SHOULD WE BE SAILING RIGHT NOW??? What it's like to CRUISE with an INJURY - Boarding Celebrity Apex

Jason just had major shoulder surgery two weeks ago... so should we be cruising right now?? Well, the way we look at it, a cruise ship is a pretty good place to relax and recover... so that is what we are doing this week... it is all about rest and relaxation!!
This is an amazing ship! We were on the Edge last year and Apex is her sister ship. They are almost idential except for a few changes here and there. So it was great to get on the ship and know exactly where everything is! And we just LOVE the style of cabins on this class of ship! The Infinite Verandahs are amazing!! To have all of that extra square footage in your cabin while you are not using the balcony is great... not to mention the floor to ceiling windows...
We have Aqua class on this sailing which means we have full access to the thermal spa... perfect for Jason's recovery! And we are going to take full advantage of it!

In 2019 I injured my knee day before our first cruise had to wear a knee brace the whole cruise and ice it 3 times a day. We are finally going on our 2nd cruise on the same ship so I can enjoy what I couldn’t enjoy the first time . Get well soon Jason

I love , love Celebrity. I have sailed on the Edge a few times and am booked on the March 12th Apex cruise. I have booked a cruise on the upcoming Beyond and yes on the Ascent. Here's hoping you have a full recovery of your shoulder. We don't realize how many things we do using our shoulder and the necessity of having full range of motion of our shoulder.

Glad you're healing up. I had surgery on Nov 9, 2021 because of a broken fibula and dislocated ankle. Still trying to recover and walk properly again. We're doing Carnival Panorama at the end of March and Radiance of the Seas for a B2B Alaska in May. Fingers crossed. PS, we sailed Apex at the end of Aug 2021 around Greece & Croatia. She's a GORGEOUS ship!! We had a Deluxe Porthole Balcony 7107. We didn't find those cupboards by the coral until Day 3 🤣 They just didn't look like they opened and I didn't try pulling on them. We also only had 420 passengers. Felt like a private cruise at times!

Seeing you all enjoying your cruise cheered me up no end. We should be travelling this weekend to Florida to join our cruise on Monday, but due to medical conditions can’t fly for at least 4 weeks. Hubby has managed to reschedule everything to November and we are cruising on Edge again. We love Celebrity . We always go Aqua Class so we can enjoy eating in Blu where the staff get to know you as friends, as well as experiencing the wonderful spa.

I can’t believe you are on a cruise so soon after shoulder surgery. Im scheduling my rotator surgery for after my Independence cruise a month from now. I had this surgery 16 years ago and couldn’t even function or dress myself after 2 weeks! We’ve been on 3 cruises with RC since October and can’t wait to be mask free on this next one. Hopefully the crew gets to lose their masks soon. Felt so bad for them on our cruise 2 weeks ago, as most of them were double masked. Love your channel! Hopefully your recovery goes quickly.

Great video wish I could be there with you all. I feel for Jason I had major Spine cervical Artificial Disc Replacement surgery 19 days ago. I was supposed to be on Royal Caribbean Independence of the Seas Feb 7th but had surgery on the 10th. Hoping I can get on a cruise in September. Ship looks great have fun and go easy on that shoulder Jason! Loved seeing Tony, Jenny & Don too.

We went on a 7 day cruise 20 days after I had a knee replacement, not a good idea , I over done it 😢could do any excursions, had to ice it 3 times a day was using a walker. Wasn’t a good idea

"Should" Jason be cruising is probably a really personal choice that only y'all can make, but from my perspective, yes! It seems like a perfect recovery spot because you'll have the room attendants cleaning up after y'all, and it's a good excuse to lounge and relax even though y'all are still at work. He might feel more obligated to push himself to do stuff around the house if y'all were at home. How did it go in terms of his healing process while cruising? Hope y'all are doing amazing ❤️

Sure, you should be cruising ! I just got off the N.C.L. Joy last Saturday in Miami after 7 days { Roatan, Belieze, Costa Maya, Cozumel }. Had a BLAST. I basically LIVED at" The Cavern" watching the" BEATLES STORY" , a Great Tribute Band of 4 Italians. NOTE : we only had 1,650 guests and all 1,600 of the regular Crew on Board. They said in December, there was only 900 guests sailing.

I know, seems like they go every other week I am retired from travel did alot of visits to Carribbean and Mexico Hawaiii, My speciality, not cruises but didn't go half as much must be nice wonder what Jason does for a living and if she depends on being a cruise agent for employment. My husband was a manager got maybe 6 weeks of vacation a year so couldnt go away as much as I would have liked to.
