florida Panthers playoff hopes and stole the show in the first game or two of the semi finals. However, as soon as Bob was 100%, Lyon was dropped like a hot potato. It worked out well. Bobrovsky was sensational. If Demko is totally healthy, I think the Canucks need to let the man cook.

He’s done an amaaaazing job, no doubt. But think, if Demko is actually-actually fit for the Western Final, it’s an auto-intimidate for the other team. “They’ve burned through the first and second rounds with their *third string* GT. and now their no1 is back…” And then we can sub in Šilovs if we need to…

I'd say there's a better chance for Pickard to start than Silovs not playing game 4, regardless of whatever else happens, Demko back or not. Fact is, he is a massive reason they're up 2-1. If it was 2-1 Oilers, yeah, in a heartbeat. No one was taking Adin Hill out last year 🤷

there's an unwritten rule in pro sports: you don't lose your starting spot if you get injured. if that weren't true, then athletes would think twice before putting their bodies on the line. if you want guys to leave it all out there, you need to put guys back in the lineup when they return from injury, full stop. he might be competing for a job after that, but he/she doesn't sit on the bench first game they are 100% ready to go. occasionally a team/coach breaks this rule, but it's a big deal when they do, and sends a very bad message. it's not a sustainable way to run an organization.
