Arturs Silovs was INCREDIBLE in the Playoffs
#artursilovs #silovs #vancouvecaucks #nhl
Even though that the Vancouver Canucks lost game 7, one great thing came out of this playoff run, the emergence of Arturs Silovs. Silovs did everything he could for the Vancouver Canucks in Game 7. He made big saves to give them a chance to try to make comeback. The Vancouver Canucks need to make it a priority to sign Arturs Silovs to a new contract this summer. I think he is going to be a great 2nd goalie for Demko. Silovs showed us that he has a lot of potential.

Honestly, if Edmonton had Silovs as their goalie, I think they'd 100% be going to finals and possibly even win in it all.

No it would destroy him. Edmonton doesn’t have goalie development like Vancouver does. Edmonton should for their goalie coach and rebuild the goalie development system. There’s a reason every goalie in Edmonton sucks

Absolutely incredible! This young man was thrown in deep end and told sink or swim. He did an amazing job to give the Canucks a chance. He held off some of the most talented scorers in the NHL, not just ordinary run of the mill all-stars, guys who have won trophies like Art Ross (6 of the last 8 seasons) and Rocket Richard. HOLD YOUR HEAD HIGH ARTURS!!!

He was good, but he had a major weakness that prevented him from stealing games like Demko would. Silovs has trouble with long distance shots as he's not always good at tracking the puck from a distance. He's good at keeping the Canucks in games, but not good at stealing them. Bubble Demko stole playoff games for Vancouver and that's why the Knights players had incredible respect for Demko during their handshake moment at the end of that series. I didn't see this from Oilers players for Silovs in their handshake moment. Silovs is still a very good goalie, but he needs to improve his tracking skills from a distance before he can get to the next level. But, this is why you have a difference (because of 1 or more flaws) between a very good goalie and goalies like Hasek, Roy, Brodeur and the like.
