Have the first generation Macan GTS too and it's honestly the greatest. Had a Range Rover Sport before, and the Macan shits on it. It's so reliable, really feels like a sports car despite it size, and sounds great. I wouldn't go for the Turbo though, weirdly it sounds worse. Can't say one bad thing about this car.

@@hamidurrahman2929 Do it! If I were you I wouldn’t get a regular Macan though, but an S/GTS/Turbo. I got rid of the last one as it was about 4 or 5 years old (nothing wrong with it) and ordered a new one around half a year ago. It should arrive next week or the one after. I’m really looking forward to it!

@@matty7127 Agreed. Had a 2016 Macan S and just traded that in for a 2021 GTS. Huge difference in performance. Sports exhaust scares the old ladies on the golf course. No comparing the two and I loved that S.

Just my two pence worth Paul, had many sports hatches, saloons etc and I decided to purchase a Macan GTS in April of this year and sold it 3 months later. Don’t get me wrong it was a lovely looking SUV but after coming from a car if you’re looking for a sports car feel I honestly think you’ll be bored within a couple of months like I was. Heavy on fuel and nothing to really shout about on the performance compared to the competition. Great residuals I can’t deny but it’s just starting to show its age a little internally. If you’re dead set on one then you could always buy my old GTS from Tony, it’s still for sale at Gravelwoods and is a lovely well spec.d example 😁👍

15:15 perfect doesn't truly exist with a used car, particularly today. You're always at the mercy of original owners' specs, mileage the car has done, wear and tear/blemishes it has picked up along the way etc. Combine all of that with the global new car shortage and hot used car market, it's best to get "perfection" out of your mind and not prance around brilliant purchase options, before they're snapped up by someone else. This Macan, mileage and all, is as perfect as you'll get for the price. To me, letting it go to someone else and you end up with an Audi or something, especially if it ends up being the same money, is a wasted opportunity. Porsche > Audi

I ended up picking up a facelift C43 estate over this. Even with the particuate filter, it's loud as hell with plenty of pops and crackles thanks to the optional AMG Performance Exhaust. It's practical, comfortable, and really quick. Price is roughly the same as this, but you would get one with lower mileage. Considering that the upcoming replacement will be a 4-cylinder hybrid, it could potentially hold its value fairly well.

As a GTS owner can happily say great all round car! I have the Gun metal grey, red stitching, alcantara seats also! It’s a must and the chrono pack is also a must! Never looked back since! PS exhaust valve button👌🏽😩

I have one and have to say it is one of the best cars I have owned. Not sure that spec is out of the ordinary to be honest for a GTS. When you look for tow bar and TV tuner then they are harder to find. My only input is make sure it has full Porsche service history and price in Porsche warranty.

Paul, consider a cpo Macan GTS or Turbo. The cpo allows at least 2 years unlimited mileage plus any balance of factory warranty. Plus you can ask porsche about any financing options they have. Right now the rates in the US are pretty good. I would think UK finance would be competitive.

Bud I can tell you I just sold mine last Nov to daily a 992 and frankly the driving experience similarities are staggering. So much so that I’ll be adding one back to the garage. Mega daily and never had a single issue and I ran it up to 90k miles. One thing I’ll say, before you buy any Macan, spend some time in a parking lot at low speed, turning at full lock and feel the way the transfer case responds. If it’s jerky and shuddering, RUN. Macans have now issues with Transfer case failure and out of warranty that’s $$$$$.

Hi John, I believe the transfer gear boxes are covered by Porsche from the date of registration for 7 years, and understand it's only up to the 2018 1st gen were affected.

@@joneastelow3242 you’re right they will take care of it, but it’s a hassle and there are multiple reports of dealers fighting back and refusing to diagnose. Regardless I think it’s a fair thing to be aware of and look into prior to purchasing.

The Macan GTS is a great choice mate, but you can also consider the BMW X4M or the Mercedes GLC 43 AMG. I am sure if you are interested in those two cars though.

The flat panel just came out in the 2022 model. I bought a 2021 three months ago that still has buttons. Not sure you'd find any at this point; I got the only GTS for about a 250 mile radius.

Compared to other GTS on the market at present this one is a little over priced . Mileage is high plenty of others around similar spec with lower miles - great car I think they are a real all rounder👍

I have a white one, Sound gorgeous, 0-100 is irrelevant anymore! But you need to keep 3000 rpm to get the power out. My new Cayenne Coupe GTS is on the way, that should be better with V8

I think you'll lose money on that, it'll be worth around 30k with 75k miles. its probably reached its max regarding re-sale value and current mileage. If it had 40k miles id be interested..

Nah not 30k, it’s not the same as a C Class or an A3. We’re talking about Porsche here. They hold their value quite well where I live, I would imagine it being worth 50k. My Macan GTS ended up costing around €90.000 with all the options in the end. They’re extremely reliable and even requested now.

@@danhall5761 30k is reasonable for the base Macan, but this is the GTS. Where I live (Luxembourg), there are Macans everywhere and they won’t even sell for that cheap. They really don’t depreciate much.

There is a Macan GTS at BCA auctions at Belle vue. Red with 4512 miles in the clock . On a 70 plate . It should be on line tomorrow . I don’t know the reserve price.

In the grand scheme of thing. The mileage isn’t too concerning. If it’s ex company it’s probably lived on a motorway for most of its life & will have been serviced. Check the paperwork! If you’re still concerned ask for money off. Dealerships are generally more concerned with excessively low mileage when it comes to resale. Case in point. I am a disabled driver on Motability & I lease my cars for 3 years, but due to the pandemic had my previous car for 40 months. It was returned with 12,400 miles on the clock, Yes 12,400! I usually get close to that in a year. First thing the garage said “what’s wrong with it?”…. Absolutely nothing! “We might have problems selling this one!” As it was, it was sent to auction and appeared on a forecourt down south for almost £12k plus another 465 miles on the clock.
