The losses Lia suffered were noticed but the reasoning explaining them was ignored. The losses mysteriously always came immediately after some new record shattering performance as a way for defenders to point to them and say "see we're right being male isn't a physical advantage in women's sports" somehow ignoring that Lia would herself shatter records in those events whenever convenient. The Kiwi weightlifter had been on test suppressors for a long time by Tokyo which could point to her failure. Which I think just supports the idea that Lia being on HRT for only 12 months is a complete joke. I'm against it in general but if the progs are gonna try and do this they need to try harder, because 12 months is absolutely nothing when it comes to changing the physical body for transwomen. There's an obvious advantage every time we see it happen, so why not create a trans inclusive league? That way, if natural born women want to compete against trans athletes, they can. well because "Cis" women wouldn't want to, they don't now, but are essentially being bullied into it, and because the Trans community WANTS the optics of them in the womens league as the ultimate goal, to an almost weird degree, it isn't even about "an easier go" for the majority, especially the non-athletes who are proponents for the Athletes themselves (who may or may not just want to more easily win) its about forcing their inclusion and re-writing reality so that everyone accepts and believes that there is no differences biologically between Cis and Trans women, they want you to believe that even in your head, ALA double-think.

The only way this will change is if they finally distinguish flavours of trans from one another, but they never will if they must fight to be 'inclusive'. I'm 5'5'' and as much as I love football, as much I loved competing in highschool and was even legitimately good at it given my limitations, there was no way I could have played at a college level. I didn't choose to be short, I didn't want to be short, I didn't want to stop competing but I was told in very plain terms that there were things in life that I just couldn't do. I wasn't offered complementary growth hormones because "my identity as a football player didn't match my manlet body", I was told to suck it up, stop playing football and focus on school. For me, the situation is very similar: I'm really sorry for trans people that legitimately want to continue competing after their transition but "the right to compete" doesn't exist. When you enter competition you're going to be judge on a bunch of things and some of them are going to be genetics. If the rest of the field thinks you shouldn't be here, then you can't be.

I was walking down a street with my super artsy ex, she has basically had never had any exposure to sport, probably all her exposure to it was through movies. We decided to race for some reason. So I was running about 80% obviously winning and looked back. I saw her struggling to run with a shocked expression and that was the weird thing. She had no clue how fast a 'man' was. I think she was under the impression that, yes men are stronger, but just a little bit. I think she and most people don't know the WTF level difference in physical strength between men and women. They probably watch movies of Scarlett Johansson picking up soldiers with one hand and thinking, "Yes it is a bit exaggerated but probably not that far off so I think trans is probably fair".

Everytime the topic of transwomen in sports comes up, I'm reminded of high school and when the girls varsity volleyball team would scrimage the boys JV volleyball team. Most of the girls on the team had been playing volleyball for several years and some had participated in clubs, whereas most of the boys on the team were relatively new to the sport and had only been playing for 1-2 years. Nevertheless, the boys team dominated every scrimmage. The girls may have been much more skilled and experienced at the sport, but that didn't matter to the boys strength and powerful spikes and serves, not to mention the fact that we had to play on a women's net which is much shorter than a men's net, giving them further advantage. My point is that men and women have always been and will always be different, physically and psychologically, so why are we trying to delude ourselves into thinking that we're not. Boys are (generally) stronger than girls which is why we have separate sports in the first place. We need to stop this lying before we lose women's spots.

Hubbard failing at the Olympics is a red herring. If she had performed as well as she did in her previous win, she would have walked away with the Silver. The female gold medalist is untouchable in the sport... in large part because she's a gifted phenom, and also because she weight 150kg at 5 foot 11. The important context with Hubbard is that she was mediocre when she competed as a man. Her claim to fame was a Total of 300kg, a record for New Zealand at the time, but almost 200kg below the current men's world record of 492kg in competition. Jeez. Everything's really already been said. 98% of men would probably get their shit kicked in by a female kickboxer, but compare that same women to male kickboxers that are also trying and the picture gets hellah skewed. In top sports the only thing that matters is performing at the top, and any middling male at the top can probably blow all kinds of women's records out of the water. That's exactly what we see with trans-females. Men with little motivation figuring out that they can beat women far more easily, they just have to ruin their bodies forever and they'll be in the history books, for a time. Until their better male counterparts get similar ideas and the distinction between male and female records are just abolished by the end. Nobody believes trans sports records matter. Even to the left they're just a tool for their movement. To celebrate milestones and do victory laps improving their own morale while leaving huge swathes of the population by the wayside because it is somehow virtuous to oppress a majority to accommodate a minority. Not everyone can become the top of sports. If transitioning means there's just another barrier to entry atop genetics, I'm not really concerned. People must make unfair choices all the time. Hecc, I'm autistic in a world that clearly isn't designed for me, since you can't build a world for a minority (which will cripple productivity in not only the majority, but other minorities too) you just gotta take what life gives you on the cheek and make it work. Some paths will likely never be available to me. Much the same as actual trans athletes. Tough luck. They can still measure themselves against the only thing that matters. Yesterday's performance.

And asking a man to lower their testosterone to below that level wont kill you. It will on the "dangerous" side mostly give you a higher risk of developing brittle bones, not something that kills. And yes, you do ruin your body forever... You start developing breast tissue, there are permanent brain rewrites, and fat deposits move around, and there are in general muscular tissue changes that will never fully revert. I study sports sciences (it's a Masters program) and it was obvious to the point of not having to be mentioned that Testosterone has physical benefits for men AND women, hence its illegal usage as a performance-enhancing drug and drug-testing for T-levels. About a year ago, when the Fallon Fox controversy swashed over to German media, the consensus changed. Suddenly, "it is not conclusively proven that Testosterone is directly correlated with performance benefits." Science is dead. It doesn't grant you predictive value anymore, it just is used to gain plausible reason to to what politics wanted to to anyway and to cast reasonable doubt onto what politics doesn't want to do. Commonwealth knowledge suddenly is reversed because there was no need to study if it is healthy for example to wear a cloth mask over your face the whole day, and now that there *is* a need you cannot find anybody who is neutral enough to study the issue unbiased.

1:40 It first came up (as far as I'm aware), in 2002 or 2004(?) when the Olympics committee started asking about it and started looking to specify rules about it. Because trans athletes were competing in women's college and low level leagues in the US.

I prefer to phrase the situation like this: everyone has the right to freedom of association. That means that ciswomen have the right to form sports leagues (or shelters or support groups or whatever) all of their own. Keeping transwomen out of these spaces is not a violation of transwomen's rights, but forcing ciswomen to accept transwomen into these spaces is a violation of ciswomen's right to freedom of association.

Forcing male-only spaces to accept women for the past 50+ years says hi. Women have rights, men don't. That's a big part of why so many men try to turn themselves into fake women.

@RoninCatholic
@RoninCatholic 2 жыл бұрын
@@junior1388666 The "why" is pretty simple. They seized total control of college level education over a century ago, and with that were able to influence lawyers, lawmakers, journalists, entertainers, and K-12 educators; with a couple generations of that, they were able to influence the general population. Selling the boomer grandchildren of their own generation on a gravy train of benefits that'd never end, the borrowed money from the future (our and the current batch of children's money) to artificially pump up "progress" and "prosperity" and bribe people into voting for ever more and more progressivism. Secure and pampered with more luxury than any generation before, our culture became complacent and, after the last few strong conservatives finally chopped down old leftist mainstays like civil rights abuses, the left took credit for this and people went really soft for a couple generations. Progressive outrage mobs of the 60s and 70s had nothing left to fight for in the 90s and 2000s, so they had to start inventing made-up grievances, sorta like how allergies to innocuous things develop if you don't give your immune system things to fight; hence "gay rights" and "systemic racism" and "microaggressions".

"ciswomen" is such a humiliating terms. Women became a subcategory even into their own category because men said they felt like women and their word is law and now women have to pretend they are fine with being perceived as a set of stereotypes instead as full human beings.

6:40 so as a kid i played generic travel hockey. I also got to witness how a AAA (top level) women's team trains for their games. They trained way harder and way more seriously then any of the mens teams ive been on. Then when we played a practice scrimmage against them they got completely destroy. I was a goalie and in both how they skate and shoot, their top level best players where about as powerful and fast as our mid bottom tier players, it doesn't even come close, and training wont fix in strength based sports what testosterone gives you

The way I feel about basically every trans issue is this. If you’re an adult, you can make the choice to do whatever you want to your own body, however, you should know that doing those things will have consequences for you. I’m allowed to eat junk food every day and never work out, but I’ll have to deal with the consequences of getting fat. Reality will not bend to my desires and allow me to do that without dealing with the consequences, so I have a choice to make. In the same way, you as a trans person have the choice to make. Is the chance to be seen as the sex if your choice important enough to deal with the consequences of that choice? One of those consequences is you’ll be hard pressed to find a way to compete on a fair playing field with 99% of the human race athletically, is that worth it? That’s your choice. But reality will not bend to your desires and make it so you can have your cake and eat it too. You have to make the choice, and accept the consequences, that’s what being a free adult is.

The problem with "trans" "women" is that men have a higher testosterone, and even after "transitioning" are still capable of building more muscle than biological women, much like how someone on steroids still has a higher potential for building muscle than others, even after stopping their steroids. Some of the effects of having a high amount of testosterone is permanent and even lowering the amount of testosterone will not end these effects.

On the hormone point - It's interesting that she did a full year of hormone treatment, but then also still shattered records etc... It sort of leads to a reverse perspective on equity, where you sort of have to cut down the length of her legs to make it fair. At least this SOUNDS like what is being complained about regarding the advantages, right? I know, I'm not stupid, obviously the answer is just not to have transwomen in women's sports, they belong in the men's divisions and can do as much or as little treatment as they want to deal with whatever they need or want for their transition, rather than nerf themselves with drugs to feel accepted somewhere they don't belong.

This actually kind if reminds me of some women I know who swam on my team. They were basically the fastest on the team compared with all the girls, and even kicked most of the men out too. Now compared to those on the same training level they lost but could still compete with one another. But these women not only had very androgynous bodies, small breasts, and very stream lined body shapes, but also worked so hard and so much they would literally stop having their periods.

@@tarnw3301 not exactly, there can be several reasons to someone missing a menstrual cycle, they were all top tier swimmers, they didn't exactly have the luxury of having bad nutrition. @@rexnas8150 I don't doubt they were top swimmers. I just point out how their amenorrhea was most likely caused due malnutrition. Or as the study "Dietary intervention Restored Menses in Female athletes (...)" By Lyan Cialdella-Kam, it's due the lack of enough carbohydrates-protein.

@@tarnw3301 okay, and I can tell you that they weren't, because it isn't only caused by malnutrition and that being a top athlete they can't afford to not eat properly. @@rexnas8150 they should have been eating more than regular people. I also read it's caused due stressors and hormonal imbalance. The thing with Hubbard was that yeah she failed her lifts, but she made it in at 43 years old. That was insanely old. Before her the oldest woman was early thirties and even the oldest man was 38. He was by far the oldest competitor ever until Hubbard who had another 5 years! Plus there's the question you have to ask yourself, did Hubbard fail her lifts on purpose to avoid the controversy? I am not sure I think that's true but I do think it's worth asking.

One thing people often forget to mention is the fact that most of the men who transitioned were not winning in the men's category pre-transition. For example, Lia Thomas was ranked 500th (if i remember correctly) in the men's category and after transitioning she's easily in the top 10 for females. I think that shows a clear advantage.
